Foods of New York, Greenwich Village Tour

This is a fantastic tour! A great introduction to one of the most distinctive New York neighborhoods. After visiting the "big city", it's great to get an intimate look at how some of the people actually live. Our guide was extremely personable, and provided insights that are simply unavailable any other way. My husband and I took this same tour a few years ago, and although the neighborhood was the same, the tour was completely different. Our first tour was during a weekday which permitted greater access to the interior of more stores. However, our guide for the second tour seemed to know more of the residents, and they were able to provide a greater insite into the uniqueness of the area. Some of the stores were the same, some different, a reflection of the constantly evolving neighborhood and tour evaluations. All in all, we'd certainly do it again, and we look forward to taking additional tours through this organization.

My daughter and I enjoyed the walking tour very much. We both feel we'll come back to enjoy several of the restaurants over the years. I liked the historical information as well. We agreed that the guide, although she was certainly delightful and conscientious as well as informative, lacked a sparkle that we've enjoyed using a Big Onion Tour where the guide was a PhD student full of enthusiasm, exhibited a personal interest in the guests, and was delighted to share additional information as needed. But we'll definitely be back over the years to use your tour service. Thanks.

I took this tour for the first time 3 years ago with my girl friend and enjoyed so much that I knew when my husband and I were going to be visiting NYC, that I had to take him on the tour too. It was just as enjoyable the second time and worth every cent! I tell everyone I know that if they are visiting NYC that they have to take the tour.

Michael was an excellent guide. He sprinkled in just enough history between tastings and about the restaurants. The food was very good. We also enjoyed the free wine tasting after the tour was over. I highly recommend this tour.

Having been to NYC many times before, I was looking for something different. My friend recommended the tour, and it completely lived up to my expectations. The food was delicious-- and getting to have tastes of everything is the way to go! ....But my brother and I thought the best part was learning about the Chelsea Mkt, and area. We look forward to returning in a few years and seeing how much it has changed! Our tour guide Wendy was an added bonus-- her animation and humor really brought the tour to life! Thanks oodles!

We were given more food than I expected (loved all your choices), tried some things I had never tasted before and appreciated it when our guide shared so much information about the area's history and give us specific details that made the buildings and people come alive. We had 12 people in our group and even though it worked, I would have liked to have been in a slightly smaller group - like 8 to 10 people. I am still sharing details about the tour with my friends and family. Hope to come on your tour during our next trip.

Cindy was the reason this tour was so good. She talked about what is happening now around Chelsea Market area and the places we were seeing in addition to talking about the history of the area. She was great!

I took the Greenwich tour a few years back and really enjoyed it, so I figured I'd try this one. It was fantastic! The guide was knowlegeable and entertaining. THe chosen vendors were very good, the area was perfect. I thought the tour was definitely worth the ticket price- food servings were generous- I like the Lobster bisque! Thank you!

very interesting building and history of past and recent development and neighbourhood food selection focused too much on sweet things--luncheon selection at buon italia was pedestrian and unsatisfying. there was a sufficient quantity of food just not a balanced selection and not sophisticated enough--this is after all billed as a food tour and i (along with my friend) came away with no new knowledge Tour guide very pleasant and knowledgable

Went on the tour Christmas week with friends from England, and we all had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, the information was presented in a fun, interesting way, and we had plenty of time to ask question and take photos. We are already planning to take the Chelsea tour this group also offers, and have plans to go back to some of the restaurants on the tour. Just make sure that if you go in winter your dress warmly! Our tour guide was Bari- she was a font of information about the area. All in all, a great day. If you are a foodie or want to become one, take the tour.

My husband and I took this tour while on a short holiday in NY. We have visited the city before, but found this activity a great way to see parts of the city we had not seen before as well as try some great food from local vendors. We highly recommend this tour.

We enjoyed the Greenwich Village Food Tour on our recent visit to New York. The guide was informative not only about the restaurants we visited, but also the historical and architectural aspects of the area.
