Foods of New York Tours

Two of the three members of our group had not been to NYC before. We found the tour to be fun and informative. We visited several places mentioned on the tour later on and enjoyed them. I was told about the tour by a friend in Kansas City who had gone on it and said I would enjoy it. She was right!

Our group of 4 had a great time with Kurt. Kurt is soooo much fun!! I would reccomend to anyone that this is a great tour.

This was a fun trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and a comedian to boot! She gave us such varied information and stories of some of the homes and businesses, we'd have to read several sources to get the same education. The food was very good. Though the walk was not a lengthy jaunt, we saw many styles of architecture and stopped at several places within a short distance of each other. If you've never been to the area or if this is your 10th trip, this tour is a wonderful way to spend three hours.

Our tour was fantastic. We tasted some great food and learned about the history of Greenwich Village. Our guide, Cindy, was very informative and funny. Be prepared for lots of walking. We returned the next day to eat a meal at one of the restaurants we visited on the tour.

Good introduction to what is good to eat in the West Village area. Deli, pastries, restaurants.... Tour guide very knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Our tour guide was excellent and really added to the enjoyment of the tour. His humour and enthusiam was infectious.

The tour was a well designed and extremely informative way to see Greenwich village and get a feel for some of the restaurants in the area. My wife and I were so impressed with the tour that we changed our plans and came back to the Village to eat at the Home restaurant. Barri, our guide, was knowledgeable and friendly and kept the tour moving along. The lunch stop was well-timed and gave us the chance to have a fun conversation with another couple on the tour. We were delighted with all aspects of the tour!

I found this tour excellent. We had a lovely tour guide who took us around the Village and gave us as much information as I felt necessary. The food tasting was excellent too We came away with so much more knowledge of the area which my husband and myself enjoy very much and knew so little about and also with a full stomach after tasting so many lovely treats both savoury and sweet. Thoroughly recommend this tour.

Excellent, informative tour with more stops and more food than I was expecting. Detour into Cherry tree lane and surrounds really interesting. Our host was very knowledgeable

Both my husband and I can't say enough good things about the the food tour. It incorporated wonderful food tastings from the Greenwich area, local history, information about the historic area homes but best of all, our guide Cindy!! She got involved with the group and had a great sense of humor. Loved her!!!! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Brought my two adult sons on the tour not being sure if they would like it - they were so impressed that we booked another tour of the Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District! Diana was an excellent tour guide and the food at each place we visited was wonderful. We ended up eating at Palma on 3 separate occasions between us during our one week stay, thanks to being introduced on the tour. We also shopped at Murray's, had coffee and sweets at Amy's and Gelato around the corner. Had the Red, White and Blue special one afternoon at Fish and went to John's for pizza another day. Definitley made an impression!!! It was the one of the highlights of our trip - thank you!

The tour guide was great, she is funny and knowledgble. She talked about dutch farmers who were leaving in teh village, old NY building, old movies stars, foods, reasturants, today nightlife, music. She gave tips. Just perfect! She was realy able to make a perfect picture of teh coolest area of NYC.

This is our third NY food tour and, once again, we were very happy. Raheem was knowledgeable, entertaining, friendly and obviously loved his work. I would take any tour he led. As someone who usually fills up on pork fried rice because I never knew how or what to order, this tour was a real eye opener. We sampled 6 different delicious dumplings, Peking Duck, and several other dishes as Raheem carefully explained the background, preperation and historical and cultural significance of each item. Notes were taken and I plan to study for my next trip to the local Chinese restaurant! So far we have done Chinatown, Brooklyn, West Village and Chelsea tours and we look forward to another on our next trip to the city.

Had a fantastic time on this tour, i had Raheem as my tour guide! This guy is so smart and informative, he knows his stuff!! We had amazing Dim sums at Dim sum go go! Plus the Peking Duck at the Peking Duck Restaurant, was sooo delish!! Great tour!
