Had a great time on this tour. Learned about the area, loved the samples of food. Kurt, our guide, was fabulous. Wonderfully enthusiastic, knowledgeable, fun. The other people on the tour were friendly and warm. The weather was perfect. Looking forward to another tour before the weather gets too cold.

The young man leading us was very knowlegeable about Japanese food and customs. The food was delicious and so was the saki! I would visit this particular restaurant again and possibly participant in another event in the future! Thank you for a great night.
Non-touristy unique local insight Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Tour

The tour guide, a local man, had excellent knowledge of the area and its history and was very familiar with the locals, who chatted to us openly and didn't treat us like a 'tour group'. The food tasting was excellent, and the guide ensured that everything we tried was very fresh and requested our feedback regularly. I was very full by the end of the tour. It was such a shame that we did this on our last day and didn't have a chance to try out any of the recommended restaurants (for which we received money-off vouchers and offers). The only problem is that there can be a fair amount of standing about while listening to the stories and sampling the food items and this can be quite tiring (and straining on the back!) I'm definately going to look out for something like this on every trip I take now.

I was hesitant about going on a tour particularly because I spend two-thirds of my life working in the city. Nonetheless, it was well worth it! My wife and I were tired of the mundane outings, so we decided to take our friends advice and give it a try. Forget about all those preconceived notions about "tours." This is far more than just a tour! It will change your whole view of Manhanttan

This tour was informative and entertaining; an absolute delight! The tour guide was animate and friendly, just excellent: Cindy provided the history of the food, shops and locations, as well as achitectural facts and references to TV/film sites and local celebrities. The samples of food catered for all tastes and dietary requirements while the walk provided enough rest stops for everyone.

We all enjoyed the Chelsea Market tour this past Saturday. It's too bad you can't incorporate a tour of the food shows that take place upstairs. We did know this was not included in the tour, but it would be fun to even see the studios. Also, we were nervous about the weather this past Satuday as the weatherman was calling for torrential rain and wind, and your organization was very accomodating to us, even offering a different day. As it turned out, it did rain heavy in the morning, but the sun was shining by the end of a very wonderful day and I am so glad we went.

We really enjoyed the tour. This is a great way to see up close areas that we would normally pass by as a part of a bus tour. We actually came back for Dinner at one of the restaurants and had a wonderful time. We are planning to come back next year and do the Meat Packing Tour. My only recommendation would be to expand to more areas of town.

Our tour guide was Mike (don't remember his last name) and he was great! Very enthusiatic and informative. My friends and I thought there would be more food but was still delighted with the stories and the tour. Greenwich village has great history and culture that I never knew about and taking the tour gave us a great new perspective. Thanks!

We thought the premise of the tour was great - we are foodies and were excited about exploring the food of Greenwich village. However, we were GREATLY DISAPPOINTED that the tour guide seemed to cater exclusively to one family - in particular - the young children of one family - in our large group. We were rushed to different locations if the kids were bored or cold, the guide answered all the kids questions (which were rudely yelled over the other questions of paying patrons on the tour) and the kids were allowed to run wild and dictate most of the tour. You might consider in future having "family" tours versus "adult-only" groups. The tour was good - we enjoyed the food. There was a bit more "historical" commentary than we had anticipated, although we enjoyed it but likely would have prefered more food. It also might have been nice to have smaller groups so we could actually be allowed to go into some of the establishments and look around (most often we had to wait on the street while the guide - with the kids - went inside the shops to fetch our food).
