| My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The guide was very friendly and knowledgable about the village and the food places we visited. The three hours passed quickly and we were treated to some very tasty treats. This tour was a great way to see the village and learn more about it! | ||||||

Enjoyed but the group wasn't "like minded"

| I was a single person that ended up in a group that was approximately 18 people - 14 of which were a bachelorette party. I would have preferred if the bachelorette party had been its own tour and could have enjoyed themselves independently so that those of us that were foodies could have gotten a bit more out of it. The tour guide did the absolute best he could, but the bachelorette party was a bit hard to contain and most of them weren't all that interested in the "foodie" aspect of the tour. The quanity and quality of food was more than adequate for lunch and very tasty. The guide was very knowledgeable and I liked the fact that he took us into a couple of the local restaurants in the area and he described the history and meals from these spots. | ||||||

Great way to spend an afternoon in NYC

| This is the second activity I've booked with FoodTours (the first one was the Soho/Central Village tour this past October), and once again, I was extremely pleased with my tour. Our guide Marie was fantastic and made sure that everyone had a wonderful time. Being a local NYC resident, I was pleased to hear that my sister, who was visiting from Oklahoma, really enjoyed the tour as well, both the food tastings and history. I highly recommend either the Greenwich Village or Soho/Central Village tours for anyone looking to spend a fun afternoon in NYC. | ||||||

Informative Tour

| Our tour guide was Marie. We found her to be informative and knowledgable of the Greenwich Village area. She had a wealth of facts and dates. What was missing was the lack of information of the 60's era which we would have found more interesting. The food itself was quite good except for pizza at Bleeker Street Pizza which was greasy and tasteless. All the other food stops were interesting and good. Recognized many sites from movies and shows. Overall, the tour and guide were exceptional. | ||||||

Excellent tour of both food and area's history

| The combination of restaurant visitations and insight into the history and development of the Greenwich Village area was outstanding. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and experienced with the tour. Despite the very hot and humid day, we were all very pleased with our experience and are looking forward to visiting some of the restaurants that we "tasted" in the near future. We will be sure to take some of the other food tours in future years. | ||||||

| My wife and I knew someone that went on this tour and enjoyed it so we wanted to give it a try. We really enjoyed the tour, our guide Dave did an excellent job. The food was very good and we were both quite full by the time the tour ended. In fact, we visited one of the restaurants yesterday that was one of the stops on the tour. My wife and I are going to try some of the other tours offered the next time we are back in town. | ||||||

| The food tour met all my expectations: adequate food sampling, interesting and very knowledgeable guide. I really enjoyed both the food and historical facts of the West Village. Yes, I would definitely recommend this tour to others. | ||||||

| A fun and well organized introduction to the village. Plenty of food with a nice assortment of selections. We are serious food and wine people, so we would have appreciated more depth and detail, with a chance to talk with a business owner or two, just to get their perspective, or a personal story. My wife and 14 year old daughter really loved it, and we would definitely take another Foods of New York tour. Well worth the cost. MB | ||||||

| This tour was great!! Our guide, Heather, was extremely nice and interesting. The food was amazing. Do not eat anything before this tour. You get more than you can eat. The neighborhood is right out of a storybook. Overall, great experience!!! | ||||||

| My husband and I recently spent five days in NYC and took in a ball game, museums, Broadway plays and a trip to the Apollo Theatre. Included in our sight seeing plans was a three hour tour of Greenwich Village and the prominent food spots including food and wine stores and restaurants. It was one of the highlights of our stay and compelled us to return to the area for a dinner, gift shopping and desert. The tour guide was informative and energetic and made it a geat time. We would reccommend this tour to anyone interested in good food and the history of New York City. | ||||||

| I highly recommend this tour. The food was fantastic. The tour guide was knowledgeable about the neighborhood and was very entertaining. I thought a three hour walking tour would seem long, but it absolutely flew by. I plan to take this tour again when I return to NYC. | ||||||

Excellent way to get to know a neighbourhood

| Kurt, the tour guide, was very personable, fun and full of facts. It seemed like he lived in the neighbourhood and his talk did not seem rehearsed. The food was great and there was plenty of it! I would say you need more walking (to work some of it off). I loved that it wasn't just about the shops but about the neighbourhood and we got to see things that we wouldn't have noticed or explored in any other kind of tour. I come to NYC all the time and try different tours - this was one of my favourites. Easy, comfortable, fun, tasty, an excellent way to spend a few hours. | ||||||

| After hearing about this tour from a friend, we decided to check it out. We were looking for a way to sample different foods that New York was known for. Our tour guide was exceptional and her enthusiasm and knowledge really made the tour fun and informative. We visited many different shops and she knew all of the store owners by name and we got to sample many different types of food. If I had one criticism, it was that there were too many desserts, and not enough local New York type dishes. I was expecting to walk away from this tour full, but I was only somewhat satisfied. More "main course" dishes would have been appreciated. I would still wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone who want to learn more about the foods of New York! You will not be dissapointed! | ||||||
