Went to NYC with a friend. First time for me but my friend was there many times previoulsy. She never took the tour in the past so it was a first for both of us. Our guide was Bert. He was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, personable, and seemed to enjoy what he was doing. The food was great! We were stuffed by the time we completed the tour. I would recommend this to everyone. We were not rushed as some tours can be. The employees at the establishments we visited were all very pleasant. Well worth the money. |

Bob was our tour guide and he was just amazing. So knowledgeable on every aspect relating to the tour in addition to in-depth knowledge about New York City, generally. He was pleasant, smart, interactive and kept the whole group engaged. The tour was fabulous - food tastings delicious and the pace enjoyable. It was fun to be both inside and outside - highly recommend the Chelsea Market Food Tour to everyone. |

Having visited some years ago we returned with teenagers this time wanting to see another side of New York rather than just the iconic sites like the Statue of Liberty etc. I cannot speak highly enough of the whole experience of the Greenwich Food Tour. It was the best thing we did in NY for the 4 days we spent there. The guide, Marie, was entertaining, extremely friendly and knowledgeable and had a real passion for the area that shone through the whole time. Both my 16 yr son and 13yr daughter loved it too so its not just for older people. The food shops and restaurants we visited were all of an excellent standard and provided such good tasters that we went back at the end for another slice of pizza and more rice balls. I am already recommending it to friends and family in the UK and would certainly do another tour when we are next in the city.
Please don't change and become too big or commercial, its the friendliness and informal style that makes this so much fun. We also enjoyed mixing with Americans from other parts of the States who as always were great company and a brilliant advertisement for their home country! |

It's hard to get our kids to spend time with us on weekends, and even more difficult to get them to take a walking - historical - tour. This was an exception. The kids were happy to join us and had fun walking around the Village and trying new foods (even my picky eater tried some cauliflower). The little bits of history that were "snuck in" among the delicious food were just perfect. The portions were good sized and we left full. The places we went were very nice. Only complaint was there wasn't much attention to the overall menu - no protein at all and two stops in a row were both rice - rice balls followed by risotto. |

Everyone in our group enjoyed the tour of the Chelsea Market and meatpacking district. We were not aware of all that is available in this area, even though we are from Long Island, and consider ourselves locals. |

We have now done three tours, Greenwich Village, Chelsea Market and now Central Village/Soho, and of this one was one of the best. Come hungry as you will be tasting many varieties of food. Our tour guide, Raheed, was extremely knowledgeable with the area, including the food and the architecture. You will not be disappointed with this one. Enjoy!

My friends and I would never had made it to Chelsea Market without this tour. Be prepared to be on your feet for 3 hours. The tour guide was extremely knowledgable and friendly. All of the food was wonderful. Can you say "Red velvet cupcakes" - what a great way to start. |

This is the third tour my sister and I have taken. We took the other two tours because we loved the first one so much. On the second and third tour, we were accompanied by friends who loved the tours just as much as we did. The tour guides were terrific. They were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The guides gave us the history of the areas visited and information about the places we stopped for food. And the food was delicious. The tour guides also gave us information about the restaurants in the area. All in all, very interesting. We got to see areas of New York we might never have know about. |

Spent a wonderful morning on the Greenwich Village Walking Tour. The tour was led by Marie. She was great and you could tell she loved her job. She told us many stories that gave the history of the food, the characters that have lived in the area as well as the buildings. The selection of places to sample food gave us flavor of the village and everything was delicious! We returned to Home Restaurant a few nights later for dinner. Thanks to all of the establishments that participated in the tour. |

I have coordinated numerous small group tours for my friends over the last 5 years. Of all the food tours we've done, this was, by far, the most entertaining and enjoyable. The tour guide, Kurt, was clearly well-trained, knowledgeable and quick-witted. His humor and extensive knowledge, as well as the prosaic manner in which he described foods and their preparation, made him the best guide I have had the pleasure of being led by. In addition, the food choices were outstanding, as were the portions, variety, and taste.
Despite having done other tours of certain areas in NYC, we plan to do ALL of your tours going forward, and we wish we could have Kurt as our guide on all of them! |
