I have been meaning to review this tour for months now - my husband and I did the Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour in September last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Kurt, was fantastic - there were about 14 people on the tour and we were really impressed that he learnt everyones names and where we were from. He was very clued up on the area in general together with the food we sampled and the places serving it. He was enthusiastic without being over the top and also told some very amusing stories and at times had us in stitches. The food we sampled was wonderful and I'm somewhat of a non-adventurous eater - we originally went on this tour more for my husband than for me but I thouroughly enjoyed all of the food and had a fabulous time. Joe's Pizza was great, and it was cool to see the place where Peter Parker got fired from in the Spider-man movies! And also to see the many other famous faces displayed on the walls of the pizza place who obviously appreciate the delicious pizza from Joe's! Another standout spot for me was the Milk and Cookies bakery, which served us a delicious gooey chocolatey choc chip cookie still warm from the oven. It was perfection! The whole tour was great from start to finish and I would recommend it to anyone who visits New York to get a picture of Greenwich Village as a whole and to help discover some of the eateries you may normally just pass by if you didn't know they were there. |

The tour was perfect, the guide was fun and very personable! Everything he shared gave us the impression we were getting an insider's view and I know they were places I wouldn't have found on my own -- none were in my Frommer's guidebook or AAA guidebook - for me, the less touristy the place the better. He also provided just enough info on history and architecture to teach us about the area. And then there was the food - I liked absolutely eveything I ate!!! It was so worth it and I am recommending it to everyone I know heading to NYC! |

The China town tour took us places a New Yorker may not ever have seen on their own. We were given a historical background and even pictures of what the sites looked like long ago. We had a feel of how the neighborhood changed as we walked through small winding streets and came upon different venues.
The restaurants on our tour gave us a taste of the best and most authentic for Dim Sum, Peking Duck and Cantonese food. The tour guide (Rajiid?) gave us detailed descriptions of the food and preparation of everything we ate. The service was great, everything was ready for us and we had a quiet private area in each of our places. We also visited a Health/herbal and tea place stocked up with exotic and some very expensive delicacies. There you can also get some homeopathic remedies. Some of us enjoyed the fruity bubbly teas.
The tour was most enjoyable and a great experience as the tour guide was so entertaining with his many stories and the fellow participants were so friendly. We highly recommend this tour and we are planning some other ones very soon. |

I have done every tour you offer, and LOVE them. they are always one of the highlights of my trips to NY. The guide, Raheem, is so knowledgeable and has such passion for the food. I have all my guides from all the tours, and treat them as my food bibles whenever in NY and deciding what to eat! |

The Greenwich Village food tasting tour was even better than I thought it would be. We got to sample tons of food - from pizza to an entire bowl of corn risotto. There was plenty to eat and see on the tour. The best part was learning the cultural aspects of the neighborhood and how it influenced the food. Our tour guide, Kurt, was very knowledgable about the history of the neighborhood, as well as the food. I look forward to checking out the other neighborhood tours. |

Marie was an excellent tour guide who was so enthusiastic about the local food venues and extremely knowledgeable about the area we toured. It was clear she had a great rapport with the local business owners and she shared so much about the great food and the history and present day stories of Greenwich village. We not only had wonderful cheeses, Risotto and canoli but understood how the area came to be. |

My partner and I traveled to nyc to take in the sights and flavors of the city. We couldnt be happier with the result. We learned so much about the neighborhoods we felt like we were there when they were established. The tastings were a foodies delight and we went back to several during our stay and had meals there. A special thanks to our tour guide. She really knows her stuff. We would highly recommend this to anyone.

Milk and cookies never tasted so good. Chelsea market has so much to offer ..not just food. Who would have thought that Nabisco crackers started it all. Our guide was a historian and his stories were wonderful and had us glued to his every word. The food was excellent and we had a good walk along the high line. |

The tour gave us a chance to explore a part of New York that is off the beaten tourist path. Not only did we get to sample foods from local companies, we were able to experience the culture of a neighborhood that has been revitalized into a savvy part of the city. |

Having been to NYC multiple times, this was easily the best touristy thing we've done. The group was small and cordial. History was easily mixed in with the food. The walking was not too far for the older or the younger amongst us. The food was FANTASTIC. The walls that came down were impressive. A cauliflower hater became a lover, a honey detractor became a honey promoter, the anti-sheep cheese coalition was disbanded. It was fantastic. |

We have been going to NYC for 8 years, and this food tour is THE best thing we have done! Sephrah was a wonderful tour guide-so friendly, she kept us laughing, and we learned about the Village while having fun and being fed delicious food! We didn't want the tour to end. We will definitely come back next year. Thank you! |

An interesting experience!!!.... good way to "see" & "experience" Greenwich Village!... Saw places that i would not have found on my own... a good SMALL group of people that were congenial & all seem to have a sense of humor!!!.... The tasting examples were varied & took the place of lunch that day.
Our Guide was very friendly,& knowledgable & enthusiastic, which made for a good experience!!.... I would highly recommend this Tour to all First Time New Yorker's!! |
