Valuable to learn the 4 Ws for a major producting portion of NYC, how it fell into disuse and how it was rescued (DelTouche) because there was a basis for both a market & a sustainable profit contribution that would eventual increase the use and change of an entire neighborhood; ...One with an increasing demand from a greater segment of it citizens. Experience holds all the applications of recycling, green applications, cut-carbon-foot-print, live/work in same place, hold on to historical buildings, save worthy design standards (architectural, meat market, baking, railway) while allowing it to thrive as an attractive re-addition to the whole body which remains and advances the unique world-class place that only is found in NYC. |

My husband and I took our cousins on the Food Walking tour of Greenwich as a gift. We knew we were going to have a good time but din't realize how much fun (and food) we were going to have. Our guide was incredibly knowledgable and so much fun. The food was fantastic and I am looking forward to going back on my own and exploring the village more and eating at all these fantastic places again. I would highly recommend this to anyone - it was WELL worth the price. |

My wife and I couldn't recommend this tour enough. We wanted a taste of authentic New York and this was perfect. Our guide, Marie (I think lady with long blonde hair and bright pink lipstick - sorry if I got the name wrong) was brilliant; enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The food on the tour was top class. Worth it alone for a slice of Joe's Pizza!
All in I couldn't recommend this tour enough. Good value for money and a genuinely fun and interesting few hours. |

Our tour guide was Darryl. He was outstanding. He managed to impart a great deal of information while at the same time entertaining us with anecdotals. He is very well spoken,,,talks fast but clearly.
Will book another food tour next time we are in New York

We had a great tour guide who was fun and interesting. Enjoyed seeing the Chelsea market place and hearing about its history. I did not feel it was very informative for foodies though. I expected behind the scene restaurant type info. Instead it was :" this is a dairy here is a taste of chocolate milk, this is a bakery here is a cupcake." No meeting of owners etc. I felt the tastings., though generous were extremely random. It was obvious to me that any vendor willing to give free food was on the tour just by that virtue. Although they were tasty ,chocolate milk and a cupcake don't belong on a foodie tour. Most of us have easy access to that sort of food anyway. That being said, my husband enjoyed it for the history. He is not a foodie. I booked the tour. |

Was very good, the guide was definitely knowledgeable about the area. Learned things I never would have known, and I lived in NYC my whole life. I would have liked it if, once the guide found out the group was locals (plus two canadians I believe), she turned off the "tourist" schtick, as being from NYC it's a fair assumption we already knew Macdcougal partied until 5am, Little Italy was touristy, etc. But otherwise, she was great, very accommodating & friendly. The tour lasted a good amount of time as well. |

I would highly recommend this tour and our guide, Rahim. My 16 year old daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious and different; and we learned alot about the history of the area and where to find great artisan foods. Rahim was pleasant, accommodating and full of information. It was a great way to spend the afternoon and great value for the money. I would not hesitate to take another tour that this company offers. |

I just returned from a fabulous weekend in Manhattan with friends. There was five of us, myself being the only one now living locally in NJ. Having not seen one another for years we were looking for an activity that would be enjoyable to all. We did a few things but our favorite by far was our Food Tour of Greenwich Village. It was informative, delicious and the perfect choice for a girls Manhattan getaway. I am so pleased we chose to do this and look forward to revisiting some of the restaurants and taking another tour with my husband. |

Each Foods of New York tour I have taken has been a wonderful experience, this latest being no exception. Every aspect of the tour is well planned, with all the shop and restaurant stops allowing ample time to both sample the food and take in the atmosphere. Also, the tour guides, in this cause, Barri and Bert, were knowledgable, approachable, and a lot of fun. They really make these tours worth taking. |
