Foods of New York Tours

Marie was our guide. She was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and entertaining. The foods we tried were delicious. I would recommend this to my friends.

Our tourguide, Rahim was terrific. Clearly he loves New York and he loves to eat. His enthusiasm was what made this walking tour so much fun. We were a group of 6 people getting together for a long weekend and have very different likes from each other, but we all agreed that we liked this tour of Greenwich with all the tastings and the stories behind the locations. Thank you Rahim!!! When the tour ended we did go back to a couple of the locations to get some more food for later on that night.

Loved our walking food tour. As usual - it was memorable and entertaining - this is my second Foods of New York Tour - our last one in Sept 2010 on the Chelsea / Meat-packing district was great too. I liked this one cos there was more savoury food - but both were gems! A quick comment - our guide Lisa was clear in her articulation and passionate in what she does. But I would suggest that if groups are made up of people from outside the USA, perhaps references to American figures and celebrities can be prefaced with a brief explanation of who / what they are. Included in this Greenwich tour were some interesting historical bits and bobs - but much of this didn't mean very much to us simply because we were not familiar. My favourites in this tour - O&Co, Faicco's cheese balls, Amy's bread, Morello's cheese, the mushroom risotto we had, Joe's Pizza!! A special request to the boss of Food Tours - do consider introducing a few more itineraries ... we love NY and will be back in 2012, so look forward to more walks with you!

I was slightly nervous as I was travelling to New York on my own so booked this trip to do something interesting. Well.....I was not disappointed. The guide was fantastic, the food was even better (and I was stuffed full to the brim......and that is not always an easy task), everyone was in a happy mood and just had a whale of a time. Go, you will regret it if you dont. Marks out of 10........10.

Diana was our guide and she was delightful. Even New Yorkers would enjoy this tour. Totally one of the best things we did during the day!

We were thrilled that we started our trip with this tour. The history, culture food and ideas for an evening out help us decide more clearly what the rest of the trip would look like. Our guide, Barri was excellent and you could tell she enjoys what she does. I would recommend this tour to anyone...those new to New York and to New Yorkers that have limited knowledge and appreciation of any particular part of the city.

Whenever I come to New York I always schedule a food tour. I have been on all of them and on some of them more than once. They are a fabulous introduction to eating in New York and I highly recommend them. I would add, schedule your tour early in your visit so you can try out some of the restaurants that are recommended. The tour leaders are very informed and entertaining. Five stars the whole way.

An absolutely excellent tour - a great way to see the city, I would recommend to anyone. Our tour guide was hilarious, and all of the tastings were great. Even better, we were given a booklet filled with recommendations in the area for the next visit. We were visiting New York to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and the whole group sang happy birthday to him. A fantastic time and we will definitely be back to do another one

I joined up on this tour on a recommendation from a colleague and found this tour to be one of the highlights of my first trip to NY. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area and provided information not just for the local food, but for the neighbourhood as well. The guide's enthusiasm for the tour and great humour made for a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be recommending this tour to others.

Interesting tour in a block I probably would have missed otherwise. Fascinating stories and delicious tastings; especially the Italian shop and the lobster-shop.

My sister-in-law and I just took the West Village tour. It was beyond expectation! We were prepared for great food, but were pleasantly surprised by the educational aspect of the tour. Interesting historical and cultural tidbits were a highlight. We can't wait to come back to NYC and take another tour. Our goal is to do all of them, and we wish there were more offered in other parts of the city. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

My wife and I highly recommend this tour. Not only will you be shown where the great restaurants are, but you will also be introduced to some great tasting authentic Chinese cuisine.

We had done food tours in Chicago and Seattle, and decided to try this tour of Greenwich Village in NY. It certainly met our standards with good tastings, interesting sights, and a knowledgable guide. We can't wait to tour another neighborhood during our next visit to New York!

This was a fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon--exploring New York from a whole new angle and tasting great food for 3 hours. The whole group enjoyed the experience immensely. Bob Gelber, our tour guide, was terrific, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. I recommend the tour highly.
