This is a must!!! What a great way to taste your way around Greenwich Village. The food was fabulous & Sephra, our tour guide, was the best. This is one of our favorite things we did while in New York City.

A GREAT tour. You won't want to miss out on it!

I can't say enough good things about this tour. Our guide was very personable and very knowledgeable and he shared a lot of the history of the area with us along the way. There was a great variety of different types of food to sample, from Indian, to Cuban, to Italian, to pastries, to cheese and sausage, to (my personal favorite) genuine New York cheesecake. This is a great way to learn some of the history of New York, as well as a great way to discover some additional restaurants that you might want to try on your own in addition to the restaurants on the tour and it's a great way to get to try things that you might never have tried otherwise. Plus, you get to see a lot of interesting sites along the way. I can't wait to go back to New York again next year and take another one of these tours. I highly recommend this! It's well worth the money and the time.

we met our tour guide who was from the area and knew a lot about the city and it's history - also lots of information about the green movement in New York, very cool. Ok the food. we started with a bakery which had these amazing cookies with lots of goodies in them. we spent a large portion of the time in this cute, very historic mall/food court, which was once formerly a meat packing company. we sample lots of yumming food. love the cheese and crackers at the specialty shop. the last place to eat was this old italian restuarant with a lot of history and wonderfully made home pasta. overall, I would recommend the tour if you really want to experience chelsea.

Wow, we had a blast. Our tour leader Curt was so informative and funny which made the whole tour even better. The samples of food were different and fun. I was never bored, and always entertained. I feel like I know the Chelsea area and history much better, and I will go back. Because of the tour we had an incredible dinner at Del Posto which I would also recommend. I can't wait to go back for another food tour. Gal from Atlanta.

It wasn´t our first time to Meatpackers District but still the tour was really great! Our tour guide Curt did a very good job in explaining things and telling the history of restaurants to we can really recommend this tour to people who are interested in getting to know the background of restaurants. Last but not least-the food was great and always enough for everyone :-).

An Excellent Introduction to the Village
Thu, Oct 1  11:30 AM FrancesPass Female 70+ Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Our guide was excellent; knowledgeable about the history, architecture, culture and restaurants within the Village. The food samplings were tasty and gave us a good idea of restaurants we will definitely want to revisit on our own. Getting to the Starting Point via subway was easy from anywhere within the City. We will probably sign up for similar tours by this organization in other districts within the City.

Fun for Foodies in Greenwich Village
Thu, Oct 1  11:00 AM jdamdon Male 70+ Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
Being new visitors to New York City, we wanted a tour that put us on the street to sample the foods of Greenwich Village and get a 'feel' for the area. This tour more than met our expectations. Directions to the meeting point where clear and the guide, a local girl, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We covered several blocks on foot for the culture and history of the area while sampling a variety of local fare, each stop a fun taste treat. That evening we returned to Cornelia Street for dinner at Le Gigot, one of the guide's recommended restaurants. We were delighted with the choice. Two thumbs up for all of it!
