This tour was recommended to us by friends. I didn't think my husband would like it and was not going to book it. The night before we left for NY, I decided, why not - my friends were so insistent. I have no regrets! My husband REALLY enjoyed the tour! We had a GREAT tour guide, Mike was his name, and we had a fun group. This area is so full of history and the food was great. I felt like we had gone back in time, when people had to shop daily for their groceries and such. Rocco's Bakery was my favorite - just to look at the artistic pasteries was fascinating. After the tour we had lunch at the Home Restaurant which was mentioned on our tour. It was quaint, friendly and very good food. I highly recommend this tour, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

My mom and I took this tour hoping to see an inside look at Greenwich Village. We were not disappointed! Our guide, Marie, was fantastic and showed us many off the beaten path houses, restaurants, bars, theaters, etc. The food was all very good and the portions were huge for a tasting! I would definitely recommend this tour to friends and family, and will certainly try one of the other Food Tours on future trips.

My daughter and I took the Greenwich Village tour last week and enjoyed it more than I could have imagined. Our tour guide, Cindy, was fun and funny, and very knowledgeable about the neighborhood and the history of the area. It was a wonderful experience, and one we'll certainly recommend.

This is our second food tour, the first being the food tour of the Village. Both were exceptionally good. We recommend these tours to anyone who will listen. Our guide for the Chelsea tour was terrific. We felt he went out of his way to make the experience the best it could be. We want to go again!!

We took this tour based on some other reviews and were not disappointed. Our guide Barrie was very friendly and knowledgable and gave us incites and took us places we would never have discovered on our own. The food was great - don't eat before you go. This is one of the best value tours we have taken - for the price of lunch you get lunch with a tour thrown in!

My wife and I enjoyed the Chelsea Market tour very much. The tour guide was excellent mixing humor with information. The food was great and the market was fantastic. Highly recommend the tour to anyone who wants an overview of the area and the market.

Our group of four had a very enjoyable time on the food tour. We enjoyed all of the food selections and learning about the history and culture of Greenwich Village. We highly recommend this tour. We plan on returning and participating in one of the other tours offered.

This was a gift from our daughter and we did not know what to expect... BUT as soon as we met Curt we knew this was going to be fun. The tour was great ... food great ... information great .... BUT Curt was fabulous!!! We really enjoyed the format, etc of this tour. Loved seeing some of the restaurants in the area too. In fact we came back Sat and ate at two of them...I would recommend this tour to all... We sure will tell our friends visiting the city that this is a no to be missed event.

We took the tour on one of the coldest days of the year (something like minus 8 - without allowing for the wind-chill factor), yet still had a great time. The food-tasting element is more low-key than expected (a couple of bits of pizza, a rice ball, an Italian pastry and some cheese) but the informative, enthusiastic and entertaining style of our guide (Michael) - covering architecture, history and local anecdote as well as food - made it a tour to remember. We were a group of four from London and while we sometimes shivered in the biting New York temperatures (making London seem almost balmy by comparison), this was a highlight of our trip. Well worth sampling - but try to pick a warm day!

Meet the REAL New York -- DO IT!

This was a wonderful tour which was the highlight of our time in the city. Our tour guide Kurt, an aspiring actor/playwright, was just perfect. Besides getting stuffed to the brim with delicious samples, the other thing we loved was that Kurt, gave us so much info that will benefit us on every trip to New York. Not only will it save us a ton of money, but we know where to go in the Village for the best of everything! Can't wait to do a tour of a different area next time we're there. DON'T MISS IT!

The tour was very entertaining, with Kurt as our guide !! We not only tasted many different foods, but learning about some hidden gems of the Village was fancinasting!! Also learning about the Landmark area, that Jackie O had a hand in saving NYC history- and the stories about the Village- all of this was as deliocus as the food on the tour.

We enjoyed the variety of the tour which encompassed not only Italian food varieties, but a guide to the various restaurants, a history of the areas and its buildings. The tour guide was well informed and enthusiastic and this came through in her good humoured and light hearted banter which kept our interest throughout.

This tour was fantastic, it was a xmas present for my husband and he loved it. It was so informative and really fun. The food was great and I still can't believe it was only 80$ for the 2 of us....SO worth it.

liked so much the first time, went again

I first went on this tour a couple years ago with a friend from Manhatten. I enjoyed it so much that I recently went again with a friend unfamiliar with Greenwich Village. I enjoyed it all over. My only slight criticism is that perhaps limiting the group to 10 would be more comfortable. (We were 15).
