Foods of New York Tours

This tour was a great way for our family to get together as well as to learn something new about NYC, even though we are New Yorkers. Plus, the amount of food was perfect and it was nice to be able to sample so many different types of foods. We had a great time and plan to do another food tour again soon!

I booked this tour for my sisters , daughter and our mother. all of us are big foodies, we enjoyed this tour a whole lot. Our tour guide Daryl, was a hoot and very informative. so much food given we were not hungry till very late in the evevning. This was our second tour, we did the grenichvillage tour and enjoyed it as well.

What a great way to get to know more about an area of NYC while "eating" your way through the neighborhood. The guide, KerriAnn, was touring her first group after what was obvious extensive training. She was charming and informative. The tour was a great mix of history, food knowledge and wonderful samplings. We will definitely sign up for another tour on our next trip back to NYC!

Huby and I really enjoyed the tour with Curt, he was so informative and fun. We saw New York through a historic and local perspective and really enjoyed the tastings. Our stay was extented from 3 days to 6 due to the Volcano ash impacting flights home to England. We went to stay in Chelsea as a result of the tour and ate in Marcielos twice, it was divine. Curtis told us so many funny anecdotes, one about a hotel we passed when couples were often spotted at play in the windows! A mexican we met in a Chelsea bar afterwards showed us the view from the toilets at the top of the hotel on his phone (the only tall building close to hogs and heifers). He'd seen NY like us from the Empires State but explained the most amazing 360 view of the city from the expensive cocktail bar on the top floor was world class. We went and watched the Sun set there, for the $40 dollars 2 drinks cost, it was awesome. We would never have found the place had it not been for the tour. I have only been home a few hours in England but already recomended the tours to friends planing a trip! We returned to the market ate gelato and brought Sarahbeth's yummy jam home. I was worried before we set off that 3 hours walking would be too much but it really was fine, a couple of chances to sit on route and a great time that took out mind off not being able to get home.

this was the fourth food tour i've taken with this company. I keep returning with different groups- friends, family- and everyone always loves the experience. Our tour guide was fantastic-very enthusiastic and knowledgable. He made the experience great. This is the third time we were wowed by Food Tours of NY. We are local NYC & NJ-ians who know the city and are thrilled to go on excursions with this company. Initially, a group of women friends joined Todd on a cloudy January day to discover hidden treasures in The Village. Next, we brought the guys with us to learn about Chelsea Market. Last week we went back for The Village and SoHo. We were given a recommendation for dinner after the tour which was fantastic. Listen, we are seniors who have grown up, worked in or have been entertained in NYC all of our lives and are all thrilled to join these tours. Everyone learns something every time. NY is an expensive and vast place-we love getting the low-down on the best that is out there. Kudos to Todd for selecting great places that are truly the best of old and new NYC. Can't wait to go to Chinatown and wish he was doing Arthur Avenue!! The blend of good food and NYC history are amazing. Come see NYC the right way!

Best way to get to know some unique restraurants, known by locals, which is one reason the people visit NYC.

The guide had a very good knowledge about the area. The houses and the people who had lived there. We returned to one of the restaurants and had a wonderful and nice dinner our last evening in NY.

My wife and are in our early 50's. I grew up in NY but we do not live there now. The tour of the Village and its restaurants was just as informative and fun for me as it was for her. We would highly recommend this tour for everyone.

This was my second time doing the Greenwich Village food tour. The first time I went with my girl-friend and we had such a great time that I came back again and brought my husband. Our tour guide was very knowledgable about the area and made great recommendations for the rest of our trip. We will definitely do it again next time but maybe we'll try one of the other tours! Thanks so much for providing such a fun experience.

My friend and I wanted to do something different in NY. We took the Village/SoHo Food tour. Raheem was a great tour guide, and he is very knowledgeable and fun. The restaurants that he took us to were great and the portions were generous. We are planning a trip back in the fall to actually eat at the restaurants and to visit some of the clubs that he told us about. We really had a nice day and feel that we know a little more about NY! I would recommend this tour for those in their mid 20s and up. It is not a tour for children or young adults.

This was definitely a highlight of our trip. I would not have the entire atmosphere of the area without this tour. The food tastings were excellent and diversified. Our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about the area and restaurants. I would definitely go back on my own to try some of her recommendations.
