We enjoyed the tour and we learned insights about Greenwich Village we did not know. Not only did we enjoy test tasting at the different stops, we also enjoyed learning about the history of Greenwhich Village. We went the first day we arrived on our trip and went back several times to visit different restaurants that we learned about on our tour. We had an exceptional tour guide that had great knowledge, fun to be around and very entertaining. |

Kurt was our guide , and an excellent guide he was too , funny , informative and obviously enjoyed his job , plenty on anecdotes pertinant to the tour and plenty of variety in the shops and restaurants we visited ..... And he fielded any questions , about the tour , NYC , Martha Stewart , anything .......... On our first day in America it got us up and moving and right into the groove , if you are reading this , jump on , we felt tuned into NYC instantly with this little adventure and are very glad we booked it , Tony and Julie from Leeds , UK . |

Excellent, informative tour and some great food samplings. The red velvet cupcake from Eleni's Bakery and the pasta dish from Macelleria were scrumptious. Kurt, our guide, was knowledgeable, entertaining and unbelievable with names! |

The tastings were more than adequate, and encouraged us to return to the area to eat..We returned to Le Gigot for their famous crab cakes . |

It was a great tour. The guide was knowledgeable and fun to spend time with. I learned a lot about the history and buildings of the area. There was a lot more food than I was expecting but I managed to try it all. |

The food tour was everything I thought it would be and more. Not only did we taste some amazing food (which I plan to eat again via shipping methods), but we also learned about the history, transformation, and culture of the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District. I would highly recommend this tour. |

Our tour guide Heather kept us well informed of our surroundings with enthusiastic
offerings of great food, area history and present day facts during this well-paced walking tour. It was great to get some insight on this area that we only explored on our own previously. We live in Connecticut and enjoy coming to New York to explore. This is our fourth tour with this company and all were a great experience. Keep up the great work!!!

I have been on food tours in a lot of other cities including San Francisco, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago, etc. This food tour in Greenwich Village/NYC was not only more expensive than the other food tours, but I was completely surprised that most of the time spent was on the history of the city with a piece of salami or bread thrown in from time to time. There is NO WAY you could have considered "being so full from the tour you will not need lunch." After almost all of the stops made for "food" tastings, again just bread and salami with a quarter slice of pizza, my husband and I left the tour to go get some food as we were so dissappointed and heard that there was not much left to the tour except for more city history and a cookie. VERY dissappointed. I had already planned a full city tour for the next day so did not care about hours worth of data about the Village, just wanted to try some great restaurants. They also mentioned the best pizza in town was John's Pizza yet they did not take us there! Not happy, not recommended! |

Guide was really good. Knowledgeable about food and neighborhood. Punctual.
Cookie place was not that great. I would get rid of that stop. Cookies tasted like weird oatmeal chocolate chip. My fiancee felt same way.
Everything else was good. |

Nobody could fail to be satisfied with the superb quality, quantity and variety of food and liquid sustenance on offer on this tour, which I took at the end of May 2011, on my last day in the city at the end of a short break. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and brought the whole experience to life, with information on the history of Chinese settlement in New York, the development of Chinatown to what it is today and his own personal experiences of the area. He pointed out various venues to explore after the tour - from bars to restaurants to shops - in addition to those we actually enjoyed along the way. I have made careful note of the places we visited and the menu recommendations for my next visit and have no hesitation in recommending the tour most highly to future visitors. Also represents great value for money. |
