Foods of New York Tours

This was a wonderful way to sample some amazing food and well as see and hear the insider stories about Greenwich Village! The 3 1/2 hour tour was well worth the tickect price, and I have already recommended it to my friends who are coming to the Big Apple!

My friends and I were highly impressed with our tour and our tour guide, Barri. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and accommodating. The tour offered a bit of everything food-wise, but we appreciated that it was concise and centered around a certain area of the neighborhood. That aspect allowed you to feel like you could come back and really have some background on food/restaurant choices. I am looking forward to doing this again with other groups of friends and/or my spouse. I lived in NYC for 10 years and was highly enlightened that day!

Marie was our tour guide and she was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgable. There was so much food at the tastings that I was more than full. Loved trying foods that I wouldn't normally eat. Well worth the price

I loved the Greenwich Village Food and Cultural Tour. I didnt feel like I was in what I envisioned as New York. It was quaint and cozy and calm. I never would have walked the back roads we were lead down or entered the shops of wonderful food. Our tour guide Amy was a wealth of knowledge about the area down to unique little details. The food was excellent (I was stuffed) and the hidden away spots magical. From being in New York and doing everything and anything this was my favourite part!!

The tour was a great combination of history and food. We wanted to get to know this neighborhood and the tour was perfect for that purpose. Highly recommend the tour to foodies and history lovers. Our guide was knowledgable and engaging.

This tour provides a wonderful mix of varied tastes, historical annecdotes and architectural information about a fascinating part of NYC. I particularly loved hearing about the homes and haunts of the early American writers who lived in the Village. The food was amazing and the timing of the tour spaced the tastings well so that we were able to enjoy each offering. Our guide, Marie, had a warm and friendly style and it was clear that she had developed a close and respectful relationship with the local establishments. I'd recommend this tour highly and hope to return with my kids and larger family next time we visit NYC.

Was not so interested with all the details of the region, but visiting the area was great, the tour guide was energetic and passionate, and going to several store/restaurant and trying different foods was exqusite. I'd do it again (bit not the same location)

Really enjoyed the food tour, the tastings were generous and enjoyed the time to sit and not only enjoy the food but the company of others on the tour. Highly recommend tour as led by a citizen of the area. Our leader is familiar with the streets where the tour took place and could offer inside information and had special relationships with the restaurant vendors of the area.

Hi~ This was my third time taking this tour with visiting friends from out of town. I think that this is one of the best ways to learn about the history of New York as well as try some of the fantastic food that this city has to offer. I would highly recommend this tour to EVERYONE! The Original Greenwich Village Tour was a terrific way to spend a Saturday afternoon and get the true flavor of a NYC neighborhood. The tour involved a small amount of walking and more than enough food for lunch. We tasted eight different items from local restaurants and specialty stores. Our guide spoke about those restaurants and shops, other worthwhile establishments, the history of the area, and tidbits about other parts of NYC. She was incredibly personable and paced the tour just perfectly-- a great mix of walking, visiting shops and restaurants, and (of course) eating. We recommend Foods of New York Tours to all of our family and friends and hope to return to NYC for another tour soon.

A walking tour of Greenwich Village while it's 105 degrees outside. Tough, very tough. But, the food was fantastic. Would have been nice to include more wine tastings. Nice tidbits of info on Greenwich Village that you could probably have gotten by Googling. If you are looking for info/background on the different types of restaurants and other eateries in the village, take the tour.

This is the second time I have taken this tour and it was even better the second time around! The guides are fun and knowledgable. The food is delicious! It's a wonderful area to become acquainted with and I have used their recommendations on more than one occasion and have never been disappointed. If you love food, and want a first hand view of the Greenwich area, you'll love this tour.

This tour was a birthday activity for my family and we were all impressed with Diane's knowledge of the area , its history, the specialty food stores, restaurants, clubs,parks, & theater. It would take a lifetime to gather all this knowledge & insight. I recommend this to everyone. It was 98 degrees when we did this tour & the 3 hours just flew by.
