We were very excited for this tour. We are a family of four...two kids aged 15 and 12. Our children are "eaters" who enjoy everything including ostrich meat, lobster and even alligator. This tour was so mundane! There is very little walking and a ton of standing. We sampled 7 items and the food was fine. Our guide offered very few insights and although she was very sweet...she was dull. We felt like we had paid to listen to advertisements. This tour did not meet our expectations at all. I would say that if you have a physical disability and want to go on a tour this would be good. My father has mobility issues and I would suggest he take this tour because there was not a lot of walking...although I would suggest he bring his portable stool so he could sit during the boring standing around times....sorry, my family and I were really disappointed! |

We had a lovely time on the tour with Saphia, who was very knowledgeable and great fun. The food was delicious and Greenwich Village my favourite place in NYC. We went back another evening to eat at one of the restaurants and visit Rocco's for more cannoli. |

The guide was very informative and fun. The food was superb and well presented. It was a small enough group so that everyone could see and hear and get individual attention. The choice of places to visit was well thought out and gave us a wonderful picture of the market and meat packing area of NYC. I would do it again or try a similar one in another part of the city. Starting out with a delicious cookie from Eleni''s and ending with a dish of pasta from Macelleria left us full and hoping to come back soon. thank you. |

Thank you Susan, for a wonderful afternoon! We had a great time learning about the central village and eating our way through it. I am already coming up with plans to head back to try the recommended places again! Our guide was knowledgable and lovely and the food was terrific and plenty of it. Thank you again for an amazing time! |

I received tickets to this from my best friend as a birthday gift. Originally it was supposed to be me and her , but she had a conflicting school trip so I took my mom with me. We arrived early at the meeting point (cafe del mare) and were met by a very nice and enthusiastic guide named Susan. The whole tour was more than I could have ever expected or hoped for. We had three sit down tastings (cuba, bellavitae, monte's) and three on the go tastings (focacceria, once upon a tart, joe's dairy), as well as taking in various sites and learning about the history and culture of the area. The food I was prepared to enjoy, and I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed all the knowledge I absorbed about the history/culture. I took plenty of pics so my friend could feel like she was a part of it, and I am definitely coming back again to do the tour with her. I was so pleased with the tour I actually went back and shopped at three of the stores (raffettos, joes dairy, once upon a tart) before heading back to long island. |

The food was great- there was more than enough to fill us up and it was varied. This history of the area was fun and entertaining, and I liked all of the suggestions for future things to do. Barri was a great tour guide. |

Our guide, Sephrah, was wonderful! We enjoyed all the extra bits of information about the neighborhood and the city. We never felt rushed and felt the tour was at the the proper pace. The 3 hours flew by! All the food was fantastic with the risotto and cannoli being personal favorites. I would definitely recommended the tour to any visitor or local alike looking to learn more about NYC. |

The tour guide, Berri, was tremendous. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and she provided a lot of great information about SOHO and some laughs along the way. I'm looking forward to revisiting some of the landmarks we saw as well as taking another walking tour of a different neighborhood. |

This is the 3rd tour we have done with this company, and once again, we were not disppointed. The areas we walked were beautiful & off the beaten path. We especially enjoyed Washington Square Park. The food was delicious. The only part of the tour that I could not comment about enthusiastically is our guide. Though she was good, it is difficult not to compare her to others we have had who were much better. But the tour itself is worthwhile & very enjoyable. |

This is the 2nd Foods of NY tour I have been on. They have become the one thing I must do when I visit NY to see my dtr. Even better than seeing a Broadway Play although I always do that as well. It brings the big city down to a manageable size. Love the history and of course the food. Frequently return to places we were introduced to on the tour. My dtr who lives in NYC also found it great and wants to go back to many of the places where we did tastings. The guides are very personable and knowledgeable both about the food and the history of the neighborhoods. Loved it and plan to go on another tour next time I am in town. |

I loved this tour! It was so nice to get out of Times Square/Theater District and go to this cute part of the city, which feels like a nice little community. Our tour guide, Heather, rocked!! She had the most interesting stories and tidbits of info. to share throughout the tour. The foods were delicious, too! I thought this was a huge bargain for everything we got out of it. Highly recommended! |

We had a great time on this tour. Our guide was excellent . Our only negative comment is that children should not be allowed to attend. We had a couple that had an 11 month old along, and this was quite disturbing. As we were seated in the Cuba restaurant, this baby had a smelly soiled diaper. My son was seated next to the mother, and the smell was terrible, not what you want during food tastings |

I bought the tickets for my Dad and his wife as a Christmas gift and they wanted me to go with them to make it a family event. We had so much fun (and so much food!). It was a really great time and I learned a lot of interesting little bits of information about the food, history and culture in the city. Maybe I'll get them another tour for next Christmas! |
