My partner and I traveled to nyc to take in the sights and flavors of the city. We were thrilled with what the foods of nyc provided. Not only was every venue a treat but we learned a wealth of knowledge about the neighborhoods and their history. We could not be happier. We spent several days and evenings and returned to many for a great meal. Thanks to our tour guide for such a delightful time. We would recommend this tour to anyone.
Thanks

From start to finish this was a fantastic tour. Kurt our tour guide was brilliant, really informative and friendly and made a great effort to remember everyones name, which amazingly enough he nearly almost did. We learnt a lot about the area and had some really fantastic food. I could not recommend this tour highly enough and when we next visit New York we will certainly take in another tour. |

This is now our 4th food tour (we did the Chelsea Market tour twice), and this is our favorite thing to do when we get to NYC. We love the combination of learning about a new neighborhood, getting a bit of the background and history, walking and getting some exercise, and of course, tasting lots of yummy food. The quality of the food selection is superb and the guides are consistently knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. We will be back! |

This was my second tour by them. I enjoyed the tour immensely. The guide was great & quite knowledgeable. I also enjoy the guides that were born & raised in NYC.
The only complaint I had was our the food stop at a Cuban restaurant. I felt that it was a tourist trap - I did not get the authentic feel/vibe. It was a good opportunity to sit down, but I would recommend discontinuing this stop. |

Not as good as West Village Food Tour

I was dissapointed with the food offerings on this tour. The food seemed to be a strange combination of choices with only a few seeming to have relavence to the neighborhood that they were in. The West Village tour offered by this company is MUCH better and is thoroughly recommended for its combination of history and food samples that are part of the neighborhood's culture and past. |

The tour we took was wonderful: great choices of restaurants and tastings. The Greenwich Village area was fantastic and as locals, we even learned a few new things about our city. The very best part was the guide, Kurt. This guy was engaging, entertaining, funny, informative and made us all feel like he cared that we enjoy our tour. He was the best! |

We really enjoyed the walking tour. Lots of history about people who frequented the area years ago and our guide was engaging and really passionate about what he does. Interesting and unique restaurants. Places you could never find on your own and a good variety. |

This is the 2nd tour we attended, the first was the Village tour. Based on this, we can compare that this 2nd tour was much better than the 1st in many ways ---- great guide, Raheem, very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun; more interesting restaurants/tastings provided including few sit-downs enjoyed, most especially the Cuba Restaurant segment. Will definitely recommend to friends & family. Am already thinking of which family to give these tours as gifts to in the future ...... |

I would definitely recommend this activity, and any other tours from zerve! I have gone on another tour with zerve (city tour) and was very, very satisfied. This food tour was so informative, interesting, and delicious! The tour guide was so helpful, knowlegable and friendly. The other tour group go-ers were all so nice as well. Felt like one big friend group.
I really liked the booklet handout our tour guide gave about his reviews on the restaurants in Chelsea Market and around the Meatpacking district. I go to New York every couple months and will definitely be using that booklet as a guide to restaurants and will be sharing it with friends who plan on travelling to New York.
The only thing that I would comment on is that the tour guide(s) should not say at the beginning that there is still a full sit-down lunch at the end of the tour as it felt like he put so much emphasis on there being so much food that it made people hold back at all the other taste testers. People ended up not eating so much in all the other stops as they thought they needed to save room for the big finale, which ended up being only one little plate of pasta. Not a full-sit down lunch as first mentioned. After the tour we were still hungry and had to eat out for lunch and ran into two other people who were in our group eating a full lunch as well. If the amount of food is not stressed or mentioned at the beginning, it would be alot better. Instead of pacing thinking there is a big treat at the end, people would be more impressed not knowing at the amount of taste testers.
Thank you. |

I found this tour on Trip Advisor. I did a little more research and then booked the tour. You never know what you're going to get with these tours so I kept my fingers crossed and headed out to meet the guide. Talk about blind luck! Bob, our guide, was awesome. Not only did we visit several bakeries and restaurants, but he gave an amazing history lesson along the way. He was very creative in his story telling and kept our interest the entire tour. I had read several complaints about the food being skimpy, but it wasn't by far and after all it's a tasting, not a dinner! I highly recommend this tour and wil be trying my luck again with one of the other locations on my next trip to NYC! |

We loved this tour! Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable and the food was fantastic...
I had taken the tour several years ago and wanted my friends to experience it. Little did I know that it would be a whole new experience for me as well. If you've been on the tour before - try it again! |

Our guide was enthusiastic and sincere in her love and interest in Greenwich Village which made for an engaging and enjoyable tour. The food tastings were diverse and accessible. |
