Foods of New York Tours

Enjoyed the food and the history of Greenwich Village. Tour guide, Cindy, was terrific. Will take this tour again the next time I visit NYC.

Just went on the tour this week. This was our second food tour in the US and it was by far the better of the two (other was in China Town in San Fran). There were numerous opportunities to sample foods and lots of info about the neighborhood and history of restaurants and the area. The only down side was there was quite a bit of stopping in front of restaurants and talking about their menu, but not going inside or learning anything else about it. This is great if you are staying in Greenwich Village and want to eat there several more times during your trip or are a local who can use this info, but otherwise, its a little bit of a waste. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

We will probably use the establishments during our next visit Our guide Kurt was very entertaining. We all had a great time.

This is my second tour (my friends and I did the Greenwich Village Tour last November). During the Chelsea Market/Meat Packing District tour, I enjoyed myself immensely. The tour guide, Darryl, was incredibly knowledgeable; (the historic content he provided was amazing). Darryl was also very entertaining and gets a double thumbs up from my entire group. The food samplings were all very good / delicious; however the balance of savory/sweet should be addressed. Although it was quite yummy, starting with a cupcake at 11:00 am wasn't what we imagined. I had a great time and would do another, different tour again, this particular tour was too heavy on sweet / dessert-like tastings.

The walking tour was a great way to spend a mid- morning. The information given by our guide, Heather, was informative as well as interesting. All the street shops had a unique story of how the mom & pop stores struggled to survive through the years. The food was an extra bonus! Do this tour if you're looking for a good activity.

Live on L.I. but don't take advantage of all there is to do in the city. Meet a group of old friends who I hadn't see in some time to take the tour. It was a great day. Our guide Kirt was a hoot, very entertaining, and he knows so much trivia about the sites we visited. I give it 5 stars.

Enthusiastic tour guide with a lot of information on the market and the surrounding areas. It was evident that Bob loved his job! Fun to sample the food and learn the history of our location.

I highly reccommend this tour to all those who enjoy history and great food. Samples were generous, wear comfortable shoes- lot's of standing. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had 18 people in our group...that was just enough people. Took lots of great photos of food and the historical building. Enjoy!

Amazing 3hr walking and sitting tour with about 10 different tastings. Tour includes history, culture, celebs, architecture but most importantly food. This is my 5th tour with this company and they are consistenty brilliant. Guides are all great and each put their own slant and history on tour. Food options are varied running from italian, to indian, to lebanese, to cuban, to modern american. So much food you will feel sick by the end. Can't reccomend enough.

My third tour with FofNY Tours and maybe even the best. Great tour guide, so enthusiastic, so knowledgable. The food choices were very varied and not too large. From Italian to Indian to Cuban the food was selected to enable you to try items you'd never normally order. The history element of this tour is always great, they don't just do food! They do neighbourhoods but the history is spot on. My guest loved it too

As a new local I've been on quite a few tours and this was one of the best, if not best so far. 9 tastings over a small distance but covering so much variety. Tasting choices were great, going to return to all of them at some point and unlike other food tours you get discount vouchers, take home menus and conversations with the owners and hosts. Worth the money - so full at end.
