Foods of New York Tours

We all had so much fun,,, great food tastings, lots of information.... a great experience .. and fun way to spend the morning.... we got to see and learn about a great section of NY and I will go back again on another tour. I must add that our guide Darryl was so much FUN! A must do in NYC! YUM!

The tour was awesome. Our tour guide was great and it was the highlight of the weekend. I had never been to Chelsea market and I have already recommended the tour to a friend for her trip in August. I cannot wait to do another one. It was soooooo much fun and the food was great. I am going on line now to order olive oil and cheese from the basket company.

Excellant tour. I highly recommend it. Food was delicious. We were so full that we cancelled our dinner reservations. Our tour guide was great, so knowledgeable and personable. An enjoyable experience.

This was a wonderful way to learn of the architecture, geography, culture and especially the local cuisine. Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgable, friendly and professional. The six tastings provided a wonderful cross-section of foods available in this Greenwich village neighborhood. At the top of the list were Havana and LaPalma where we hope to return for an evening of dining. We were blessed with wonderful weather for the tour, which, I'm sure helps with the overall impression. Still, we went back the next day, which was gloomy and wet, and stopped at Murray's, Rocco's and Fiacco's, filling out trunk for the ride home. Loved the tour, would recommend to anyone (and already have). We look forward to trying another tour in a different neighborhood.

Tour guide was extremely knowledgable about the area and obviously had great pride and enthusiasm for the neigborhood. The food was so good that we went back there the following night to have dinner at one of the restaurants and then recommended it to friends who arrived several days later. I learned so much and would like to do another tour whenever I return to new york.

I recommend this enjoyable tour for visitors and locals alike. Our guide, Amy, was full of information and very likable. The food stops were great and the length of the tour was just right. I hope to try another one of your delicious food tours.

OK, so this anti-tour traveler is SOLD on food tours. After a great one in San Fran, I signed my gf and I up for the Greenwich Village tour thru Foods of NY Tours. First off...the price was more than reasonable. At $44 each, it was $20 less than the San Fran tour and we ate even more (if that's possible). Our tour guide was cool - making sure we didn't feel like dorky tourists. She lives in - and has a deep love of - the Village and it showed. The places we visited were all excellent - pizza, cheese, sauteed cauliflower (amazing), cannoli, cookies, risotto balls, and vegetarian "pork" (would food the best). A total of 8 delectable tastings. And, there was just the right amount of interesting non-culinary info thrown in... I loved the Village so much that I'm canceling the Midtown hotel reservation I just made for our upcoming return visit to the city and am going to book whatever I can find in this neighborhood. I want lots of opportunities to eat an entire meal at all the places we stopped in on the tour...

This was a great tour to get a sense of the village and especially the food. The samplings were great and I felt like I knew my way around by the end of the tour. Our guide gave great information about the area. The tour was just the right length and paced slowly so you could relax and enjoy. I would enthusiastically recommend if the tour included more history of the area and covered more streets or areas of Greenwich Village. It is a must do if you are ready to explore.

The tour was simply wonderful. The food was great and our tour guide was well informed, giving us info that you wouldn't normally hear about. She was enthusiastic and really enjoyed her job, making the afternoon a lot of fun. It was the best way to explore the area. I would highly recomend this tour to anyone and would look into another tour through Food Tours in a different area the next time I visit.

Our guide, Rahim, was knowledgeable and accommodating. He gave us information about the history and highlights of the places visited, included some of the famous people who had frequented these haunts. The food and rest stops were timely. The food was tasty and the background of the sites was fascinating.

What a great way to see SOHO! Tasting one's way through SOHO and learning about it's history is a great way to spend the afternoon. Our tour guide was knowledgeable with a sense of humor. Don't plan on lunch before and maybe...a late dinner would be advised.
