This was our 2nd food tour with your company and it was excellent. It was great to see a different part of NY and our tour guide Kurt was amazing. He memorized everyone's names, was very knowledgeable, well organized and a great guide. Keep up the great work. I have highly recommended this to many of my friends and family and will continue to do so.

We had a delightful day in Greenwich Village sampling some of the local fare. Our tour guide, Sephora, was knowledgeable and funny - she kept us laughing the whole time. I think the main purpose of the tour was to get us comfortable with the surrounding area. We would not hesitate to make a return trip to try out the local restaurants. The only downside - it was a little heavy on the carbs! ....but the food was delicious.

Guide Amy, offers a warm and personal touch to his 90-minute walking tour of Greenwich Village . The tour provied a great introduction to historical aspect of area. Mixing history, good food, and well-researched facts this tour offers guests a chance to step back into time. If you are into history and great-tasting food, this tour would be well worth your time!!

A fun (and filling) food tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed the upbeat personality of our guide as well as the great nibbles along the way. The day was drizzly and cold so it turned out to be the perfect tour as most of it was indoors. Thanks for a great afternoon!

One of the best things we've ever done in NYC, and we've been many times. Great overview of Greenwich Village, and fantastic food. We are not generally the "tour group" type, but we loved every minute of it.

I highly recommend this tour. My husband admitted he didn't think he'd enjoy this tour but it was at the top of both our lists of favorite things we did in NY. Our guide Cindi was fantastic. The group included 1 New Yorker, tourists from CA, AZ & TX, and couples from Germany, Finland and Australia. The history we learned from Cindi was so interesting and fun. She pointed out things we never would have known just visiting the food market on our own. We tasted a huge variety of foods and learned a little about the chefs behind them. We got a sense of the development of Chelsea and how it is evolving today. I will definitely schedule some of the other food tours next time I'm in NY.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Heather. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area; both for the restaurants and the architecture which made the tour so special. When we return to NYC we will be booking one of the other tours. The places that we stopped were very friendly and the tastings were the perfect size. Great Job!!!!

I'm not much of a foodie but this was definitely a worthwhile tour. Good facts and information coupled with a variety of classic NYC food and coupons for later! My boyfriend is also a big eater and he was just as stuffed as I was after we were done with the 8 tastings. We made the mistake of doing the tour on our last day in NY so couldn't use the coupons or try out the restaurants that were recommended, so be sure to catch this on the early part of your trip.

This tour was fun but not diverse enough

My family and I took the Chelsea Food tour and had mixed feelings about it. We enjoyed our guide very much and some of the food but here is some feedback. 1. Too much time was spent in the Chelsea Market itself and not enough time out in the Chelsea Neighborhood. There are MANY other restaurants in Chelsea that we could have had tastes in. 2. The tastings had too many sweets and not enough REAL food. 3. The salt tasting was a bit odd, and placed between two sweet tastings 4. We were expecting some interesting architectural and historical information outside of the market as well, like in your Greenich Village Food Tour. We loved seeing the High Line and hearing about the plans for the walkway and we would have liked to see more of the neighborhood, especially some of the OLD brownstones on the side streets and heard about their history. Thank you for listening and we look forward to taking a third tour with you some time. How about a SOHO Tour or BROOKLYN!!!!

We've been to the original Food of NYC tour in Greenwich and thought we should go to another one to learn more about the city, even though we have spent our lives here. All I must say was, it was fantastic. Nice little tour of places that we just didn't know existed. And the tour guide,Diana was very enthusiastic and informative. Can't ask for anything more. Thanks for a great time.

Fabulous, Fabulous, Fabulous!

I recently took the Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Tour and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! It was a very hot and humid day in the city and our tour guide, Barri, was excellent. She kept us moving and motivated, with lots of stops on the shady sides of the various streets and a few stops in air conditioned restaurants. The food was delicious and more than enough for lunch - I was stuffed by the end of the tour. The pizza was great, yummy cookie from Milk and Cookies and my favourite, the rice ball. Olive and Co. olive oils and balsamic vinegars were scrumptious. Barri was very knowledgeable about the neighbourhood and provided lots of interesting facts and tidbits as we did our tour. It's certainly a great opportunity to see a side of the neighbourhood the average tourist wouldn't see. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city. I can't wait for my next trip so I can do another tour! Thanks!

Too long and too little
Fri, Mar 10, 06   12:30 PM TinaTina Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
My brother and sisters and husband went on the Chelsea food tasting tour and were disappointed. While the tour guide was funny and informative, the tour was too long, (3hrs.) and the tasting too little. The most annoying thing about it was that you were not allowed to purchase anything in the shops until AFTERthe 3HR tour that ends down the street from the market! I don't know about you but I feel that "tourists" are basically impulse buyers and if they have to wait 2 hrs and walk a couple of blocks to go back to what they thought they wanted, most people would talk themselves out of it. I would have probably bought something in every shop we went to but as a result I bought nothing. Something to think about.

We had a group of ten ladies who took this tour and we were all in agreement that it was great. Our tour guide was enthusiastic and full of knowledge and shared great stories about the Village. The portions we were given in all of the tastings were generous and delicious. Our tour was at 11:00 a.m. and we had so much food on the tour that lunch wasn't necessary. It was a perfect way to spend a morning. The only drawback was that we did not have enough time during to tour to make purchases in some of the shops we visited.
