Foods of New York Tours

Susan our tour guide was absolutely fabulous and knew so much about the history of the neighborhoods we visited. Everything we tasted was delicious and we truly felt we had the inside track on a lot of amazing places that only locals would know about. We will definitely be back to enjoy and full meal at the places where we did tastings. This was my second food tour with your company. Both were just outstanding. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. It's a welcome break from the usual tourist sights. It's amazing what you can find when you just take the time to stop, look around and enjoy some of the city's culture and hidden gems. This was truly a feast for the eye and the palate. Not not to be missed!

My daughter and I went to NYC to celebrate her 40th birthday. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip - in fact, we went back the next day and had a wonderful meal at one of the restaurants featured on the tour. Would take it again - and highly recommend it to all.

Had a fantastic time on the West Greenwich/SOHO tour with Rajim. Went on a different tour several years ago and enjoyed it so much that we signed up for this one. Rajim has such a great personality and was so informative. Wow! And a piece of the best cheesecake - ever! I would highly recommend this tour company for those who are visiting New York and even for those who live there as they will learn a lot of history plus they will get to try some great food. Thanks again!

Raheem, our tour guide, was excellent. He is knowledgable about food, architecture and history and is very engaging and always looked out for the group's comfort. We had very good food and learned quite a bit about local history of the neighborhood and enjoyed the food at the restaurants we visited.

This was a great tour that was very informational. Whenever we come to the city we never know where to go, but after this we know a bunch of places we want to try! It was also very interesting hearing the history of the area. I just wish that we could have sat down at more places rather than standing on the street eating. The tour company should offer a tasting that is not as many places, but more time in each one.

I have been to NYC many times and only wished I knew about the Food and Culture tours before. I will make it a point to do another tour on my next visit. The price is reasonable, and is 3 hours well spent. With so much choice in NYC, this tour allows you to focus on a select few places, and gives you confidence to return to the respective area, and have a great meal. I love the Central Village area/SOHO. Raheem was a great tour guide. I hope to see him again on future tours.

I had a blast on the walking tour and it was the highlight of our trip to NYC. My mom recommended it when she came with her girlfriends and I will definitely recommend it to others as well! I loved touring the restaurants and walking around that part of the city. Excellent work and I'm excited to try one of your other tours on our next trip!

I found the tour to be fantastic. Our tour guide was awesome , she provided a lively / interesting view on the history of the markets as well as the interesting details on the restaurants and cuisines. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning more about the Chelsea Market History while experiencing the good food and conversation that comes with the tour guide.

Having been to NYC many times, I was hestitant to take the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District tour. But, I was in NYC with three friends, one that had never been to NYC and one who had visited NYC several times, but mainly to see theatre. So, we decided to explore a part of the city that we knew very little about. What a blast! Diane, our Foods of NY tour guide, was awesome. We had a great afternoon, met fun people, ate awesome food and learned about an area of the city that was new to us. We will DEFINITELY return to Chelsea Market on our next trip to NYC and we will definitely take another Foods of New York tour. If you are unsure, just do it! You won't be sorry. And, be sure to come hungry, you will not need lunch after this tour!

The tour was so much more than we expected. Our tour guide Diane was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and enthusiastic, she made the tour so much fun. All of the market stores that we encountered were friendly and seemed glad that we stopped in. All the food that we tasted was delicious. The samples were ample, in fact...not really samples, we were stuffed by the end of the tour. What they have done with the area is truly remarkable. The new High line was an added bonus. I am thankful that there are people with a vision and brave enough to fight for it. We certainly plan to do another tour in the near future. I came back to work and recommended it to everyone.

There a culinary samplings were diverse and delicious. The history of the area that was shared was greatly appreciated. I went back the next day before our departure from NYC and bought a few of the items sampled during the tour!

My brother gave me a gift certificate for the Chelsea Market tour for Christmas. We waited for the weather to get nice and went on the tour this past weekend. We loved it! Darryl was our guide and he was well informed, witty and entertaining. All the food tastings were wonderful and generous. I live in New York so I never would have taken this tour on my own. Now I hope to be able to take the rest of the food tours in the future.

This was the best way to see Greenwich Village. We spent our time learning about a small section of this big city while eating great food along the way. I will never do a normal tour again. I do want to return to some of these restaurants for more of the fabulous food!

Great tour and our guide was from the area so it helped. Food was good, but felt a little rushed at times. Overall a lot of fun. Would do another tour.
