Foods of New York Tours

We were looking to do something off the beaten path in NYC since we had already done all the must do's. The tour was great, good tastings, wonderful guide, good information about the Village. Now we know where to go when we come back. Can't wait to do some of the other food tours that you offer!

I went on this tour and loved loved loved it. I recommended it to anyone who was going to New York. Whilst I still love the tour, the tour guide this time around was not as knowledgeable as the first time. She was not from new york and that really showed. I think its much better when the tour guide is from the area as I know we missed out on so much information that I received last time. Lucky I was able to update my partner on the information.

The food was great, the guide was very informative. Great way to learn about the area and a great culinary experience. Loved it.

Really well organised activity that should be firmly on every foodie NYC visitor's itinerary. Our guide was lovely and very knowledgable and the food we got served was to die for. Excellent combination of savoury & sweet items and definitely enough to cover lunch. The tour itself is a nice walk through the lovely neighbourhood and will make you want to come back for sure. Highly recommended and would do it again! Bon Appetit!

This tour came highly recommended by a colleague and I am so happy we decided to do it. My husband and I and some friends braved the cold for a tour of Greenwich Village. We tried many delectable treats and were led through the streets of the village by our wonderful guide, Marie. I was truly sad when it had to end. I can't wait for our return to the city to revisit some of the places we stopped at and to try another tour.

Every single tasting was great. The guide provided a lot of details of the neighbourhood in terms of the restaurants/shops and history of various places.

Our family had a fantastic Sunday morning tour with the utterly hilarious - but oh so knowledgeable - Sephra. The food and the stories of the origins of the businesses and the people who own them were great - my favourite was the cauliflower from Palma's 'farmhouse', but other favourites were the risotto from Centro and the canolis from Rocco. It wasn't just the food; Sephra's guided tour of the Village - the smallest house, Cherry Lane Theatre, Grove Court, the 'Friends' apartment - was wonderfully informative. We highly recommend this tour. We celebrated my 50th birthday at Palma's later that week!

This was my second walking food tour as I did none 3 yrs. ago. I brought my girlfriend who had never been to New York and she was so impressed. Not only is the food sampling good but the guide we had, Sephra, was funny, informative and just an all around warm person. You would never know to go to the places we went is why you MUST do this!! Thanks again. 4 time Texas visitor to New York. There will be a 5th visit.

This is the third Foods of NY tour I've taken and it did NOT disappoint!! I LOVED this tour. The guide was fantastic and was so knowledgeable! Cindy was awesome- so personable and gave a fantastic tour. You cannot beat this tour if you live in NYC or if you are visiting!! This is the best thing I've done while visiting the city!! I've also done the Greenwich Village tour which was equally fabulous. These tours are the best in the area!!

Opportunity to learn much about Chelsea Market with knowledgeable, witty and personable tour guide. Food samples were deliciously fabulous! Only regret was that our family took the tour at the end of our New York visit. Next time around, we plan on spending more time down in the market.

This is my second food tour with this company and I would highly recommend them. The tour guides are very well informed and the food is excellent.

I had previously taken the original Greenwich Village tour and last year took the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking tour. Like the others, this was an enjoyable 3 hour foodie romp that mixed in some history of the area. Thoroughly enjoyed by our entire party.

Susan our guide was punctual and friendly. She was really good about remembering our first names which impressed me tons. She was knowledgeable about the city, in particular the Village and SoHo areas. We learned a lot about the different restuarants, bars, famous people who once lived in these areas or made movies in them. And of course, the food was amazing! I loved the Cuba restuarant the most because by that time I was freezing and I think she sensed that it was time to take us all inside for a warm sit down intimate bite to eat. I took a food tour May of 2009... different company, and it was fun but the portions of food were not nearly as big as on my Village SoHo tour. I was STUFFED afterwards. So happy and highly recommend this tour to others.

We got to learn about the area and try out many restaurants we've never been to - really enjoyed the tour. Its best for New Yorkers so that you can return to the places you try along the tour.
