Since this was our first "Foods of NY" tour, wasn't sure what to expect. Our tour guide was excellent and very informative. Next time we're in NYC (which will be in the warmer weather) we are definitely gonna try the other tours ! |

There were six of us visiting New York for my wife's birthday and we were looking for something different to do. My wife heard about the walking food tours and suggested that it might be a fun thing for our group to try. Well, she was right. Everyone in our group loved it. We did the three hour Central Village/SOHO tour.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job showing us around. We stopped at seven different locations for food tastings. We sampled everthing from soup to main course dishes to deserts. Everything tasted good and everyone in the group felt full by the end of the tour. We also stopped at other interesting and historic places in these neighborhoods.
To keep this very short, I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the city. |

Raheem, the tour guide, was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge of the culinary cuisine and history of SoHo/Village restaurants. Were able to make about 7 stops with a variety of foods and cultures, without being rushed. Best part of all, I was able to purchase a wool hat made in Tibet(very cold that day) while putting down hickory smoked mozzarella and a handful of homemade sausage! |

We have been on a few Foods of NY tours, and this was by far the best. Our tour guide was a true foodie, but wasn't a food snob...which is hard to come by. He was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food, the restaurants and the surrounding area. We have already made reservations to return to two of the places on the tour. |

We had a great time on our food and cultural tour. If it weren't for the cold it would have been perfect. I would recommend not going in the middle of winter as I did, but the tour guide was still extremely informational and peppy. She was well rounded in her knowledge of the subject matter, and had personal tips that were useful as well. We loved the tour, and we plan to go again in the spring. |

I took my mother on this food tour and we were pleasantly surprised that it was much more than just a food tour. It was really a history lesson on the village. We both live uptown and don't know Greenwich Village well enough to really take advantage of its amenities. Our guide was very knowledgeable about not only the specific food, but the community, the history, the architecture, and the local establishments.
I was impressed with the amount of food we were offered! I was expecting a few bites here and there, but I left full as thanksgiving dinner! Having the directory at the start of the tour was helpful because we marked off places and made comments as we went along to help us remember on a future trip. Despite the cold weather, we really enjoyed ourselves.
If I could make a couple suggestions to improve the tour, it would have been nice to get time throughout the tour to actually purchase items at the shops. I know the tour is 2.5 hours, but if there is a way to bake in an extra 20 minutes to allow the group to shop, it would have really added to the experience. I could have brought home the experience to my wife! I guess I'll just have to go back on my own time - which I suppose is the point!
I really appreciated the history lesson too. Just last night I was out to dinner with friends and impressed them all with some fun facts about the village! |

My husband and I left the tour half way through it (1.5 hrs). The tour was great, along w/the tour guide. I liked the sampling of food and restaurants that I otherwise would not have. The weather was too cold for us to remain outside. However, I do plan on rebooking the tour next time I am in NY. |

We were a couple with an adult child with us, and knew it was likely to be cold, but dressed appropriately, (with handwarmers!), and thoroughly enjoyed not only the familarizing of the area, but loved the sampling of many various foods. At one stop, we had the opportunity to sit down and even enjoy a glass of wine and warm up! Our tour guide was "Dave", and you felt like he was a friend just showing you around .It was a very relaxing, and indeed, provided plenty of food. I had been on a tour of another area through this same group a few yrs ago, and must say I enjoyed this area of Greenwich village even more so. However the first time I had nothing to compare it to, so enjoyed it immensely as well. I highly recommend the food tours as a great ,and most tasty way, to learn about NYC!! I will do another one the next time I come. |

What a great way to explore a neighborhood! The tastings were wonderful, and a good range of flavors and cultures. I tried 3 things I would never have normally eaten...I embraced the vibe. Next time I am in NYC I will definitely be doing one of your other tours and have already told many friends about you. Barri was a patient, knowledgeable and entertaining guide! |

The price is right for this wonderful afternoon. I brought my daughter as part of her birthday celebration weekend and we were not disappointed! Our guide Barri was filled with knowledge and enthusiasm and the places we visited were very welcoming and delicious. I work in NYC so I am there every week and now I have a long list of wonderful dining experiences to share with clients and guests. This tour is great not only for tourists but for locals who want to know what is available to them. This was my second tour in 5 years and this one was very different from the other one. I would highly recommend it! |

We attended the Chelsea market and meat packing tour our guide was Bob and he was a complete star, he made us feel very welcome and was a fountain of knowledge on the local area you really need to go hungry because the food tasters dont stop coming.
I would highly recommend this tour it gave us an insight into a part of NYC we would probably not have tried. |

Cindy was excellent as she not only knows the geography but the people as well. I thought that the event was priecd appropriately as you see much of that part of the Village and have access to the kitchens and the people that run the businesses. My sister had gone on this tour as well as the Chelsea market tour and highly recommended as do my wife and I. |
