My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The first two hours were spent in the Chelsea Market learning about a number of the vendors and about the person who started the market, and eating wonderful food. Diana was a marvelous tour guide. Her knowledge of the market, the building, and the area was presented with a sense of humor that made her tour more than just a recitation of facts. We enjoyed the Chelsea Market so much that we went back a couple of days later and bought food for a picnic lunch. I heartily recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys good food and learning about a very interesting neighborhood. |

Rasheem was very knowledgeable, and didn't pretend to be an expert on what he didn't know. He was personable and cared that you enjoyed the experience.
We got to taste REAL WASABI!
The courses are small but filling and numerous.
Definitely get only 1 serving of the optional drinks including 1 beer and 2 sakes. Unless you are a heavy drinker, 1 serving is more than enough to split between 2 people.
Rasheem went through a LOT of information, all of it captivating and all things I'm glad I learned, but it did feel like the tasting could have been extended to 3 hours without a problem. We did start maybe 15 minutes late, but even so it could have been at least 30 minutes longer.
Overall an experience unlike anything I've ever had before in a restaurant. |

We were a group of friends from Sweden, visiting New York for the first time. The Greenwich village tour, showed us an another side of New York, beside the traditional "must-se". It was a fantastic tour, and we had a fantastic great guide, Safra, who was funny, intresting, generous and intelligent! And the food - mmm....marvellous!
I can warmly recommend this tour, if you want to know a little bit more about this neighbourhood and itīs history which is strongly connected to itīs food and, of course, if you enjoy eating really good food!
Thanks! |

I frequently make evening visits to Greenwich Village for the jazz clubs, and I walk (no taxi or subway). I thought I knew the area, but I was happily surprised to learn much more. The guide knew her subjects well: food and the Village. She kept things moving at the right pace for our group, and spoke clearly and as loud as was required. We plan to return to this or another tour in a few months with our adult children. |

Our child of 20 years old enjoyed it as much as my husband and I . Our Tour guide was wonderful. I forget her name but her email was something like Sephora. Our tour was at 1230 in Greenwich on 3/6/10. We will definitely do it again next time when we are in NYC.

Had a great time. Grew up in New York and lived in East Village 20 years ago. This was such a fun tour and I learned things I never knew. Great food. Great history. A must for tourists or native New Yorkers! |

This is our third tour, each different and each delightful. We would do this again any time and recommend to everyong. The insight to neighborhoods, history references, wonderful food, and "treasure map" of other places to try are invaluable.
Thanks and see you next trip.

Very pleasant, relaxed experience and so informative!
Not too much walking, not rushed. We were introduced to restaurants we'd like to return to in the future.
Would do this again for another neighborhood. |

We were part of your E.Village and Soho tour last Saturday.
I have not stopped talking about what a great time the 5 of us had.
The exuberance of our tour guide-the facts we learned- the food we tasted were all enjoyable. Even the weather cooperated!
You can't ask for more for your money-We look forward to trying another one soon! |

I had friends in town and wanted to do something different with them. I'm so glad we decided to do the Greenwich Village food tour! We all had a blast! Our tour guide was awesome! She was very informative and we learned a lot history of the neighborhood. I love all the places she took us to for the food tasting -- a good mix of different types of food . Portions were generous and we were full by the end of the tour. Can't wait to check out some of the restaurants the tour guide recommended! I highly recommend this tour to local people as well as visitors. I'm looking forward to checking out the different tours they offer~ esp when my other friends and family are in town! |

.... in so many ways. 1. Heather was an enthusiastic guide with a real depth of knowlege of the Village and the eating establishments we visited as well as those we passed by. She appeared anxious to share her adopted home with us while also demonstrating interest in our desires and reactions. 2. The food was fabulous and fun. Each tasting experience offered something delightful and different . 3. We experienced and learned about the Village in a special way that we could not have accomplished on our own.
We plan to return with friends to take the tour again later in the year .... sure hope Heather is our guide again. |

Tour guide was energetic and animated. really enjoyed her work and was knowledgeable beyond the basic tour.
Food samples were great. My wife liked the catfish sandwich at the end of the tour but it was a little exotic for my plain taste buds.
Really liked seeing Del Posto and Morimoto's restaurants. Could you guys set up a sampling tour to some of the Iron Chef's restaurants?
Any way to get a tour of the Kitchen areas above the Chelsea Market? Maybe have one of the Chef's give a talk?
Overall, a great tour and a wonderful way to see Chelsea Market.
Five Stars for the tour and the tour guide.

Took the Greenwich Village Tour in 2005 and loved it. Wondered if this might just be a straight repeat, but still felt it was worth going. We were delighted to find both old favorites and new places to see on the current tour. Marie, our guide, was so good.
We've also previously taken the Chelsea Market and Central Village/SoHo tours, and look forward to repeating those also! |
