Foods of New York Tours

I have been to NYC before and have done the most touristy things already and was looking for something fun and educational. This tour was exactly what I was looking for. Our tour guide, Kurt, was hilarious and really made the tour unforgettable. The food was amazing, the history of the area was so interesting, the tour guide was so funny and we had a wonderful time! Totally recommend this to anyone!

I can't say enough good about our tour. It was hilarious, informative, and delicious. My friends and I considered it the highlight of our trip. Our guide, Kurt kept us laughing and interested every minute. Thank you!

This is a fun tour not only for tourists, but local foodies. The restaurant selections were excellent (especially the Peking Duck House) and our guide (Bert) was extremely friendly, enthusiastic, and well-informed. I'll be suggesting this tour to my friends, no doubt.

We had a great time. Food was great, stories excellent, and our group was very friendly and interacted well. Our host, Kurt, made the day. Had great stories, knew his subject, and was on excellent terms with the various eateries. We highly recommend this tour.

We went with just the expectation of tasting some good food but got so much more.....we took the Central Village/SoHo tour, and although it was listed as a 3 hour walking tour, we actually didnt walk that far!!! The tour did last over 3 hours, and the time just flew. our guide (Susan) did a great job of keeping the large group (16 I think) together throughout, and of making sure that everyone could hear what was going on in spite of the day to day business going on around on the NYC streets. We had 6 tastings - 4 street, 2 sit in. Each one better than the next. My particular (unexpected) favourites were the indian tasting (flat bread wrap with spiced egg, peas, onions) and mango lassi to wash it down, as well as the falafel. What was brilliant about the tour is that Susan pointed out many more venues and gave loads of ideas for places that we would like to visit again with more time - and we came back to the village that evening for more, but were well informed, knew exactly what we wanted and where we were going. I have been to NYC many times, but this was something very different and new. Much better and more informative than using my lonely planet guide to decide what to do and where to go!!

We were surprised at the amount of food samplings we enjoyed. Everyone delicious and different. Our guide, Susan, knew the area well and was proud to share its unique features to all of us. We had a delightful walk through the neighborhoods as she pointed out the numerous ethnic restaurants and local architecture. Absolutely, will try the other tours on our next visit!

We all enjoyed the tour. Plenty of good food. Great review of the area and all the restaurants. Only problem was thar it was cold and windy and had to eat on the street sometimes. Our guide was very good.

Our tour guide, Susan, was both knowledgeable and personable. She made the tour an enjoyable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys history and food. She made sure everyone had a good time and also made sure that the food we tasted was both delicious as well as a great sampling for the area that we covered. I've got to say when the tour was over you were full..didn't need to eat lunch! Samples were a significant size even for a "big eater". I honestly can't say anything negative about the tour! Keep it the way it is! awesome!

We had a great time eating our way around Greenwich Village. The food, architecture, and history of the Village were all presented in an easy, relaxed, and user-friendly format. The food itself was worth the money (and everything else was bonus).

For a group of about 10 people this is the perfect size to allow real interaction with the tour guide and also to negotiate through the shops. Our guide clearly has a passion for food, which is vital for a tour like this. Needless to say the food was simply delicious, and we both felt quite full at the end of the tour.

The tour was well organised and we had a great guide. Not all of the food was to our taste but this didn't matter as there were plenty of tastings and stops. The atmosphere of the group was good as well - probably thanks to our guide. It was a nice size and everybody got the chance to chat to each other.

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Chelsea market....but the tour guide Was even better.He was knowledgable. And v ery funny.Thanks for.a great afternoon!

This was our second food tour and we enjoyed it as much as the first. The food is fantastic and the tour guide very enthusiastically informs you of the background and history of the neighbourhood. We highly recommend these food tours to anyone we know visiting and living in New York.

I have done a Foods of New York Tour once before with a small group of friends, the Soho tour, so I knew how good this outfit is. This time I chose the Greenwich/Soho tour, with my daughter, age 31. She loved it, and I thought this tour was even better than my previous, which was a hard act to follow! Our guide, Rameen, was outstanding, he really made it so fun and informative, a most knowledgable, well educated guy. We got such a sense of life & culture in the area, past and present, and ate wonderful foods along the way. Got to know some food shops, small restaurants, clubs, that you'd want to return to. What I also liked about the tour is that we saw a lot, but the area we covered was fairly compact, so not miles of trotting to get from place ro place. Rameen had a great personality and we enjoyed hearing some of his own funny experiences acclimating to the neighbourhood scene. We both came away very enriched, and we have been in NYC several times. There is always great stuff to learn and see!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the food tour. We had been without electricity for 6 days due to a freak NJ snow storm, what an enjoyable get away we had for the day going on this food tour. The tour guide was great, food fantastic, sites enjoyable. The only negative criticism we have is that there should be time alloted at each establishment to shop and purchase the foods we were enjoying. I am sure each of the establishments would have appreciated selling us their wares. Would highly recommend this food tour to friends and family.
