Foods of New York Tours

Greenwich tour guide Barrie. She was very knowledgeable on vendors history and products,area history, as well as architecture which I had no interest in initially but by the end of the tour I wanted to know more.Food samples were all good/exceptional, Who could imagine that Macaroni & Cheese could be better than ever experienced ?.

I am not originally from NYC, but I have been living here for one and a half years now. We had a day off at work and I decided with a group of colleagues to do "something different". It worked out better than we thought! We had a great tour with explanation of the neighborhood, we visited 7 restaurants/food stores, we set in 4 of them, we tasted great food, everything at the right pace. Berri (I hope I am spelling her name correctly) was nice, competent, very friendly. I am advising my friends to take the tour when they get a chance: it is good value for money, and you get to know some nice places where to take your friends and significant other, or simply where to go to have something special and affordable when you feel like it.

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this tour. Our tour guide (Kurt) was absolutely brilliant and made the tour memorable for us. He was fun, extremely informative and very upbeat. We learnt a lot, ate a lot and laughed a lot. What more could we ask for. Terrific district, perfect tour. Thank you!

What a wonderful way to spend 3 hours in Greenwich Village. Our guide, Kurt, [a fellow Canadian] told us stories & anecdotes about the area, culture & the wonderful food we sampled. He seemed to have a friendly rapport with all the vendors & was very respectful of the "locals" whose neighborhood we were exploring. We laughed, learned & enjoyed every morsel. Thanks Kurt. We had great fun. The Canadian girl friends.

We loved the food eating tour. The tour (given by Curt) was funny and delicious. We had a variety of foods which went along extremely well with Curts funny and interesting stories (about both the neighborhood as well as people who have lived in Greenwich Village). Curt seemed to know everyone in the neighborhood which added something to the tour. We would highly encourage everyone to go on one of these trips. Everyone on the tour seemed to have a great time and had lots to eat.

The tour guide is really good.; he is an expressive actor. However, he speaks to fast for those whose native language is not English.

Interesting guide, good food - inspiring!

We thought the tour was a lot of fun, our tour guide Marie was very personable and knew a great deal about the area and the food was wonderful. We're looking forward to our next trip to NYC and will definitely go back to the Village for food and entertainment. We'll also try the Chelsea Food Market Tour.

This tour was alot of fun and very different than anything we had ever done while visiting New York. It was definitely worth the time and money! So much to see, learn, and taste! Our tour guide Carrie Ann was awesome and she knew so much! VeryGood Experirnce!

The tour was fantastic. A lot of interesting information from our very sweet tour guide Carrie-Ann.

We loved the tour, but what made it so special was the tour leader, Cindy. She was high energy, very friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area. We would definitely do another tour with her. We really enjoyed finding out about something (Chelsea Market) that we did not previously know. We come to New York once a year, and always try to do something different, and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Cindy.

My second food tour with Foods of NY and I loved the Chelsea one as much as Greenwich Village. First time with my husband, this time with two girlfriends. CINDY is the best--hysterical, eneregetic, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. I was lucky enough to have her for both tours, two years apart, and wish she did more food tours so I could take them all. Request her and you will have a fabulous time eating, laughing, and strolling your way through a dynamic neighborhood and foodie paradise.
