THINGS I DID NOT SEE ON MY FIRST NY TRIP
Mon, Jun 30  11:30 AM janilez Female Unspecified International Tourist(s) Group of Friends
This is my second trip to NY and I was looking for an activity that gave me a better feel for some of the neighborhoods. This fit the bill perfectly. I had read the reviews posted and decided on this tour. I loved the insiders view to Greenwich and found it a very funky neighborhood. I was happy to finally find the "Friends" apartment building on this trip. The only disappointment was echoed in some of the previous reviews. While the food tasting was a great idea and filling, this particular tour was too "bread heavy". Tastings were pizza, olive oil and bread, cheese with bread, olives and salami, thai dumpling, piece of chocolate, cookie, pizza and cannoli. Two pizza tasting were redundant-the second stop with the sicily style would suffice. I would have liked another protien (non bread) ethnic item instead. The olive oil place and spice shop where we were given a chocolate did not generate too many "Ooohs" but the cookie bakery was fantastic. I would like to try the SoHo tour next as I read it stops at PB&Co. Would like to see Dean & Deluca shop added on that tour and Pomme Frittes as well. Chinatown tour sounded good and it was listed at half price but was sold out for the period we were in town. Ovewrall, good value for the money. Informative and a dfferent thing to do in NY.

hi - really enjoyed the greenwich tour as it gave great tips, insight, and well, food! we only wished we had gone on the tour earlier in our trip so we could take advantage of the great ideas of things to do rather than our last day. will remember for next time!

Heather our tour guide was absolutely superb! We learned so much from her and we absolutely loved all the food locations that she introduced us to. In fact, we were so delighted with Rocco's Pastry Shop that we went back another day to try their wonderful New York Cheesecake. All in all our entire family enjoyed this tour from start to finish! Thanks, Brenda, Dave, Nicole and Julie

We did not know what to expect from a food tour and were delighted with the way the tour included a mixture of food, history and information about the architecture of the area. We left the tour full of excellent food and in love with Greenwich Village! Our tour guide (Natalie) was excellent Thank you for a wonderful day.

Michael was a knowledgeable, funny and sincere tour guide who loves the village (it showed). In addition to food tour, we got a historical and cultural tour. We have already recommended the tour to other friends visiting NYC and they booked.

Great way to see all the wonderful shops in Chelsea Market. Guide Kurt was, adorable and funny, also full of great info on the Market and surrounding area and how they were developed. Bring an appetite b/c there are lots of great food tastings on the tour!

Our group ranged in age from 11 to 50 & we all enjoyed the tour. We liked every one of our stops (food vendors and restaurants) and food. The tea store was our least favorite stop. We would've like to spend a little more time in the meatpacking district, but maybe we saw all that there was to see. It was a unique part of NY that we wouldn't have otherwise visited or learned about. Our tour guide (Ed) was easy to hear and knowledgeable.

Being a relocated New Yorker, we just love our visits back to the City. This tour was the BEST!!! Cindy, our guide, was animated and interesting. The food stop choices were perfect. Would highly recommend!

Fun Food, Interesting Area, One Hour Too Long
Sun, Jun 29  11:30 AM LaurieSemke Female 50-59 Combination Group of Friends
The food was great, the guide organized, the neighborhood interesting. The pace could have been faster and the extraneous, non-food information drastically reduced for a more quickly paced and food-centered tour.

Liked Heather, she is great! but the tour itself is not that great~~~ too much advertising for restaurants. The food was good, especially the pizza :) A stop at an ice cream place would be great in the hot summer !

Loved It!

My husband and I are total foodies and I am an enthusiastic cook and lover of all things food, so I took ridiculously copious notes during the tour. I loved the mix of culture, history, architecture and recipes - I have already recommended the tour to many friends (my boss is planning to take his wife) and hope to come back and take another one of your tours in the future. We live in D.C. so are not far away. Marie was our tour guide and very fun, interesting, patient and knowledgeable, willing to answer questions and chat with everyone, while keeping us on an efficient schedule. It was my husbands'/my anniversary and I can't think of a better way to have spent the day, enjoying the great food and atmosphere. What an innovative tour idea - thank you for the opportunity.

Great guide, mediocre food.

After having gone on the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Tour and raved about it for months, the Greenwich Village Tour was a bit disappointing. While the guide was very interesting and full of neighborhood anecdotes, the food was not on the same level as the previous tour. The line-up of food was a bizarre combination -- we had pizza, followed by several combinations of bread/dough/starch with something on it or in it, followed by pizza again. Nothing stuck out as being really stellar and delicious. Having lived in the Village for two years myself, I know there are a multitude of culinary gems to be had -- it's a shame that the tour didn't partake in any of them.
