Highlight of our trip to NYC

My 16 year old daughter & I recently participated in the Greenwich Village Tour and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our guide (Zephra??, sorry about the spelling) was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and lots of fun. The food samples were great and we came away with lots of information about the neighbourhood, the local restaurants and the city in general. This was most definately a highlight of our trip to New York. We have already recommended the tour to friends who will be visiting the city later this summer. |

Teenagers Loved Tour!

Teenagers in NYC - shopping is a priority & sights will be seen. But this tour was absolutely the highlight of the trip for my teenaged sons & for me. Seffra, who led our tour, did an outstanding job of engaging entire group from the first greeting. Thanks to her enthusiastic insights, we enjoyed the West Village's curious history (from English settlers to Lady GaGa), amazing food tastings and vibrant evolving personality. I have recommended this tour to several friends already & plan to return myself for a grown up girls outing - with this tour & another on the "must do" list. And it's true - even the boys were stuffed by the time we finished out last cannoli.... |

This is the third tour of this kind that we have taken in the New York area in the past six years. We highly recommend it! The food is delicious and has generous portions for taste testing. The cultural information is wonderful. We learn so much about the area each time we go on one of the tours. To gather this much information about any area would take hours and hours of research, but on these tours we are always led by very knowledgeable tour guides. Each tour feels like a glorfied history lesson, with a personal touch and delicious food to boot. Take one of these tours, you won't be sorry. |

A wonderfully tasty way to see Central Village/Soho.
Our tour guide Mr R (only cause I can't remember his christian name)
was a fabulously informative culinary expert with a good sense of humour.
We loved not only the food but the intersting facts he gave us along the way.
Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area! |

I will recommend this tour to everyone I know visiting NYC. Definitely one of our favorite things to do in NYC. The food was AMAZING, our tour guide (Marie) was so fun and full of historical knowledge of the village. She was also so helpful with suggestions and recommendations of things to do and visit once the tour was complete. I loved this tour and look forward to doing it again at our next visit. |

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It was like walking around with a well-informed friend with connections! And I don't think I'll ever have a slice of pizza as good as the one we had on this tour. If I ever go back to New York, I would definitely sign up again. |

This was our third time with this company and we can't wait to do the next tour. We are excited to learn they are in the process of developing even more areas.
Our guide, Marie, did a fantastic job. She knew her stuff, was personable, and very pleasant (as were our other 2 guides on prior trips). Marie was very mindful of the extreme heat and did her best to keep us in the shade or indoors when possible. |

We had taken this same tour about 8 years ago and we enjoyed this just as much as the first time around. New destinations were added and others subtracted so it felt new to us again. I love NYC and enjoyed the walk and information our guide provided. Aside from our food experience (loved the Arancine balls from Faicco's and the vegan addition), we love the architecture and history of the city. My only negative comment was the length of time (3 hrs) in 95 degree heat. Maybe you could shorten the time when heat rises to unbearable heights. I believe the Explore Chinatown Tour will be our next tour when we visit our daughter and son-in-law again. Last fall we went on the Central/Greenwich Tour and loved it also. We went to dinner this time at Bellavitae, which we learned about from that tour last fall. Our daughter and friends have also gone. What an awesome meal. |

This was a great way to spend an afternoon - a nice break from the busy, touristy areas like Times Square or 5th Ave. And the food was DELICIOUS! We loved our tour guide, Marie, and would definitely take another tour if we had time! |

Food Tour Good but Too Much Cheese!

We (two adult females and teen female) enjoyed the food tour. The guide knew a lot about the area - restaurants, history, architecture, social. My only complaint is there was too much emphasis on cheese and cheese as an ingredient. Even at the cheese store (yes, I understand I'll be served cheese there), there was very little variety among the four or five types of cheeses offered. |

This was my second food tour with this company - it was as enjoyable as the first. Our delightful guide tempted us with nonstop interesting stories, history and wonderful food. She kept us entertained on a very hot NYC day - no small feat. These tours are a perfect way to spend a half-day - learn about New York City, eat yummy food and enjoy the outdoors. Did I mention great food? I'm looking for an excuse to sign up for my next food tour.
P.S. We had one vegetarian and one gluten-free diet. They accommodated us so well - sometimes our foods were better than what the rest were served! |

My husband and I had great time on the Greewich Village food tour. Our guide, Barri, was very knowledgable about the restaurants we visited as well as others in the neighborhood. She took the time to answer all questions the group had. Facts and stories about the neighborhood itself were very interesting and informative as well. All of the food was amazing and the quantity was much more than was expected. There were a few people in our group that had special dietary requirements. These were met by the guide/restaurants without sacrifcing any of the tastings. After the tour we were equipped with the knowledge of the area so that we felt that able to return on our own to explore and enjoy a wonderful meal. We are looking forward to returning to New York and participating in one of the other food tours!
A job well done!! |

Loved the tour! And Barri was great! She was enthusiastic about the topic and her ability to be concise and organized inspite of the 90 degree weather! My food allergies (gluten free/low-no sugar) were handled well and let me tell you...I did not get on the LIRR hungry! My reservation was made only 2 days prior, on account of my friend and her sister telling me about the adventure. There's so much to explore in NYC even for us locals! Would recommend to all! Will investigate their other tours. |
