Fantastic, Entertaining Afternoon!!!!

It was a fun filled gay afternoon!! My friends and I decided to take this tour with our out of town visitor(his first time to NYC!). Even though we have lived here many years, we had no idea of the wonders that were hiding in this little neighborhood!! The pizza, Murray's cheese(which I did know about, but not the tasting room!!!), herbs, fried baby artichokes...YUMMY!!! But let me tell you...it was all because of our tour guide, Sephrah, that made the day special! She was fun, energetic, humours, up beat, very knowledgeable and just had a good ole' NYC fun time. She truly made the experience. If you go on the tour...ask for her, you won't be disappointed. Thanks for a great time!!!!

This was our favorite activity we did over a long weekend visit to NYC. I previously attended the Chelsa tour as well. We loved our guide - Serphina?

Diana, our guide, makes this tour fun and informative. It is the perfect choice for a group of friends that want to do brunch on the move and learn lots about a very interesting part of NYC. Highly Recommended!!!

Marie was GREAT!!! - She obviously enjoys her role as 'Guide' and is very good at it. I was pleasantly surprised that the food portions ere as large as they were. I will send everyone I know that is visiting Manhattan!!!

We had a great time. My brother was in from out of town, and we wanted to show him some New York eating and some local history. The tour gave up both in spades. All the food was good, particularly Little Havana (we took another group of local friends there for dinner tonight even). The lag time at Centro (the least enjoyable of the samples, watermelon drizzled with balsamic) seemed a little long to me, but my brother and fiancee both enjoyed having the option for a drink and a few minutes to rest their feet. Our guide was very knowledge and engaging. We had a great time and recommended the experience to several friends. Thanks, Mike

Our guide, Sephrah, was a delight. She was extremely knowledgeable about all facets of Greenwich Village from the restaurants to the historical. She has a delightful sense of humor that made the tour fun. Each restaurant we stopped at was prepared for our visit. The tour was the right mix of restaurants, cultural, and walking with "rest stops" planned along the way. Sephrah is a "keeper" as is the Greenwich Village Cultural Tour and Food Tasing.

This was my 6th tour with this company. I have gone on all of the tours with various friends and relatives. Greatly enjoyed the West Village and Soho tour. There is always a great mix of food with culture on these tours!

I can't recomment this tour highly enough. The tour guide (Barri) really knew her stuff and was very friendly. It was a great way to find out about Greenwich village. We did the tour on our first day and then went back to follow up all her recommendations. The history was so interesting but , above all, the 9 tastings were amazing! We finished at 3pm and couldn't eat again that day! Great value for money. Every Brit should do it to really get to know this part of this great city.

We have heard about Greenwich Village since the 1960's but have not kept up with the changes that have occurred over the years. It is an area filled with history unique to the Village. We enjoyed the tasting experiences and the tour so much. This was a highlight of our NYC visit. Can't wait to try one of the other food tasting and culture tours offered in NYC. .

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour!

We had a great time - we were 2 sets of parents (60 somethings) with our married children (late twenties) - the six of us loved the tour for so many reasons! The weather did not put a damper on our enthusiasm. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the guide was amazing. We will all go back to the places we visited. Everyone spent time trying to figure our favorite tasting and we all had more than one. This includes my daughter who is a vegetarian and me who doesn't eat pork (I went vegetarian for the day). Our guide was very knowledgeable and it was clear that he loved what he was doing and was most attentive to us. We have all done the Chelsea Market and Village tours and this one is another great one. Thank you!

Fun, even for locals!

Even though we spend alot of time in the general area, this tour took us to places we don't normally frequent and introduced us to a new group of restaurants we can't wait to go back to! The food samplings were delicious and we weren't in need of food afterwards. The added historical information was something we never would have known if we just wandered around on our own- a great addition to the delicious food. It was a great way to spend 3 hours and we'll be looking into taking other tours from Foods of NY!

A good tour

The start of this tour was a bit awkward but once we got on the way it turned into an enjoyable few hours. There were numerous stops and the history of the market and the meatpacking district was interesting and fun. The food was good, it didn't blow me away but it was enjoyable. The stops at both Mario Bartali & Morimoto's restaurants was interesting and if you aren't usually a fine diner this might have been the nudge you needed to give it a go. The last stop for pasta was definitely a highlight. There is plenty of food provided on the tour and it is definitely good value for money. The main negative for me was the almost "educational lesson" at the end of the tour of : why and how much one should tip the food industry, which was at the end of the tour. It was not necessary and detracted from the rest of the tour which was great. It would definitely not stop me from encouraging others to give this tour a go.
