| Our tour guide was lively and very knowledgeable about Greenwich Village and the history of NYC. Cindy stayed on time and was very aware of the weather and how best to keep us in a warm sunny spot whenever she could. The food was great. Our favorite part of the tour was the visit to Chumleys! | ||||||

| We had a great time on this tour. Not only was the food tasting wonderful, but the guide was such an interesting guy. We were fascinated by the history of Greenwich Village and definitely plan to go back there in the near future. I would fully recommend this tour, but make sure you're wearing comfortable shoes, as it's at least 3 hours of walking. :o) | ||||||

| The featured venues were well chosen and the food samples were generous and delicious. Even though it was a food tour, we learned a fair amount about the geography and history of Greenwich Village. I have a few good ideas now for a fun night out in this area. | ||||||

| Tour and tour guide were excellent. Think of the "tour" as a combination of food tasting and history of the district. Good variety and portions of food. A very nice and different thing to do in the city. | ||||||

| The guide was informative both of the history of the surrounding area and the attractions. He kept us moving at a steady but not to fast pace. The food was great and we discovered a lot of new restuarants and shops to visit in the future. Many of my co-workers and friends were surprised and the reasonable cost and the small group. I came back with rave reviews of the experience and will definitely try the other tours! | ||||||

| Our tour guide Kurt was the best tour guide my friends and I have ever been on a tour with. He was so funny and informative and very helpful to everyone. Even getting us a cab when the tour was finished. We learned so much about NY and the people of the area. I would truly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to have a fun three hours and learn so much about NY. | ||||||

| This is my first tour of this kind and we didn't know what to expect. It was wonderful. The guide was great, so bubbly and energetic. She showed us places I would have never thought to go, these little mom and pop places that have been in the area for years. I would definitely do a another one, and I would definitely go back on my own to these sites! | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed our Food Tour of Greenwich Village. Our guide, Mike(?) was extremely informative, very entertaining and generous with his time. The foods were all good, and the social history of the area was really enlightening. We would recommend this tour to anyone we know who visits New York. We found the Speakeasy particularly interesting! | ||||||

| I had such great time on this tour! I was so happy to be acquainted with the non-mainstream New York! I have a list of places to go to dinner as well as a whole new area to explore! | ||||||

Greenwich Village Tour Was Much Better

| A few years ago I took the Greenwich Village tour and I was somewhat disappointed with this one. The food choices were not as varied - we ate a lot of bread. And when we sat down for a "feast," having lemonade (I think it was blueberry) was the absolute wrong choice to mix with olives, salami, cheese and marinated eggplant - the whole thing gave me heart burn!! On the Greenwich tour I remember eating from an Italian deli, bakery, chocolate place, pizzeria (which was absolutely delicious!!) and a Middle Eastern place. The choices on the Chelsea tour were flat and without the same quality. The Greenwich tour was a few years ago (probably 3) and I still remember the food and our wonderful tourguide (Zora). I doubt I'll have the same recollection of this tour 3 years later. The tour in the meat packing district itself was skimpy and with no food. We stopped in the new restaurant, Nero's, and it would have been more interesting if we could sample food there or at some other restaurant outside of Chelsea Market. Any thought to doing a wine tasting either in Chelsea Market at the wine place or one of the restaurants?? Don't know if there are legal issues but thought it might be worth looking in to. Overall, I think the concept of a Chelsea/MPD tour is good but the specifics need to be reevaluated. I would not recommend this tour to friends. I have recommended the Greenwich tour without reservation. | ||||||

| This tour was fantastic, it was a xmas present for my husband and he loved it. It was so informative and really fun. The food was great and I still can't believe it was only 80$ for the 2 of us....SO worth it. | ||||||

Appreciate the history and the present

| The tour was given by a local who has lived in Greenwhich for 40 years. Walking the streets with him we not only recieved much history and insight into how the Villiage has become what it is today, but along the way passed locals known to our tour guide who stopped for a chat and also provided us with insights into their experiences. I've lived in Manhatten for a year and visit the Villiage regularly, however I now know a number of great places to go for fine dinning, drinking or shopping for delicacies rarely found elsewhere. | ||||||

| I am a Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management student at Southwest Minnesota State University through a joint program with the University of Minnesota- Crookston. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who would like to go. I went into this tour thinking that I hope it's worth the $40 I spent on it, but it went above and beyond my expectations. It was so interesting trying all the different foods, and learning about all the history in the area. This was definitely my favorite part of my trip to New York, and it's a must see event so be sure not to miss it! | ||||||
