Foods of New York Tours

Cindy was great. Can't say enough about her knowledge of the city and her personality. I hight recomment this tour.

I bring a small group of ladies each year to New York and as always, the Foods of New York walking tour is a major hi-light. Barri was great. Each year you add something different and unique - which is greatly appreciated. We all drooled over the risoti ball (sp). It was fantastic. So was the Cookies & Cream chocolate chip cookie! If you're a foodie and want to learn a little bit about Greenwich Village this tour is perfect for you. We had Sefra as a tour guide and she was not only full of information but also hilarious! We had a little taste of several different types of food and it was all really good! It's worth it for sure!

My friend and I loved our time in Greenwich Village and returned to THREE times to restaurants that we visited on the tour. Sefera, our guide was fun, funny, informative and knew everyone along the way. We returned to Commerce for dinner and Palma on two separate occasions, once for a pre-dinner drink at the bar and once for lunch. We spent time with Chef Walter, he told us stories as we ate his delicious ricotta pie. We have told all of our friends about the culinary tour and hopefully, you will be seeing them on one of your tours in the near future. Thank you for introducing us to the uber world known as Greenwich Village.

I've lived in NYC for two decades and found the W. Village food tour to be both fun and informative. Our guide, Sephra, was very charming, engaging and knowledgeable. The food stops along the tour were more than adequate. I'm looking forward to doing another tour soon.

Our tour of Greenwich Village with Heather was so interesting and enjoyable. We learned alot about the people who have made Greenwich Village what it is today. The food was excellent. We were happily stuffed by the end of the tour. Heather's knowledge and enthusiasm make this a "must do" event when visiting New York City.

Guide was early and greeted prospective tour members enthusiastically. was very eager to help or answer any questions. The guide was professional, kind, courteous, thoughtful and considerate and very knowable about her reviews on the food, history and places we visited. Food was delicious; all restaurants on the tour were interesting and offered a good variety of the products which made them noteworthy. Not only was the food good, the knowledge I learned was valuable. Our group was friendly and congenial. When we visited the residential section of old homes I was impressed and interested in the history about each section of old homes. I had visited in New York two other times, but now I have the feel of Greenwich Village and it is good. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting New York. Something you have to do at least once in your life...

Barri, our tour guide was very informative with a great style. The food was amazing, the pace and timing was just right. I would love to spend more time in the Village, the tour whetted our appetites, on lots of levels. I would highly recommend this tour and will take another when I return to NYC. Thanks!

Traveled to NYC with wife. She was on business, I toured the city for 3 days and saw all major tourist attractions. Favorite was the walking/food tasting tour of Greenwich village. Strongly recommend tourists and even locals to take this tour. Enjoyed very much.

I fully recommend anyone with a passing interest in food and a desire to explore the cuisine rich tapestry of New York city to take on this tour around the historical and culturally enlivened area of Greenwich village. I found our tour guide was most informative and helpful and servings of food on offer from the various restuarants, pizza shops and cookie stores etc. extremely delicious. Word of warning - do not have breakfast beforehand!! Save yourself for the tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We liked it so much we booked two other tours with this company. The tour guides are personable and well-informed and have a real passion for their job. I liked the variety of different types of food for the tastings and the quantities were much more than we expected. We highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful guide . .. fun, funny & knowledgable.

Our tour guide, Curt, was worth the ticket price even if we never left out meeting place. I would highly recommend this tour, ask for Curt, to anyone. In fairness, I'll bet the the other tour guides are also special. The west Village is a unique neighborhood. The restaurants and others business are patronized by people who live there. Unlike the tourist areas, the establishment have to maintain value prices and service. I'm a born and breed New Yorker who cherishes his roots. This tour blew me away. Curt, our tour guide, was informative, clever and entertaining. The tour itself provided a great food experience. We had pizza from 2 areas of Italy. Canolli's, Gelato, Chocolate Chip cookies, Rissoto, Cheeses, Olives on and on.
