We enjoyed the tour, especially the architectural and historical details. Sometimes almost too much information about places we only passed by.

My wife and I, and two friends attended the tour on 11/1/10..It was exceptional from start to finish. The enthusiasm of the guide , and the historical information he imparted was impressive. We learned a great deal about Greenwich village, and the food we tasted from about thirty different venues was exquisit. I would strongly recommend this tour. John Robson

I have lived in the US for 2 years, coming from England originally; this tour is worth every penny; you get an insight into the area, the local businesses and restaurants, get to try some amazing food, of which I want to return to each location; tour guide is amazingly knowledgeable on 'everything' and because of all the different foods you try you don't need to buy lunch afterwards ... I am recommending this tour to anyone that will listen. Enjoy.

We loved the tour of Chinatown, especially the duck. We will be going back to some of the places recommended on our next trip to NYC.

Great introduction to Greenwich Village

Three Brits and one from Pennsylvania. Even though two of us had lived in NYC, we none of us knew the Village. Knowledgeable & personable guide introduced us to a variety of tastes, history and architecture. Kept us interested even on a very cold day.

We participated in the Greenwich Village Tour in early January. Our guide was a local resident of the area, and her passion for the neighborhood, its local merchants, and its historic significance was evident and contagious. The food tastings were plentiful, enough for a meal, but better than that, they were of exceptional quality and often unique to the restaurant or shop visited --- that allowed the group to have tasting experiences we likely would not have discovered on our own. The restaurant & shop owners/staff were all extremely accommodating --- we purchased items from some that day, and will absolutely return for additional dining & shopping experiences in this part of the city. The pace of the tour was good, the tour length was fine (even though it was chilly, the 3 hours actually seemed to fly by), and the variety kept everyone's interest. All in all, a terrific experience and an excellent value. We will take advantage of other tours this company offers.

I had a fabulous time on the Greenwich Village food tour this past weekend. Our tour guide, Amy, was very informed and very friendly. Although it was a chilly day, she did her best to get us inside at many of the locations we stopped at. The food was amazing at and I will definitely be back to visit each restaurant/shop we tasted on the tour, as well as the others she pointed out. I also thoroughly enjoyed the cultural and historical aspect of the tour, as I love exploring new cities and learning about what was once there. I definitely plan on booking another food tour next time I am in New York!

We thoroughly enjoyed our food walking tour. Although the weather was frigid (especially since we are Floridians), the movement and the in-and-out nature of the tour kept us comfortable. Our guide also sought the sunny side of the street whenever possible. His tales of the neighborhood and former residents enhanced the experience for us. The food was tasty and plentiful (we wished we had eaten breakfast earlier or not at all). We appreciated the handout with all of the places and others in the area that we did not visit very much - it will be easy to visit again or try something new from this list. It was fun, interesting, and we learned something!

My younger sister did a similar tour last summer and recommended a new york city food tour. My group and I thoroughly enjoyed this event. Our tour guide (Raheem) was such a food lover, so enthusiastic about everything he was saying it might have made the food even more delicious. I can't imagine having any other tour guide. The food was delicious, the time in between tastings was perfect (you actually get full). Perfect number of bathroom breaks, the free water was very appreciated. Our tour guide even had napkins!! I am planning on going again this spring.

My fiance is not very fond of going to the city, (from NJ) but he enjoyed himself! Despite the weather, this was a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Our tour guide's enthusiasm made the difference.

I learned of Foods of NY through the New York Chamber of Commerce so I thought the tour would be a good bet. A fun time. We tried different foods and we liked hearing the stories behind them and the businesses that sold the food. Also liked that our guide told stories about the neighborhood and wasn't soley focused on the food.

The tour guide was great. She was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the area. The food was great I enjoyed everything I tasted. She pointed out many things I would have just breezed by if she didn't stop to slow us down. More then enough to eat for lunch . I would highly recommend this to others.

A Great Idea

While we live in NJ, we have attended school in Manhattan (NYU and Columbia) and have lived and owned businesses in the city. Thus, we are connoisseurs of all the city has to offer. Nonetheless, when my daughter wanted to "stay in the city" while she was home from school, I searched for fun new things to do in the city. I found this tour and it seemed unusual, light and fun. Throughout the tour, our daughter kept saying, "I wish we did this ten years ago. We could have visited all of these restaurants ten years ago!" At those moments, I thought, "me too. We have been on these streets dozens of times. But we didn't know about this restaurant or this particular specialty". I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants a fun, light event in NYC; for anyone that loves good food; and even for locals that want to know about the best restaurants in NYC.
