8 girls, 1 action packed visit to NYC, and out of the 30 things I had planned (up rockafella, grand central etc etc etc) this was by far the best activity we did. Total bargain for the price, and the food and experience. You will not be disappointed. Really intersting without feeling like your on a school trip, loads of anecdotes and great great food. Cindy our guide was hillarious, knowledgeable and just so lovely. Coud not recommend this tour anymore. Book it !

Kids aged 22, 20 and 18 thought this was a highlight of NYC visit. It was a calming respite in a busy tourist visit for me as their parent.

This walking tour was recommended to me by a friend, and I'm so glad we did it. We explored parts of Greenwich Village that we would otherwise not have found - the level of detail and information provided by the tour guide was just right and gave us historical insight into the area that we simply would not have known about if we had explored by ourselves. The tastings were incredible and were plenty to fill us up. It's also encouraging that (we were told) the cafes do not pay to be on the tour, meaning they are chosen for their quality. This was a highlight of our trip to New York and we would definitely do another tour in a different area on a return visit. Thanks!

Our tour guide Annie was enthusiastic and friendly. She really knows her stuff and how to communicate it! The food was delicious and the portions generous. We had a really great time and it was an excellent way for us as first time visitors to NYC to get to know a neighbourhood. We ended up returning to the area a couple of days later to eat at one of the places Annie pointed out on our walk.

Thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour. Tour guide was excellent and made the history of Greenwich village as interesting as the food.Would wholeheartedly recommend

Our group of two moms and three twenty something daughters who all love cooking and food took the Greenwich Village Food Tour with Burt on Easter weekend. Enjoyed every minute of it.....worth every penny. Loved all the info Burt shared with us...food, food shops, history, architecture, restaurants, directions before we left him and all delivered with great humor and such interest. I have been to the Village many times but learned so much and saw areas that I have never been before. Every stop had delicious treats to enjoy. Do not eat lunch before!! We had one gluten free daughter and two vegetarians and Burt and the Food Tour company went out of their way to provide substitutions....especially for gluten free!! My daughter was so happy to be able to enjoy such great treats.....delicious fresh mozzarella, gelato and artichoke salad. Next time we are definitely doing another tour.....if not more and hopefully with Burt!! Thanks, Burt, for a great experience!!

Informative, fun, delicious you will have fun and be amazed at the great tasting food

I heard about this tour from a friend so decided that it would be a great introduction to an area of New York City for my very first trip to the area. What I got from the tour was much more that I could have hoped with a great area, wonderful vendors, a reasonable price, and a tour guide who was second to none, Bert. The Village is charming, beautiful, and rife with a history unlike any other area I have seen. The food was delicious, the tour guide was enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable/organized/attentive/funny, and obviously loved his job! These factors made all the difference for me. When I went out exploring on my own on subsequent days, I felt that there was something lacking. Upon reflection, what was missing was an experience such as this. It is certainly not to be missed so do yourself a favour and sign up! I will do this again and will book well in advance. Thank you, Bert!

Very good food and very interesting to know details about the neighbourhood!

We were reccomended the tour by family member. We found the tour went to a variety of places and provided us with history as well as insight to where the locals visit and live. The only negative is we found lots of the samples included cheese or were cheese... We love cheese but it was a little overloaded and would have been nice to provide variety inthe samples. Overall great tour and we are glad we went on it!

myself and a friend came on the greenwich village tour, after a friend recommended it. we had a great time, and it was very worthwhile doing, not only to sample some great food but to listen to the guides' (Kurt) extensive knowledge on food and the general area.

Bert was a brilliant and entertaining guide. We learned lots about Greenwich, tasted lots of lovely food and had lots of fun. We enjoyed the company of the other people on the tour - from all over the world. The tour helped to settle us into to life in New York and what to do/expect. We returned to eat at the Scali Caffe a couple of evenings later and had a fabulous meal I would highly recommend this tour to any one of my friends who visist NYC thank you

Fantastic tour, our guide (Marie) was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about both the food and the neighbourhood. Go hungry as you are given generous sized portions and plenty of them!! A great way to view an area of New York!
