| I learned so much about Greenwich Village as a neighborhood. I enjoyed the food tastings, which were a generous amount. I liked walking to the many stops on the tour. Learning a little bit about the history of the people that made up the village, the houses they lived in and the foods they ate was very interesting. Our tour guide Barry was excellent and very knowledgeable. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the tour. I would highly reccommend this to others who like the city and who enjoy walking and eating. It was a great time . I would look into another one for another time. | ||||||

| Visiting NYC for the weekend from Boston, my husband and I wanted to do this tour - to get a sense of the history, culture, and architecture of Greenwich Village. This was one fabulous tour and absolutley surpassed our expectations!! Our guide, Suzie, knew her stuff - both in terms of the local merchants, local history, and the 'Who's Who' of some of the precious gems of the Village and she is an excellent storyteller. But above all - the food stops - restaurants and deli's were outstanding!! It is essential to be hungry when you start this tour because in the course of the stops - you certainly eat more food than one would in an average meal. In fact - even though we wanted to have dinner at one of the restaurants Sat night - - we did not even eat dinner that evening! But on Sunday - we knew right where we wanted to go. I am sharing these discoveries with only my closest friends. We purchased one sausage at the meat market we had visited and most certainly should have purchased more! This tour is fun, informative, a great value - and absolutley delicious!!! A gem in itself~ THE perfect way to spend 3 hours on a saturday. Highly recommended! Thank you!! | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The information about the history and development of the neighborhood was very interesting. Our guide gave great tips on local food establishments including bargain buys on the menus. We had several people in our group who lived in the area and were taking the tour to get a better idea of the local restaurants and recommendations. We had eleven different food samplings from different restaurants ranging from a slice of pizza to mushroom risotto to a three cheese sampling to french desserts. The three hours flew by. My biggest recommendatoin would be if you are visitng NYC for several days, book the tour during your first day or two.... We waited until the day before our trip ended and weren't able to put our new information to use. Had we had more time we certainly would have tried several of the restaurants we visited. | ||||||

Another Hit!

| This was my third food tour. Having thoroughly enjoyed the West End of the Village tour and the Chelsea Market tour, I was confident that this tour would follow suit. I think this might even be my favorite food tour. Susan was our tour guide and my favorite of the three guides. As the Chinese and Japanese tours don't interest me, I saddened that there aren't more for me. If you expand, I'd be interested. You succeed in welcoming a stranger into the intimacies of a neighborhood. I have returned many times to these neighborhoods and have introduced other friends to the wonderful eateries, shops and bits of history that you introduced me to. As I know many people who don't often venture to NYC because it seems an overwhelmning experience to them, I recommend your food tours. | ||||||

Fun Way to Learn History & Enjoy A Bit of Food

| Our tour guide Susan couldn't have been more knowledgeable and friendlier. This tour is great because it combines a lesson in history with a bit of the local food thrown in as well. Although we did not go very far -- we stayed within a 6 block radius -- we did walk around quite a bit and we were certainly tired at the end of the day. Sampling food from 7 different establishments that I'd never been to before (even as a local) was delightful. My sister and I took our mother for her birthday and she loved it. I am looking forward to trying another Foods of NY tour in a different area... perhaps Chinatown next. Thanks for a great day! | ||||||

| This was the second time I went on the tour of Greenwich Village. The first time was with 4 Adult woman with their 4 college-aged daughters; the second was with my husband and another couple. Both times were just great. Tour guides were extremely knowledgeable about the food, area and local history and added their personal experiences to the tour. The restaurants differed little from the first time, but the experience felt new. The food was great. The owners of the restaurants we visited made you feel like they were happy to see you and feed you! I have been on the SoHo tour as well and although the food was very different, the history and experience were just as good. Heather was our tour guide and she seemed genuinely happy to be entertaining you! I would highly recommend this tour at any age. If you are not from New York City, you really get a feel for how it is to live there.. Just a genuinely fun day.... | ||||||

Fantastic Fun Food & Facts at Chelsea Market

| The Chelsea Market tour is the perfect tour for foodies who don't like to "do tours". Our guide Diana was marvelous. She was animated, knowledgeable and most noticably PROUD of her city - specifically this area. It is a fast paced 3 hrs that you won't soon forget. My friends keep bringing up their favorite moments of this trip and want to know when we can do another. The food is the ultimate icing on the cake but the history dump is equally interesting. So much info that you could never find for yourself. I had been to the market several times before but I have a huge new respect for its history. One friend and I did the original tour last year and were so impressed that we planned another visit to take a different tour. I invited 3 more friends to join us and ALL of us want to do another tour. We are planning Chinatown next. When we finish all 4 tours, I'm sure we could start all over again because it's just so much fun. People interested in this tour must know that you need to be able to stand/walk quickly for the full 3 hrs. It's well worth staying in shape to get to do this event. | ||||||

| Diana was our tour guide. She was fun and informative. The food tastings were remarkable! Go hungry and you will not leave hungry! The tasting portions were very generous. The history of the market and meat packing area was interesting. I would definitely return to the area. This was my third tour with this company. Each tour included excellent guides and was well worth the price. | ||||||

| Our guide, Diana, was awesome! She is full of historic facts and makes it fun to hear about the origins of the Chelsea Market building. She always had us laughing! It seems she enjoys the tour as much as we all did! Lots of great food, great vendors, and fun! Would definitely recommend it! | ||||||

Perfect Way to Spend My Birthday

| I spent my 61st birthday on a tour with Darren (guide) and my son, who lives in NYC. We had great fun. Darren was knowledgeable, considerate, personable and efficient. I enjoyed learning about the rich history of the area as well as the background of its present day tenants. We very much enjoyed the frequent samples and tastings as well as the special attention they gave my special dietary restrictions. I am looking forward to going on another food tour when I am back in the city again, hopefully this spring. Keep up the good work!! | ||||||
