I was very much looking forward to taking a tasting tour! Once my trip was cancelled I was upset that there was no opportunity for a refund. If I could have recieved a refund I would have been encouraged to take this tour next time I make my way down to NYC. |

Thank-you Susan of Foods of NY for a great tour of Soho and Greenwich!
The tastings were delicious!
And the history tour of the Village was fantastic! SUSAN was fabulous!!
We even came back the next night and tried Monty's for dinner and thought it was quite good.
Would recommend it to friends for a fun walk around a great area -- tasting a few delights and happily learning about the ins-and outs of a cool area! |

This was the second food tour that I have done with this company and we were not disappointed. It was absolutely wonderful - our guide was fantastic and the food was incredible. I would totally do another one of these tours again. |

It wasn´t our first time to Meatpackers District but still the tour was really great! Our tour guide Curt did a very good job in explaining things and telling the history of restaurants to we can really recommend this tour to people who are interested in getting to know the background of restaurants. Last but not least-the food was great and always enough for everyone :-). |

I really enjoyed this tour of the Greenwich Village area. Our tour guide was enthuastic, friendly and knowledgeable about the area and food venues. Everything was very contained and there was not too much walking between places. The food was delicious and the history of the area very interesting. I would recommend this tour to other NY visitors. |

While i did enjoy the day, the cost was expensive for what you got.
The guide was nice (Heather) and kept the tour going at a reasonable pace. Was informative, and we tipped accordingly.
The food stops were not great value and it would have been nice to sample some coffee.
You should drop the visit to the spice herb shop as it is old, dirty and full of garbage (and wandering cats for people allergic to cats !)
Considering the number of eateries oin the area, a few more food stops and food tastings would be preferred.
Overall an interesting tour, but not great value for money. |

Interesting and different tour, with a guide that was full of enthusiasm. Only comment would be - I expected a little more food (and with dessert at the end, not in the middle). |

I was very keen to go on the tour, my wife less so. Within 10 minutes of the tour starting she was completely won over. Our guide was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic, regards both "the village" and the foodie delights. It was a great introduction to Greenwich Village, so much so, that a couple of days later we virtually repeated it on our own (complete with insider knowledge!). |

We had four days in NYC and this tour had been recommended to us. MAKE SURE YOU DO IT even if it means you miss some of the other more traditional sightseeing. Walking around Greenwich Village will give you a sense of the real New York and the restaurants that real New Yorkers rate.
We tasted some fantastic food, met some of the chefs and laughed all the way round with our tour guide who had a great sense of humour. Our tour guide was Sephra (a trained pastry chef) so was more food focused that history and acrhitecture but that suited us fine! |

Good variety of food. Great restaurants - we plan on going back to most of them. What was fantastic is hearing the owners/chefs of restaurant and speak and answering questions. More than enough food provided on the tour - but it was all wonderful. There were vegetarians in our group that were really well catered for - all places provided equal (or better!) alternatives - even at the butcher. It was great having the break in the middle with lots of walking. Wonderful history of the area - and the added movie and television references just added to the tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. The tour also oriented us in a very unfamiliar area. The bakery was a wonderful way to end the tour(probably the best stop!) - we remained behind for coffee. Highly recommended - a must if visiting New York. |

Our tour guide Susan was very informative and knowlegable. The best stop was the first one and that was the Indian restaurant. I will definitely be back to Aamchi Pao. Do not eat anything before the tour because you get a lot of food. |

We loved the walking tour. We loved it so much that we returned the next night to one of the resturants that was on the tour. I have passed this website to one of my friends that
will be going to New York next year. On my next trip to New York I will do another
walking tour of another district. |

We joined this tour - my family (wife, 2 girls 12 and 14) and two friends (2 old guys my age) with the idea that we would learn a bit about Chelsea area and enjoy some food rain or shine.
Well we did - and plenty more. The history, the assortment of foods to everyone's taste, the great tour guide who kept all of us interested - he remebered everyone's name, and sprinkled with fashion and city character that really was unique to this area of NYC.
We ALL enjoyed the experience - this was really an inexpensive and enjoyable event.
Well worth the while.
After the tour, we went back to explore some more and we knew exactly what we wanted to do!
Thanks and Cheers.
