I signed up for this tour with my boyfriend, who requested that we do something that didn't require miles of walking but would still keep him interested during our day trip (he'd had no prior interest in visiting NYC and was not overjoyed that I wanted to sightsee, not for food nor cultural purposes). I was hoping this tour would have a wide enough variety of foods and cultural tidbits to keep the both of us happy...
We were not disappointed.
The most common worry in our tour group was that there wouldn't be enough food, but there was plenty to go around (we had 8 tastings on our particular tour) - so much so that we definitely didn't need lunch afterward. Our group consisted of individual tourists to couples to families with children, all of varying ages and ethnicities. Our guide provided a bottle of water and was very considerate of the weather, making sure to hurry us along depending on how drizzly it was at any given moment. He also provided plenty of cultural information that was anecdotal and entertaining rather than a straight history lesson of the area. Very informative without being dry or boring, he obviously loved the area and what it has to offer in terms of food. And the walking? Speaking as someone who's been living in Philadelphia for the past year and has had to do a fair amount of walking on a daily basis... really, really not bad at all.
In summary, while we were doubtful at first, we left our 3-hour tour completely full and much more appreciative of the diverse culture of Greenwich Village and SoHo. We loved every bit of our tour and will certainly try out another of these tours if we're ever in the area again. Highly recommended! |

Our tour guide was so informative and enthusiastic. I did this tour last year with someone else and it was very good, but not anything like this one. I will do again!!! |

This tour ended up being one of the top highlights from our trip to NYC. Greenwich Village is a very quaint, quite yet friendly neighborhood. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, energetic and went above and beyond the call of duty. Each of the food sampled was delicious and small gem restaurants were found. We would highly recommend doing this tour near the beginning of a trip as there are likely to be places you will wish to return for meals.
We would strongly recommend this tour to anyone. |

Tour guide Dianne did a great job providing insights into the Chelsea Market and High Line. Enjoyed the tastings very much and the inside look at 3 excellent restaurants. Dianne's enthusiasm and energy much appreciated. |

This tour was really a tasting experience of really good food choices. It seemed a little rushed, but was informative. |

Our tour guide was great, she is what made the tour so informative and fun. My son and I both learned a lot about the Chelsea Market, she is a great story teller. The tasting was good and it was fun walking and eating as we go along. I will definitely recommended this to my friends. Anna H |

Arrived my hubby and I with only seconds to spare!!!! Met our guide. I had specifically asked for a certain gal(as our children had her). Not to be but our guide was just fine..... a little too serious but that is fine! A threesome on the tour were very rude and kept talking during the tour. What do you do???? The guide handled it well, hard to hear her but certainly that was not her fault. Again the food was wonderful and atmosphere was warm and so informative. Keep up the good work. Had a wonderful time on this tour, but I must say most of that was due to the very knowledgeable guide, Kurt, he was outstanding! I was impressed with his remembering everyone's names..... and his wonderful sense of humor. The foods we tasted were much more than we had anticipated. Everything was excellent. I would recommend this tour to everyone. |

Lots of information and different foods were presented in a fun and entertaining way. This is the second time that we took the Greenwich Village tour and enjoyed it as much the second time as we did the first. Our guide painted a picture of the area as it began as well as modern day values of the area. I would highly recommend the tour. |

I have been on many New York food tours and was most impressed with this one. What makes it unique is that you actually sit down for meals in several restaurants as opposed to standing outside in the street. The food was delicious authentic chinese food - not your standard take out fare. |

We were thoroughly entertained, enlightened, and filled with amazing food. We went back to one of the restaurants the very next day and had a fabulous dim sum meal. Now we can't wait for our next New York trip so that we can try all the other places. |
