Dave did a great job at combining food, information and fun. We really enjoyed the food but the history and local information were very interesting as well. It was probably the most fun we had in NY. |

The food was great - The tour guide was terrific and the people were fun! I definitely want to go back to visit some of the restaurants. THe ravioli at Centro were the best! |

Dave, our guide was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.
All in all a wonderful experience. |

The guide was very enthusiastic and helpful about our individual needs. However,
I thought the tour could have been 2 hours instead of 3 for the content. I was hoping to learn more about how the food was made, not just tasting it. |

My friend and I meet in New York every few years... We've done the museums, the shows, the typical "tourist attractions". I went to New York University for grad school and thoroughly enjoyed the Greenwich Village experience in the late 70s. Of course, I was young, working and going to school at the time and never took advantage of the many restaurants, theatre and unique shops and services.
This tour provided my friend and I an opportunity to have fun, explore the culinary treats that are abundant in this area. The price was more than reasonable, with all that was included. Our tour guide was excellent. He kept things moving, didn't linger too long, but didn't rush us either. He was very knowledgeable about the area because he had lived there for many years. His sense of humor was wonderful (don't we all need a good laugh these days?) He was warm, thoughtful and personable. He was attentive to the needs and interests of the participants and entertained us with his many "inside" stories about the characters and the legends that embodied the village. Last, but not least, the food. Oh, the food! Just the right amount, variety and of course the best quality. I ordered some olive oil from one of the shops we visited and will return to several other of the merchants when I return to NYC. Next time I hope to bring my husband on the tour, or perhaps another one of the "Food Tours". |

My sister, from Ohio, and I, a New Yorker, wanted to explore neighborhood food stores.
The tour was all that and much, much more. History, architecture, stories, exploring along with the wonderful and unexpectedly bountiful tastings.
Our guide was charming, funny and extremely informative. He went way beyond a 'normal format' and I think everyone enjoyed his knowledge and enthusiasm.
I would take this tour again and am looking forward to joining some of the other food tours offered. |

My grown daughter and I were visiting from Chicago and thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Rajid(?) was very informative, accommodating, and sensitive to needs of his tourists. This tour combines culture, history, exercise (3-4 hours of walking), and dining (albeit standing up)...and it's worth every minute. Sure our feet were tired by the end of the tour, aching, in fact; but the food was good, company great, and we got to "know" this part of the city (SoHo/Greenwich Village) pretty well. I definitely recommend visitors (as well as locals) to one of the culinary walking tours, esp. from this tour company. We'll definitely do this again (Chelsea Market/Meat-Packing District?) next time we're in NYC. Again, you have a great tourguide in Rajid(?) our guide on October 11th (12-3 p.m.). |

We really enjoyed this tour. It was a mixture of foodie samples and information, with some NY history and interesting facts thrown in. The main ingredient, of course, was the food, and Heather, our guide, was clearly a foodie, and very informed. She was able to answer our questions easily and with humor. The food samples were great, and we tasted some things we had never had before. The neighborhood was great, too, and had a totally different feel than other parts of NY. My sister is due to visit NY soon, and I will definitely tell her about the shops and restaurants we sampled from, and even the restaurants that were described, but did not have samples from. I'll also look at food tours in other areas of NY for our next visit. Great job! Loved it! |

My husband and I were in the city for our anniversary and were at first disappointed to not be able to do a tour in conjunction with the food and wine festival. However, I'm not sure much could have topped this tour. Our tour guide, Marie, was enthusiastic and knowledgable. she was always quick to give a tip along the way. We never felt rushed, she kept us all on time and managed to herd a large crowd on a beautiful, crowded October weekend. I am already recommending it to others. thank you, |

The cultural and food tour of the central Village and SOHO was very enjoyable - for all of the members of our family. I would recommend this tour to others interested in the history of this part of NYC and "snacking" along the way. Susan - our tour guide - was knowledgable and was very sincere in sharing her love for the area and related extremely well to the individuals in the tour group. Thank you for a wonderful tour. |

This was a great way to learn about the foods of NYC and gain an appreciation for the history of this district. Our guide was well informed, easy to understand and even humorous at times. Looking forward to returning to Chelsea Market to spend more time to shop.
My recommendation: save the cookie until the end so you don't ruin your appetite for all the other goodies you will eat along the way. |

It was an interesting tour, and I will go back and try another one next time I visit NYC. It was very much a cultural learning experience, historic info with an up-close look at two of the neighborhoods in Manhatten.
I was a little disappointed in the food tasting, started out great and then tailed off at the end. I will recommend these tours to my friends though. |

My daughter and I thought our Greenwich/SoHo tour was outstanding and the best thing that we did in New York next to seeing Wicked. Our guide, Curt? (redhead, 30ish guy) made the tour a total "10". He was entertaining as well as extremely informative about the area - art, architecture, history and of course the food.
Your selection of shops and restaurants had great variety for viewing or tasting. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the total experience. Give Curt a raise!!! |
