We had a great time!

It was a Christmas gift to our daughters ages 14, 20 & 23. We totally enjoyed it. The food was great and we learned so much about Greenwich Village that we could not have found out on our own. Our tour guide, Marie, was right there where we were supposed to meet her and she gave us a great introduction including a bottle of water. I wasn't sure what to expect since I had booked it online, but it certainly was worth it. We can't wait to try another tour.

My husband and two teenagers (17 and 15) joined me on the Greenwich Food Tour. It was Day 7 of our NYC trip, and we'd pretty much seen it all - shows, museums, Liberty and Ellis Islands, the Rockettes, the Nutcracker, the Empire State Building and the Top of the Rock, meals at fine restaurants, shopping galore - and we were already suffering from sensory overload. The Food Tour was like a breath of fresh air - exactly what we needed! Curt, our tour guide, couldn't have been better: Warm, funny, engaging, charismatic, and friendly, there was never a dull moment. As he expertly guided us thru the Village and showered us with tasty morsels and peppered us with interesting trivia about the place and the people, we experienced the Village in 3.5 hours in a way that we wouldn't have been able to accomplish with the 4 or 5 guidebooks that we bought for our tour. We arrived at the designated spot about an hour early and spent the time browsing at the shops: OMG, it was a foodie's delight!!! We didn't want to be loaded with shopping bags and made it a point to take note of what goodies we wanted to buy at the end of the tour. Among the highlights of our tour: The tasty aroncini from Faicco's (my son went back and bought a dozen to-go) The cheese tasting at Murray's - the only thing was we could have used some vino :-) The mini cannolis from Rocco's - literally melted in the mouth The wonderful risotto from Centro Vinoteca - we loved it so much we went back for an early dinner after doing some shopping, and we were not disappointed - the meal was wonderful!!! The cauliflower with caramelized onions, pine nuts, and currants we had at a private kitchen - even my son who is not into veggies, ate his share and asked for more. The very flavorful slice of pizza with a to-die-for crust We enjoyed this tour immensely, and Curt deserves a lot of the credit for making it so much fun. Food Tours will definitely be part of any future NYC trips!

What a wonderful three hours. The Greenwich Village food and history tour, led by our marvelous tour guide, Cindy, was one of the best tourist activities we undertook during our Christmas in NYC vacation. The historical perspective given by the tour guide, along with the incredible food and rich culture, was a perfect combination. Five Stars!

I'm from the Bronx and I have never seen New York this way and realized all these great small shops and restaurants that I always pass by on a daily occasion. Our tour guide Cindy was a blast and kept me and my friend with a smile the entire time. Although the crappy weather (raining and super cold), I didn't regret a thing. We got to meet the chefs, meet new people in our group and more importantly EAT! Incredible experience for local and out of town-ers. Lots of fun!

Though the weather was terrible, my dad and I enjoyed it. We had been to the area the day before, but the tour brought that area to life, no question about it. Since we went right after xmas, some of the places were closed as one might expect. I guess more alternative destinations would have been welcomed though the tour guide did provide substitute locations. I am recommending to a family member that is visiting the area in a few months. Without question, this was a highlight.

Now we feel like a small part of NY is our home!

We have visited NY many times. After Marie took us around the western village we felt so at ease and welcomed. No longer the tourist or outsider we now feel that no matter what, we can go to a small corner of the NY world and feel like we belong. So much personalization and wonderful committment to the food and history of the area. After the tour we did not want to leave, we could have kept walking around and tasting for hours (but we were full). Thank you for a great day, and for teaching us to "fish" instead of just giving us food. The Sherman's from N.C.

My daughter and I loved the Greenwich Village tour. We found out about the tour from someone that had taken it the week before our trip. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences. It rained for most of the tour but that did not dampen our tour guide's, Marie, spirit. She was fantastic! We enjoyed the most wonderful food. We highly recommend it. We tasted some amazing food and enjoyed the history of the Village. We will definitely take another tour when we come back to New York! Thank you so much. I think a tour like this should be offered for every borough.

Our recent food trip provided me and my group with more than food samplings. The indepth history of the area was equally important and our guide Barri was`friendly, professional and on top of her game. The conditions were not ideal in that it was cold and rainning but at all times Barri kept her focus and made us all feel comfortable and warm. I have recommended this tour and your services to many of my customers ( I am in the restaurant business since 1983) and I am sure that you will see more visitors from the Belvidere New Jersey area in the future. I will probably take more of your tours. I also set up motorcycle tours and maybe we can set something up in 2010 during the spring or summer for a group of bikers to take one of your tours. Thank you, Michael Moyer

One of our highlights!

Susan, our guide, was wonderful and the food we experienced was very good, so much so we went to Monties for dinner that night. A pleasant evening for 12. We did have a negative experience regarding a Jazz bar - "Next Door" I think it was called, where they rejected our "application" to sit in the tiny Jazz area as we were such a large group, even when I pointed out they had enough seating. Never mind, we went off to Cafe Wha instead. Great music of a different sort. Once again, thank you Susan for your professionalism.

We brought our 15yo along for the tour, and were thrilled that she enjoyed the tour as much as we did. Our tour guide was a local, and strove to make our tour informative, interesting and fun. The food tasting were first class and we recommend this to all ages, and walks of life. (We went back to one of the restaurants before we finished our holiday). Though it had been snowing, and could have been uncomfortable, at all times our comfort and safety was of concern. Well done!!!

This was our third (each different) NYC food tour in the past few years! We were again, very pleased. Our guide was great, very friendly, yet professional. The businesses we entered were welcoming. The food was wonderful. Compared to other tours we have taken, this seemed to have the fewest actual food stops, however I believe the servings were bigger at each one. We were a family of four, including our two college aged children that also enjoyed the tour. I would highly recommend this tour, as well as giving the others a try. This will be the best spent $40 in NYC!
