What a great time!

Our recent food trip provided me and my group with more than food samplings. The indepth history of the area was equally important and our guide Barri was`friendly, professional and on top of her game. The conditions were not ideal in that it was cold and rainning but at all times Barri kept her focus and made us all feel comfortable and warm. I have recommended this tour and your services to many of my customers ( I am in the restaurant business since 1983) and I am sure that you will see more visitors from the Belvidere New Jersey area in the future. I will probably take more of your tours. I also set up motorcycle tours and maybe we can set something up in 2010 during the spring or summer for a group of bikers to take one of your tours. Thank you, Michael Moyer

One of our highlights!

Susan, our guide, was wonderful and the food we experienced was very good, so much so we went to Monties for dinner that night. A pleasant evening for 12. We did have a negative experience regarding a Jazz bar - "Next Door" I think it was called, where they rejected our "application" to sit in the tiny Jazz area as we were such a large group, even when I pointed out they had enough seating. Never mind, we went off to Cafe Wha instead. Great music of a different sort. Once again, thank you Susan for your professionalism.

We brought our 15yo along for the tour, and were thrilled that she enjoyed the tour as much as we did. Our tour guide was a local, and strove to make our tour informative, interesting and fun. The food tasting were first class and we recommend this to all ages, and walks of life. (We went back to one of the restaurants before we finished our holiday). Though it had been snowing, and could have been uncomfortable, at all times our comfort and safety was of concern. Well done!!!

This was our third (each different) NYC food tour in the past few years! We were again, very pleased. Our guide was great, very friendly, yet professional. The businesses we entered were welcoming. The food was wonderful. Compared to other tours we have taken, this seemed to have the fewest actual food stops, however I believe the servings were bigger at each one. We were a family of four, including our two college aged children that also enjoyed the tour. I would highly recommend this tour, as well as giving the others a try. This will be the best spent $40 in NYC!

Can't recommend this highly enough! It sheds a whole new light on Greenwich Village. The tour guide was very informative, the places we visited and samples we tasted were all excellent. Personally this was the highlight of my week in New York. What more can I say? If I return to New York, I'll be doing this again.

we are a family of foodies ages 12-75. We went on the Village tour two years ago and enjoyed it so much that on our return to N.Y. we decided to go on on another tour and we also enjoyed this one.as well. We would highly recommed these tours. Both tours gave the history of the area and fun food tastes.

Great way to get a taste of the West Village

This tour was a great way to sample the West Village so that you can get an idea of places to come back and try on your own. Food was sampled from about 10 different locations and food from many other establishments was described. Getting the food guide booklet was also very helpful. We ended up coming back to the West Village twice more for dinners on the same trip to try some of the other places that we didn't sample from on the tour. The tour also was good for history of the area as well as information on the neighborhood in general. The $46 price is also very reasonable when compared to other food tours I have taken in other cities. The information gained and the experience was definitely worth the money.

My family of 2 adult children (in their 20s) and spouse took the tour.. The guide was excellent and we really learned a lot about the area - food establishments and life in general in Grreenwich - past and present. Food was ample, delicious and varied. We returned the next night for dinner at one of the local restaurants which we would never have known about if not for the tour.

We loved the tour so much that we came back the next day to eat at three of the different places we visited. Sephra was great! We highly recommend this for anyone and everyone! Saw two film stars by chance during the tour; what a bonus!

best organized and enthusiastic

This was one of the best organized tours I have ever taken. Rahim's excitement for the neighborhood shined through in his explanations of the history and culture of the area as well as present day information. The restaurants and in particular the food choices were absolutely amazing. The written information provided during the tour will guide me back to the places we visited and to some of the best bites of food I have ever sampled and also to places and dishes described in such detail by Rahim that I can't wait to return to New York to find these hidden gems. Our entire group was absolutely full of food and knowledge at the end of the tour. Rahim clearly has a passion for food and culture and I would recommend any tour that he leads.

The tour guide was AMAZING. She was very knowledgeable on the history of the area as well as the history of the restaurants, the buildings they were in and their owners. We took a small detour away from the food to learn some interesting facts of Greenwich Village like were the skinniest house in Manhattan is and where Ken and Barbie were born. Would do it all over again if we could.

Every visit was culinary delight. From the pizza to cauliflower florettes with pine nuts. Our guide was a true local and she really gave us a great sense of what the old new York was like. We ate plenty and learned from the store owners and chefs. I highly recommend this tour as it really showcases great food in ny.

Excellent food and informative tour of the village
Mon, Dec 21, 09   11:00 AM sarahworth Female 30-39 International Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
The Greenwich food tour was excellent! We went in freezing temperatures, with snow everywhere, but the pace of the tour kept us interested and we forgot about how cold it was. We had 8-10 samples of food, each being something that was really tasty and something that we probably wouldn't have picked out by ourselves. We were full by the end of the tastings. The tour guide explained about the history of the area and recommended places to eat on other occasions. The guide also gave us tons of information about the history of the area and the architecture. I will recommend this tour to everyone in future.
