about the different areas of New York. I have recommended this tour to two of my friends who are coming in March. We thought this was the most memorable part of our recent New York visit. Two from New Orleans

Great Food and Cultural Experience

Our tour guide (Sephra) was very knowledgeable and fun!! The choice of restaurants and shops selected for the tour were excellent -- the samplings were great and the right amount for the walking tour...it was exciting to see the sites and the residences around Greenwich Village as well! This tour is highly recommended to anyone who wants to experience the culture and food of a historical neighborhood!

My husband and I live in Hoboken and our family roots are in NYC metro area. We thoroughly enjoyed all the great information about the history of the area. We feel as though we now discovered a new area to go out to dinner!

The tour guide was extremely funny and friendly. She provided great history and interesting stories to the Meat Packing District. Further, the food was amazingly tasty which we enjoyed a lot.

Tasting the REAL New York City- One bite at a time
Sun, Feb 14, 10   11:00 AM glange Male 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
This was the best way to experience foods the locals love, and learn a little history along the way. Our guide, Amy, was full of fun facts about the city, the people who live there, and "hidden treasures" in Greenwich Village. Our tour focused on Italian foods and it was all amazing. Appetizers, main dishes and desserts! We tried a variety of foods from locally owned shops and restaurants--a full meals worth by the end of the tour--and each tasting was better than the one before. At one restaurant, Palma, the chef even came outside and met privately with our group to tell us about his dish. We can't wait to go back to NYC and try another tour!

A delightful and delicious experience!

The tour started with food and ended with a wonderful penthouse view of Chelsea. Both my wife and I were delighted with the food, tour guide, tour comapanions and overall experience. We hightly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see a unique part of NYC. The food was delicisous and varied. Since we both have sweet tooths we enjoyed the cookies, jam etc as well as the other appetisers. The tour kept our interest, it balanced eating with history and touring and sitting with walking. We both recommend it for anyone though we don't think children under 15 would enjoy it.

Great time on a very cold Valentine's Day
Sun, Feb 14, 10   11:00 AM yflowers Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
My husband and I traveled to New York for a romantic Valentine's Day weekend. Back home, DC had experienced the worst snowstorn ever recorded. Needless to say, we were excited to get away. Despite the below freezing temperatures, our tour guide really knocked this one out the park! The tour was rich in content from both a cultural and food tasting perspective. Although we had traveled to New York several times in the past, we learned about some of new York's best "off the beaten path" attractions.

It was amazing, especially because the tour guide was great. He was enthusiastic and I learn many new things. The food was enough and in a great ambiance.

TASTY FOODIE "PORN"!

THE NUMBER OF LOCAL NYC RESIDENTS AND RETURNING TOURERS SAYS IT ALL! The tour guide was very friendly, knowledgable, and went to great lengths to ensure that everyone had a good time. The restaurants we visited provided tasty treats, showing a broad brush of "village cuisine". From a traditional Portuguese soup to empanadas and the BEST RICOTTA CHEESECAKE WE HAVE EVER EATEN!!!! (at Bellavitae) to minutes old smoked mozzerella, this tour had a little something for everyone. In the end, we came away plesantly full and armed with a list of restaurants to return to and fully experience. Despite the cold weather, it was a GREAT TIME! Well worth it. Three hours was a perfect way to spend an afternoon--not too long, not too short. Thanks to Susan the tour guide!

Go on this tour! There were five of us in our group and we all thought it was great, even our 10 year old! We went back to one of the restaurants a few nights later for dinner. Raheem was a great guide! The food was great and the information was excellent! If you like food and New York, you'll enjoy this tour.

My wife and I have been to NYC a number of times and were a little concerned about something so "touristy". But it turned out to be an excellent use of time as well as fun. The food was very good, but the history was even better.

My husband and I had a fabulous time on the Greenwich Village food tour. The food was delicious and the guide was great. We learned so much about the area and can't wait to go back on our own to revisit some of the places. We had a blast!

A great non-touristy way to see the city!

This was my second time on the Chelsea Market tour, because I had to make sure my family from out of town had this fantastic experience! With a tour from Foods of New York, you can always count on an experienced guide who often doubles as a comedian and a foodie. I always learn so many interesting things about the city that I already thought I knew so much about! Oh, and I haven't even gotten to my review of the food.... AMAZING (and quite filling) tastings from places that were previously unknown to me, but now are staples for a night out, or grocery shopping (depending on the venue). I enthusiastically recommend this tour, and all of the others from Foods of New York.
