This tour was recommended to us by a friend here in our town. It turned out to be everything she described and more! Michael was our tour guide and he was beyond fantastic! He knows the history of Greenwich Village- wonderful story teller! We loved this tour and we will definitely do another one next time we are in New York! If you are not sure about what tour to take in the city- do yourself a favor and take this one! It was awesome! The food, the stories, the history! You will NOT be disappointed! Thank you!

We generally travel independently, however your group was recommended by previous customers of yours. We thoroughly enjoyed Kurt who was very intelligent, funny and a good guide, giving us information in a style which made the information memorable. We will recommend this tour to anyone we know who will be visiting NYC.

This was the best money I spent on my vacation to NYC! What fun!! The tour was very informative and the food was delicious. You don't feel like a tourist as you wind your way through the beautiful streets of Grenwich Villiage. I felt like a local after the tour!

Excellent experience!

Michael was our tour guide and he was awesome! He was quite familiar with the history and the people in Greenwich village and it made the experience as if we were part of a community. However, returning to this village the next day, there were a mixture of places where I was treated as an outsider versus places where I was treated as a member. It was quite strange. I looked up menupages for reviews of the recommended restaurants in our program and some places had horrific reviews with regards to customer service. Although, I love the idea that lives have been changed to keep Greenwich village a community of small businesses, I can't help wonder if these places are any different from the moguls they try to keep out of their community. I don't believe that being a novice deserve the snobbery that many of the places in this town expressed.I realize that my criticism is aimed at the village, but perhaps the tour could have been less Disney and more realistic. Nevertheless, I had an enjoyable time otherwise I wouldn't have re-visited. Thank you for having this!

Loved this experience. Our guide was very informative regarding the shops and restaurants we visited as well as the local history. It was a great way to see the neighborhood and sample some excellent cuisine. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something unique and intersting to do in NYC.

Tour guide gave us a lot of great information about the restaurants, neighboorhoods, history, etc. but the food was not what you would expect for a food tour.

Heather was our tour guide and I think she did a great job. She was knowledgable and had a very positive and upbeat personality. I was born and raised in New York and I think about 95% of what she told us was all news to me. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the history behind the area and sampling all of the fun delicious restaturants in the Village. I left the tour feeling full from the food, but happy that we were walking. We spent the remainder of the day shopping in the area and trying out some of the suggested spots. I plan on getting this as a gift to my parents for their anniversary. I definitely want to do a tour of another area and plan on dining in the village more often. Excellent experience!

One of the best parts of our trip to NYC!!

I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting NYC! We had a great time. There was fantastic food and an informative history lesson. Our tour guide, Cindy, we terrific. She was extremely knowledgeable and was a ton of fun. I learned more about New York in that three hours than our whole week there. Now that we are home, watching the food network is a totally different experience. We also saw the cheese store, Murrays, on the Today show this past Saturday! A++++ for this tour. When we visit again we will take another tour. Thanks so much Rachel Ray for the recommendation ;)

The tour guide was organized, knowledgeable and respectful of the local residents on the tour. The tour was well paced with a mixture of both historical facts, stories, information about the individual businesses and foods provided. The size of the group was perfect as it retained an intimate quality appropriate for the area. It was a highlight of my first trip to Manhattan and I have already recommended it to many fellow tourists.

My Favourite Tour
Mon, Oct 15, 07   11:30 AM tstc28 Female 30-39 International Tourist(s) Individual
From the minute she gathered our group together and gave us our agenda, napkins and water bottles, our tour guide, Cindy, had us captivated. Her sense of humour and personality were worth the price of admission. The tour itself was well-paced. It felt relaxed, yet we were able to see, do, and eat a lot. The business owners were very welcoming and the food was incredible. I will never forget my experience on this tour, it was absolutely great.

An "Insider's" Guide
Sat, Aug 11, 07   12:00 PM tssfred Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
My wife and I enjoyed the 3 hour tour very much. You may even call it an intimate tour in that it emphasized small family owned places that you would never find on your own. That together with the history of the area made it very worthwile. The "tastings" involved more food than expected and we were able to skip both lunch and dinner. I would recommend it to others.
