| As a first time visitor to New York we were glad that a friend had recommended these food and culture tours. We did book online before our trip and would recommend doing so as we just managed to secure the last 4 places. We chose the Greenwich Village area as we were very much into Bob Dylan who lived there during our early teen years in the sixties. The food samples in various cuisines were all delicious and we did make a reservation for an evening meal at one of the Italian restaurants albeit we were staying in a hotel off Times Square. The tour also included visiting the Cafe Wha nightclub, it was a surreal moment for us as it appeared that nothing had changed there since the sixties. We also visited the club on the evening after dining at the restaurant nearby. We thought the resident band on the Sunday evening were brilliant and it was such a good atmosphere. | ||||||

| A group of friends and I took the tour of Greenwich on Friday 18th September and really enjoyed it. Our guide, Marie obviously knew the area and all the local characters very well and told us all about the history behind some of the area's best restaurants and eateries. If you are visiting New York I would recommend you do this tour early in your visit as you will definitely want to go back to some of the places you learn about. The tastings were lovely too, with plenty for the veggie's too! | ||||||

| The Greenwich Village tour offered a wealth of information about this neighbourhood along with some delicious tastings. The tour was extremely concentrated in a small section of the Village, and we would have liked to travel a bit farther - it seems that standing still is more difficult than walking! While we thoroughly enjoyed the tastings from the various restaurants and proprietors on the tour, we would have appreciated being able to wander through more of the establishments for a greater appreciation of the wide variety of products some of the shops offer. Having said this, we feel well armed to return to Greenwich Village to further explore some of the restaurants we were introduced to. Thanks to our awesome tour guide for her expertise and enthusiasm! | ||||||

| I have been to NY two years in a row and both times I started my trip off with a Foods of NY tour (last year Greenwich Village and this year Central Village & SOHO). I firmly believe that these tours set the most perfect atmosphere for your trip. I came away from the tour with getting a really good "feel" of the area that we visited... seeing clubs that influential musicians began in... seeing where multi-generational businesses have been making food for years... tasting food that is just awesome... and being taken care of... I just cannot explain it... I want to move to Greenwich Village after these tours and eat in these restaurants and go to these clubs - have them become a part of my life. Rahim was our tour guide on this trip and he was fantastic. His knowledge of music, history, food and the neighbourhood was exceptional! Thank you for providing this tour. I loved it. | ||||||

| This is our 2nd food tour--we did the Greenwich Village last year--and we thoroughly enjoyed both. I worried that going on 2 would be too much of the same thing, but they were quite different. Our adult daughter who lives in the area was with us and enjoyed them also. Curt was our guide this year and he was superb (and a hoot!). | ||||||

| This tour was one of the best tourist experiences I've ever had (and I've had a lot!) What made it so successful was a well-planned scope and a guide who was spot-on. Add the AMAZING and copious food and I'm still shocked the ticket was under $50! What a value! The tour was just the right length of time, walking distance and depth of information to be enjoyable without feeling overloaded. The guide made a special point to engage the attendees and balanced his obvious passion for food with his well-rounded experience in various aspects of the restaurant business. He never sounded rehearsed, making our group feel as though we were getting a tour customized especially for us. The tour left plenty of time to return to any of the stops along the way to make purchases or see more. And the food. Nothing I could write would do justice to the array of samplings we were treated to. All I can say is - come hungry!! You won't be dissappointed! | ||||||

| I have had an especially good time. Our tourguide obviously enjoyed entertaining us. All of our group were thrilled by his enthusiasm in regard to the history and food of the Chelsea Market / Meatpacking District. I learned a lot, was very well feeded and entertained. I believe without taking this tour I would never have known any of the historical and culinary wonders of the Meatpacking District. Next time in New York, I will undoubtly take a Food Tasting Tour with Foods of New York again. | ||||||

| Sephrah was our tour guide and she was very enthusiastic about giving us a great tour. She explained everything in great detail and answered all our questions. She had an excellent relationship with all the businesses we entered. The food we tried was excellent. We even entered several establishments that were closed just to see the inside and hear about stories or architectural oddities! Walking through the neighborhood gave, for me, a more intimate look into the lives of people who actually live in Manhattan. There were even several New Yorkers on the tour just wanting to learn about new restaurants! I can't express sufficiently how thrilled I was with this tour. I am looking forward to my next trip so I can make some reservations for many excellent meals!!! Bravo Sephrah, thanks for the amazing day! | ||||||

| Strongly encourage everyone to take this tour, it was the best three hours filled with lovely strolling and yummy treats to eat. The Village is beauitful and we experienced a part of it's charm that on our own we would not have. We even had a celebrity siting - Woopy Goldberg @ Murray's cheese shop!!! My daughter & son-in-law are taking the same tour next month on their visit to NYC. Luv, luv, luved it!!!!! | ||||||

| Party of four Australians recently took this tour and thoroughly enjoyed the morning. Our guide was Billie who was most informative about the history of the area and the different cultures that make up Greenwich. The tastings were well planned and after 8 tastings in all over a 3 hour period we certainly didn't need any more food . Billie pointed out various eating places for our return to this area which we simply can't wait to revisit. This tour was recommended to us by a previous Australian visitor and we were certainly thrilled with our experience. Would only say to anyone planning this tour - don't eat before your tour begins!!! | ||||||
