A delightful introduction to a NY neighbourhood

| As visitors from Australia we thoroughly enjoyed the food tour of Chelsea Market and surrounds. Kurt was a great guide who made every effort to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone in the group. We wish we had done the tour a little earlier in our stay in New York for the tips on where to eat. | ||||||

| Kurt, our guide was fantastic. His knowledge of the tour stops was quite impressive, even to food and wine snobs like ourselves. The 3-hour excursion could have become tiresome and dull, given the amount of info and ground to cover, but Kurt's enthusiasm for NY's food scene and his comedic banter were irresistible. He kept us excited and entertained the whole time. Highly recommend! So glad we did this tour. | ||||||

| This tour was one of the best things we did during our recent six day stay in NYC. We had a hotel in Times Square, and went to Greenwich by subway (very easy). Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Village and showed us many points of interest. The food stops were great, and we left with a good overall picture of the area, and especially dining opportunities for future visits. Next time we'd like to do something similar in Chinatown. | ||||||

| Our guide, Sephra, was funny and engaging on the tour, and she really cared that we were having a good time and was happy to answer all of our questions. She knew alot about the area and the food. My husband and I were thrilled to experience the Greenwich Village in a way we would not have on our own. We loved the food samples and the price was reasonable. | ||||||

| We live on Long Island and this is actually our 2nd tour. We also took the SoHo tour two weeks before. We loved the SoHo tour so much that I took this two weeks later. The tour gude Shafir was so funny and she knows so much about the area and it's history. I would reccommed these tours to everyone,if your a local or out of towner. Can't wait to do the meat packing district tour and the Japenese tasting tours too. We heard great things about them too! Thanks | ||||||

| The chelsea market is nice and interesting, but the guide did not give us a lot of information. The food was good, but I could have bought it on my own. I fond the tour bowring, I did not learn much. The main part was on the market itselve, I would have prefered a longer walk througt the meetpacking district and more history. The guide talked more about himself, that he loves his job, what he has eaten, which cook he met, who cares??? | ||||||

| Our guide Marie was wonderful, thoughtful and considerate of everyone. We enjoyed all the information she imparted about the area and its history. All of the tastings were wonderful, and we returned to Palma for dinner later in the week. The tasting was a delicious "teaser". Would recommend this experience to anyone, regardless of age. | ||||||

| This was a good mix of information, site seeeing and food. The info about the restaurants we didn't visit was good - I'll definitely try some of them. The places we visited were great, as was the food. I also enjoyed the historical information. Our guide (I think Marie?) was personable and knowlegdable. I have 2 suggestions: . Shorten the intro. People get restless and want to get started . Skip the big cookie in the middle or warn people that they might want to save if for later. It was delicious, and I ate all of mine right away. I was too full to really enjoy all that came after. | ||||||

| Great introduction to Chinatown and especially its restaurants. Raheem was knowledgeable and personable. He took us though places we had been before, but told us things we didn't know. We had a great time, just pace yourself. There is plenty of food. We weren't hungry until about ten o'clock at night. We intend to sign up for another Foods of New York tour. Ed D. | ||||||

| This is the second time I have taken a Food Tour with this company and I have LOVED both times!! Took my cuz for her birthday and she was so surprised and delishisly delighted!! | This tour is not just for people who enjoy food. I found the tour guide to be very informative about the area. This was an excellent way to explore an area that I was unfamiliar with and learn about the culture, food and history. I will definately go on another culinary tour!! | ||||||

| First time in NYC and staying in hustle/bustle uptown Manhattan where all the touristy sights and sounds are located, this tour was a refreshing change! It was recommended by my x-daughter-in-law, who lives in Brooklyn. She and her mother came with me on this eating/walking tour. What a fun and enjoyable morning we spent as we had a glimpse of Greenwich Village with its large choice of small intimate restaurants, shops and markets. The food was varied and tasty. Our guide Kurt was enthusiastic, very funny and knowledgeable about the area as we walked around the nearby neighborhood. Our three hours passed so quickly and we were disappointed when the tour came to an end. I enthusiastically recommend this tour! It was well planned, organized and expedited. It was an added bonus to receive the booklet with discount coupons and a list of restaurants in the area. My daughter and I are coming to NYC in December and we will be signing up for this tour. Is there anyway to request my same guide?? Thanx so much for a really fun last day in NYC! | ||||||
