| This walking tour was one of the highlights of our recent trip to New York City. Cindy was an excellent tour guide. She was funny, knowledgeable and nice. The food samples were great, especially Bleeker Street Pizza. We loved Murray's Cheese Shop. The artichoke "fries" at Palma were to die for and it was so much fun to see their kitchen and courtyard. It was great to sit down and take a break at charming Milk and Cookies. We would highly recommend taking this walking tour. We will definitely book another walking/food tour next time we are visiting New York City. | ||||||

| My mother and a friend had recommended, so when I had a guest come visit the city with me, we signed up. Sefra (our guide) was funny, charming and knowledgable. It really helped having someone who is "into" food guide the tour rather than an aspiring something else (actress, writer, etc.). Stopped at some great places in the Village I wouldn't have found otherwise, had wonderful tidbits of food and information, and an altogether great time. | ||||||

| We loved our Greenwich food tour with Sephra. She was so knowledgable about the culinary arts, the neighborhood and made the tour so much more enjoyable. The selection of food was great and so filling. I couldn't believe how much food we ate in a few hours. The walk was reasonable with lots of stops to rest and/or go to the restroom. Perfect tour! | ||||||

Get out and LEARN about New York

| Get off the double-deck buses and get away from the tourist areas. Walk and learn about New York neighborhoods through the local restaurants. Immerse yourself in the real New York and you will get a more enriched experience. I highly recommend doing this kind of tour as the FIRST thing you do on your trip; that way you can return to a restaurant or neighborhood later on that intrigued or impressed you. | ||||||

| Had a great experience with Marie as our guide. Highly recommend this tour to others and wish we would have had time to do another. Do allow enough time to wander around the area after the tour and have lunch/snacks/shopping time at some of the locations. | ||||||

| Our guide was Curt Upton and he was AWESOME. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and most of all funny & interesting. He kept everyone interested and laughing, eating and having a great time the whole time. At one restaurant we ran into another tour guide and she seemed awesome as well. Highly recommended... | ||||||

| We toured the Chelsea Martket and Meat Packing District August 2. Our tour guide was Diana. Diana was a wealth of information, facts and figures. The food was superb and received a healthy portion at each stop. The fish shop was the best in my opinion, the soups offered were exceptional and tasty. Enjoyed seeing Mario Batali and Morimoto's restaurants, although not open for service we were allowed in as part of the Foods of New York tour. What would make this better if we were allowed to see the Food Network studio in the building. Overall, an exceptional tour and with fair value and would recommend highly. | ||||||

| My tour took place on a very rainy Sunday morning on Aug. 2, 2009. Our tour host, Heather, was superb, and it was obvious that she knew the area, the restaurants, the shops and a lot about Greenwich Village. Even through the rain, lightning and thunder, her smile was constant, and it was an experience that I'll always remember. I learned a lot of interesting information, and I will most definitely take another tour in the near future, this time with my husband. We live in Connecticut, so the city is not too far away - we will return soon! Thank you for such a fantastic way to spend a few hours on a rainy day in NYC! | ||||||

great tour

| It was pouring down rain and hot, so not a great day for a 3 hour walk! Our tour guide and the places that we visited made it all worthwhile. I would strongly recommend this tour if you are interested in some history of the area and like to eat. There was plenty of both food and information. On my next trip to NYC I will book another tour like this, but early in the stay so that I can go back and explore more on my own. My teenage kids would enjoy this, but I dont think that kids under the age of 11 or so would. | ||||||

A wonderful way to discover a new area

| We thought that this would be a great way to discover a new area and get away from the tourist eateries around the Time Square area that we spent the majority of our last visit at. This tour gave us some great food suggestions to return to during our extended stay in NYC. I highly recommend doing the tour at the start of your trip if at all possible, so you have plenty of time to return to the numerous places recommended by the tour. Our guide had a wonderful knowledge of the area giving us a good mix of food tastings and history We tried a number of the different places after the tour all with equally satisfying results. A wonderful day out. Not even the rain could ruin the day. Plenty of tastings on the tour to even satisfy the fussy eater. | ||||||
