Heather was fantastic. She was thorough and you could tell that she loved talking about the food. She provided a good history lesson of the restaurants along with the Village. This was our 4th time to visit NYC and the first time for a food tour. We are looking forward to another trip to NYC and another food tour. It was well worth the money and we got way more than enough food.

A Great Way To Get To Know the Village
Fri, Aug 14  12:00 PM mstoner48 Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
This was an experience that was actually better than advertised. The food was great and Heather did an outstanding job of making everything interesting and informative. She clearly loves the Village and the people. Her enthusiasm was contagious. What we really enjoyed was getting to see the houses behind the storefronts and all the stories about the characters who lived there. The food selection was great. Our advice is, don't eat before the tour. The whole event was well organized and the coupon book you provided has been very helpful. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Alot of fun and incredibly educational as well. Great value for money considering the length of the tour and the amount of tastings we had. Would strongly recommend this activity to anyone considering it.

the tour is interesting and the guide is fun, but the amount of food is clearly insufficient and overall it does not represent great value for money.

Great Food & History

We enjoied this tour so much we went back to two of the dinning places for dinner the next night. It is nice to get a taste of food before spending a lot of money on a dinner that might be good. Our expectation was good food , which turned out to be great food. The added bonus was the wonderful history lesson we got along as well. The best way to learn about NYC.

Best Deal in NYC

A friend of mine recommended this walking food tour, and I'm incredibly glad I decided to do it. Our guide (Susan) was a wealth of knowledge of both the area of SoHo / Greenwich as well as the establishments which we visited. I was surprised on both the quality and the quantity of food we were offered during out tour - I didn't even need to eat dinner that night! Overall I would say the combination of the value of the food as well as the great historical perspective of the area made this by far the best deal in NYC. I would definitely recommend the tour and would love to take others offered as well, such as the China town tour.

This was a great tour. I 've been on three tours now and loved this one the best. Very informative and the tour guide, Rasheem, made it very interesting. The food was incredible and plentiful. We walked away pleasantly stuffed. This is a great tour for everyone-local or tourist.

Even as a native New Yorker I found it informative. perhaps a little more local history. The guide,Cindy, was lively and entertaining. I would skip Rocco,s but perhaps that is just personal taste.

Our guide, Kurt, was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was fun and there was plenty of food. The only thing that I would do differrently is to start the tour in the meat packing district and end in the Chelsea Market. for 3 reason; 1)it would much cooler to be outside earlier rather than later 2) ending the tour with the big, delicious, but heavy cookie from the bakery would have been so much nicer than starting with it. It really would have tasted great at the end\. It was so big and filling that it was a little hard to eat all the food that came after it ! 3) I would have been more inclined to shop at the market if we had ended there. As it was, we just got on the subway. I did the Greenwich Village trip last year and loved it also. If you can't decide which to do, go with the Greenwich Village. There is a lot more architechture and history and the food was more memorable (oh ! the rissetto ball and the pizza-yum O)
