Our guide - Kurt - was fantastic: personable, very funny, and highly knowledgeable. Learned all our names, and played us all in individually during the tour. The tour covers elements of the geography and history of the village, and visits various places for something to eat - all of which were excellent. The whole experience was brilliant, and represented a top highlight of our trip to New York. We had learned of it from a friend who was an experienced NY visitor - maybe it could be publicised more widely. |

This seems much worse than the Greenwich Village tour. It is almost as if the team decided to create the tour and thought about the food as an afterthought, as it was nothing special whatsoever. Also, the tour guide was not as great as the others at all and was a bit abrasive. |

I did this tour 5 years ago and enjoyed it just a much the second time! A lot of new places to see and sample along with the familiar favorites. I recommend this tour to anyone that I know is going to NYC. |

This is the 3rd food walking tour we've taken (the others were Chelsea/Meatpacking, and Central Village and Soho) and each one gets better than the last. Barri was a wonderful tour guide. She had great knowledge of the area and made this a very enjoyable tour. The food was great too. Before taking these tours, we'd come to NYC and just stay in Times Square because that was all we knew. Now after spending so much time in the Chelsea and Village areas, we're so much more confident to go and stay in different places. That is probably the best testimony to give for taking these walks. The tour guides make you want to stay and check out the places they show you. Their enthusiasm wears off on you! |

We had been to New York City several times but had not spent time in Greenwich Village, so I went online to Goldstar.com looking for something to do and found this tour. We had been on a similiar tour in Sacramento Ca. and loved it, so we signed up. We were again very pleased, the tour guide was a special delight all by herself, she was very witty and made us all laugh and at the same time shared historic stories about the mostly Italian community. We had tastes at each location and we were stuffed by the end, we especaially enjoyed the olive oil store with lots of wonderful tastes. Very good way to spend the afternoon. |

This tour exceeded our expectations. Sephria, our most excellent guide, was cute, charming and really witty. She was knowledgeable about foods and full of facts and inside stories about Greenwich Village and New York. Try and get on her tour, she's terrific.
Come hungry, there's an abundant variety of delicious food, both savory and sweet. Big bang for your buck.
We will definitely take another tour the next time we are in New York. |

My wife and I (from Australia) spent a week of our holiday in New York (Manhattan) and despite pre-planning on seeing the 'major' sights, I also decided on a walking tour to discover a typical New York neighbourhood - and am so glad we did it. Our guide was excellent and the food divine. However, walking around Greenwich Village was the best way to immerse ourselves in the city and to meet some of its people. A very enjoyable and indeed essential experience for anyone wanting to visit New York. |

Our tour director was funny and informative. Food was a bit cheesier than hoped for, but then again, not sure what was hoped for. I guess if you're on an Italian themed tour, do what the Romans do. |

Our tour guide (Karrie Ann, I believe) was wonderful. So knowledgeable but how she presented everything was what made her stand out. It was so conversational. You didn't feel like you were on a tour. Instead I felt like I was spending an afternoon with a friend who brought me around this wonderfully historic part of town and while walking along, taught me little known facts that were interesting and made the neighborhoods come alive.
I feel like I truly know the area and I want to bring others the next time we're in NYC to do this tour as well. I think it was great, not at all intimidating but quite the opposite as I felt I was walking along with a friend (or group of friends). |

We were visiting NYC from St. Louis and Kansas City and used this walking tour to orient us to the Village. The history and "street" knowledge of the neighborhood was superb by Cindy who was a resident of the Village for some peiord of time. All of the vendors were very accomodating, taking great pride in their speciality. I requested some food alternatives due to a gluten intolerance and it was handled smoothly and deliciously. (Plus when the tour is over their is a great gluten free restaurant in the neighborhood for a great slice of GF pizza.). Highly recommend to anyone visiting NYC to get out of mid-town and see how the locals live and support the local businesses. On my next trip to NYC I will definitely schedule another tour of a different area by this same group. WELL DONE and great value for the money. |

We enjoyed the different tastings. For me, there was only one taste sensation, a fig wrapped in bacon and fetta.
The walking component was easy, but there were long periods of just standing around between tastings. This aspect was hard on my knees and afected my experience a little. |
