The tour was 3 hours long and there was plenty to eat/taste, although the tour did not go too far you did find out the history of the area which I found very interesting, Good value for money, shame we had to fly back home to England the same day :( |

We were fortunate to get a rain free day with an enthusiastic tour guide. All 6 of our group enjoyed it. We were aged 23 to 79. The tasty treats from the various retailers was great! History of area was invaluable. |

I took my sisters and daughter (18yrs) on the tour after I went with girlfriends last year. It was fabulous even the second time around. The food was slightly different from the first and I learned even more new things. We had a great time. |

I have taken 3 food tours in total in nyc. The first was with your company (the chelsea market tour) and I had a wonderful time. The 2nd was a different company and we had fun but it was not nearly as good, so the 3rd time we decided we would definitely go with foods of NY again. I went with my sister and my mother. Our tour guide was Bert. He was a great tour guide. He knew his food, as well as many interesting facts about the area. He had an outgoing and friendly personality. My sister is allergic to gluton, so she had put that she needed gluton free food when we first got the tickets. Many things had to be substituted for her, but she enjoyed it as much as the rest of us did. The places we went were little places that I probably would have never known if I hadn't taken this tour, but now I will make sure to go back to. I think that these tours are a fun and different thing to do on a nice sunday afternoon. I am a hairstylist from NJ (only about 20 minutes from the city) and I have already recommended your tours to many of my clients, as well as my friends. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and I also walked away feeling very full from all of the tastings. I will definitely look into taking more of these tours in the future. |

Overall the food tour of the meatpacking district was fantastic! There were many places within the market that we would have never thought to go, and as always with these tours, the food was great! It was also really interesting to learn the history of the area and the market. An area we probably wouldn't have toured much on our own. Only downside was that there was a lot of food in the beginning within the market, and then a big lull in food up until the end. Overall, great tour! |

This was my second tour with your group. Last Sept. We took our grand-daughter on the SoHo-Greenwich Village tour. This trip was with my grown daughter. She is a 'foodie' and really enjoyed the whole event. Diane was our guide..really a Fun lady to spend time with. Interesting facts about the Chelsea Mkt and Meat-packing Dist., surprise we also got to see a little of the High line. Good Trip, Thanks |

We decided to take a food tour with "NY Food Tour" company and had a bast! We choose the Chelsea market tour and were blown away with great food and very informative information about the area and the market. We got to sample; cupcakes, chocolate milk, clam chowder, italian cheeses and meats, biscuits and jam, english cheese and crackers and to top it off, the freshest and homemade pasta from Macelleria. Our guide "Diana" was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, we learned so much about the market and the meat packing area in such a short time. The highlight was the homemade pasta from Macelleria, so good in fact that we went back the following day and had a repeat! This tour was a great way to sample your way through the market which is also the home of the Food Network, and we even got to see one of the judges on chopped, Alex Guarnaschelli on her day off. We would highly recommend this tour, and we look forward to "sampling" other tours with this company. |

A friend and I decided to take the tour as we had been on the West Village tour back in the fall and loved it. We were not disappointed! That was due in large part to our guide - Darryl. He was the best! He took excellent care of us and meeting him felt like being with an old friend. The tastings were perfect. Just the right amount of food and variety. It gave us a really good flavor (pun intended) for the Market and the MP District. We loved getting the history behind each of the establishments and especially the history behind the market building itself. He knew so much about the city - especially for a transplant from Texas! The tour was 3 hours and it flew by - - we could have used another 3 hours! After the tour, we went back to the market to buy some of the products we'd tried and learned about. I've been telling all my friends and have given out the website numerous times already. I would do another tour through NY Food Tours in a heartbeat - - and will definitely come back with other friends to do the Chelsea Market/MP District tour again - - hopefully with Darryl! Thanks! |

We thought our guide was very well informed, her voice projected well [which was important because there is a lot of background noise], and enthusiastic. We got a real sense of the West Village scene, history, culture and food. The venues were fun to visit and the provided food was varied and delicious. We all felt it was time well spent and a reasonable value. I think the narrative would be a little too long and detailed for young children. |
