Not to be missed - Marie was the best and I learned things about NY that I never knew - even though I lived here all my life!

I really enjoyed the whole experience..from the tour guide to the food tasting. I would recommend this to locals or tourists. It was such a fun event and I would do this again. Thank you!

Myself, my mother, and my mother in law came up for a long weekend March 19-22. Ages 40, 62, 67. Our tour guide, Saffra, was magnificent! She was witty, engaging, knowledgeable, and well organized. The tour pace was very do-able for all in our group. The food- I cannot even begin to say how wonderful the food was- and how much one gets through the sampling! There was at least 8-10 different locations/tastings. A very nice combination for local flavor- off the beaten path. Take this tour as early in your visit as possible to leave time to plan dinners/lunches from the tastings. Great tips on where to go/ where you'll want to stay away. We did this tour and one another day w/ another tour company and I regret the timing didn't work out for us to take both tours with Foods of NY Tours. Foods of NY Tour was EXTREMELY well planned, organized, top-notch, experienced tour. I can't say the same for the "other" tour- it did not measure up. Thanks for the memories Food of NY Tours and Saffra!

I signed up for 6 of us to do the SoHo tour. This is the 3rd we have been on. I loved the day and the tour director Susan. Very friendly, informative and very professional. I will be coming back and we all enjoyed the trip so much. We cannot wait to go into the city and visit some of the restuarants ourselves. A perfect day for a walking tour of Soho! Lovely weather and a great tour. Full of interesting information and tasting great food. We went back to one of the resturants the next evening for a wonderful dinner. I have a new favourite Mojito place too!! This was a third food walking tour for me and when i have my next bunch of visitors to stay, i will be recommending them to take one of the tours. It would be nice to get a discount though for being a return customer. Thanks again!

a little too much standing and not enough walking

A really good way to find out about an area. I travel a lot on business and this is a great way of finding those little places that the locals know about. I've done a few of these types of tours in other cities and this was definitely the best.

I purchased tickets for my husband and myself based on the recommendation of a friend--whose friend had done it. Thus, I was expecting a pleasant afternoon with my husband walking and stopping for nibbles. Our experience far surpassed my expectation! First, our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Central Village and Soho, and the tales he had to tell were most entertaining and informative. Second, the FOOD...OMG! The bolognese...the cheesecake...the empanadas and yucca...the tortellini...the smoked mozzarella and sundried tomatoes (the best sundried we have ever eaten)...the chocolate walnut tart. YIKES! Not only were we full; we also felt like the quality of the food we had was far superior to what we had expected. We have already discussed returning to three of the restaurants when we can for full meals (and we are "foodies," so if the food had not been fantastic, we would have chalked the afternoon up to a good walk through a portion of Manhattan we love). Just one suggestion: PLEASE expand your tours to include Arthur Ave in the Bronx and Williamsburg in Brooklyn. I'd be happy to sign up for both!

Love going on these food tours. Second one for our group. Very interesting and great tastings. Great way to spend the day in ny. Dianna was a great guide. Would definitely do another tour with this company.

Heather, our guide, was great. She led us for 3 hours through bustling neirborhoods and quiet side-streets...so quiet you forgot you were in Manhattan. The food tastings were awesome! A great way to explore a neighborhood I'd not been to before. And it's a lot of fun to do with a group of girlfriends.

We really enjoyed our tour and found the history to be so interesting! The food was fabulous and we tried things we may not have ordered ourselves! Our guide was fun and very informative! We thoroghly enjoyed our three hours on the tour and plan to take the Greenwich Village one next!

Our guide - Kurt - was superb. Really enthusiastic, knowledgable and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the food market.
