I loved this tour, it was so fun. The food was definitely enough for lunch - I was stuffed. The guide was knowledgable and enthusiastic even though maybe a little fake enthusiastic at times, but what do we tourists expect that they really get this excited about a tour they probably do all the time? It introduced me to places I could go back to and eat again in the future and my friends would be amazed, like how did you find this place? |

Had a great time on the food tour of Greenwich Village. The guide was really good fun and she had us all joining in. Food we sampled was excellent and the history of the places we visited was really interesting. I would recommend this tour to anyone. I would definitely book another food tour if I return to New York. |

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this food/walking tour. She had already done one of their other tours and since I wanted to walk the Highline this tour fit in perfectly. Our guide Cindy was thoroughly entertaining: informative, funny, and also very thoughtful (she made sure to get the people in our group who had afternoon theatre tickets off in time and arranged to have a cab for them). The history of the market building was fascinating (old Nabisco factory) and the food tastings were varied and more than enough to fill you up over the span of the 3 hours. The lobster bisque at the seafood store was amazing as were the buttermilk biscuits with jam from Sara Beth's. There was a local New Yorker on our tour and she said she learned a lot that she didn't know before. I would highly recommend this tour. |

This was my second food tasting tour and I did not think it could beat the first one, but it did.
I have been to NY many times yearly since I have lived in NJ my whole life but knew nothing of this neighborhood.
It was so interesting to learn the history of the market and the meat packing district. The other wonderful part of the tour, of course, was the food; and there was PLENTY of it. From desserts to pasta everything we tasted was delicious. Our tour guide Diana was so enthusiastic and made the day so much fun. Can't wait to try a third tour!! |

In the past, I found visiting the Chelsea Market a bit overwhelming, but the tour was a great way to experience some of the best that the market has to offer. I also loved learning about the history of the building and the area! Overall, the tour was a great and unique way to spend the afternoon in the city! |

My wife and I were in NYC for 4 days celebrating our anniversary. Our son reccomended the food tour as he and his girlfriend had done it in May. It was well worh the price. It was not only the food, which was great to get to sample, but the tour guide gave a good history of the area including notable buildings and locations. We ended up going back to Greenwich Villiage for dinner the next night based on her recommendations. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone. |

First of all, I wanted to say we visited a total of 8 places while in the ad you only listed 6. I would suggest to change the ad. Secondly, nearly 1.5 hours walking did kill your feet. We had food in the first 45 mins in 3 places and last 45 mins in 4. I would suggest to make a slightly adjustment for the walking route. Since we left around lunch hour, so it's better we can have more food before we head to a 1.5 hours walking tour.
Overall, our tour guide Dianna is a very pleasant person. As for the food, the first sandwish in Focacceria Italian Eatery was not too impressive. Masala Times (Indian Street Food) made me feel happy and look forward for our next taste. Unfortunately the noodle in the Monte's Homestyle Italian Restaurant disappointed me again. It's a shame althought this restaurant might have a wonderful history but If they can't showcase their food well, visitors will not go back. I like the atmosphere of Cuba Restaurant. Their food was not bad I liked the yuka especially. But again, did those food really showcast Cuban culture? I really don't think so. We also need more time so we could finish the drink we ordered here. The smoke mozzarella and sundried tomata in Joe's Dairy/Cheese Shop was memorable. Although we didn't get a change to get inside. Chocolate pear tart in Once Upon a Tart Bakery/Cafe was just okay. So overall, food experience I will only give a 3.5, considering the money we spent was mainly for that. However the highlight for the day were the sandwich in Masala Times and smoke mozzarella/sundried tomato in Joe's Dairy/Cheese Shop, I will give them both a 5. To rate this food and cultural tour, I will give it a 4. Lastly, I also wanted to add the after tour survey was a great tool. It will help those restautants to change their menus so they can grow their business better...... |
