Cindy was a fantastic guide. This is an area that we didn't know anything about. Very interesting history and it seems to be the Happening place.

Great value

The best part of the tour was hearing the back story behind each restaurant and shop, which you can't get if you try to hit these places on your own. The samples were all fantastic, and I am looking forward to doing another tour the next time I'm in NYC. It was really cold the day I toured (January 17th). We were outside for more time than I imagined, so I'd recommend dressing for the elements.

A wonderful way to get acquainted with Greenwich V

I was entertaining a friend who has been to NYC many times. I also have visited many times. Neither of us has seen Greenwich Village in quite this way. It was a very cold day, but our guide did the best job getting us around the tour and yet leading us to a warm place from time to time. He was so interesting that we all forgot about the cold. We both would highly recommend this tour and plan to take others the next time we visit.

Very Fun Day!

The Greenwich Village Food Tour was a highlight of my 5 days in New York City. It was not only very interesting to learn some of the culture of Greenwich Village but it was so fun to taste many different foods. I liked everything . . . from the cheese AND cannoli's at Murray's to the pizza at Joe's to the pasta dish at Centro's to the chocolate chip cookies at Milk and Cookies! Our tour guide, Michael, was fun, informative, and enthusiatic, too, which topped off the event!

Very good tour. We learned a lot of history of the Central Village and SoHo. We also sampled 7 restaurants and looked at a number of others. The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. The one negative was the time of year and the weather that day - cold and snowy, Sat., 1/10. I was very uncomfortably cold and a good deal of the talk was outside and standing still. The guide was not very cognizant of the fact that we were all quite cold and continued to talk at length outside. Maybe that could be avoided in the future. But other than the fact that I should have waited until April to do the tour, it was very worthwhile and a great value. Thanks.

Hidden Gems in my city

I just moved to Greenwich 6 months ago and have walked all over the area but until this tour, I didn't enter several of the stores or learn about the history and culture of the area in which I live. It was so much fun to get a better sense of my neighborhood and feel a connection to the local family run businesses. The food we tried was delicious and the guide was very knowledgable and fun. I discovered places that I didn't know existed and I will be sure to visit them again shortly! I highly recommend this tour to locals as well as tourists. It's the least "touristy" tour I've ever done in any city. Great time!

Enjoy the visit. It is a little difficult to remember all the restaurants we visited. Maybe there is a way to help us remember the location and the special foods we tasted. Overall, I enjoyed the tour.

I attended the tour at 12:00 p.m. on 12/29. Delightful tour guide, very inflormational and friendly. Enjoyed all of the samples, with the exception of the thimble swallow of tea at one our stops. Wish that stop had been either replaced with another shop or perhaps given the opportunity to sample something else. There were a ton of other items to sample- chutney, etc. Felt a little disappointed with that stop. Other than that, a very enjoyable afternoon. I would certainly consider taking another tour, especially if I had more information about the shops for that particular tour. From the information I recieved on the internet, the spice shop wasn't one of the scheduled stops. I am aware that from time to time, for whatever reasons, shop changes occur. Happy New Year!

The history/facts aspect of the tour was beneficial and interesting. For a foodie, I was rather disappointed with the food diversity. I expected more variety per sitting.

What could be better than eating your way through the West Village? Our guide was knowledgeable and provided fun tidbits on the neighborhood ... and tips on how to explore the eateries on you own.

Without a doubt one of the highlights of my trip to New York. Our tour guide was excellent, a great mix of food, culture and history with a very useful guide for future reference. Will definitely be heading back to Greenwich Village to explore further thanks to this tour. Very highly recommended!!

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the above tour and I have told many of my friends and co-workers that they must take one of your tours when they come to New York.. I enjoyed learning about the area, tasting some of the great food offerings, gettting acquainted with this area of New York and being guided and entertained by Kurt. The next time I return to New York I would arrange to take another of your tours (and even the same one again) and I would ask for Kurt ! ( I am not sure about the spelling of his name but he was from Vancouver and was just great ). Thank you for putting together such an enjoyable tour. I included so many activities during my stay in the city but this was definitely a highlight!

I learned a lot about the food and culture in Greenwich Village. It was a tour off the beaten path and highly recommended to anyone who wants to step outside the big tourist activities. Lots of great food, along with a great tour guide, who was very familiar with the area. A bit pricey, but worth it for a 3 hour tour!
