| This is my second tour-the first one was the Greenwich Village tour a few years ago. Cindy was my guide for both tours--she is both knowledgable and enthusiastic about her subject and also great fun. It really makes you fall in love with New York (even more) when you become more familiar with places where real New Yorkers live, work, play and eat!! The food was outstanding! | ||||||

| On 12/04/05, my wife and I traveled to NYC as we have many times before. She happened to see this tour on the Internet, so we gave it a try. I must say, it was pretty good! Michael, the tour guide is from the area, so he knew the spots like the back of his hand and was always smiling and upbeat (even on a cold, rainy/sleeting day)! Great little tips, interesting history, even if you have been to the city before. He really did a nice job, but give yourself the full three hours. You will enjoy yourself for sure! We are looking forward to the next tour down in Chelsea Market! The food was very good as well, as you will try many different tastes of this area. A + recommended! I thought too many of these feedbacks might be bogus, but they really aren't! | ||||||

| Unfortunately, we took this tour on our second last day in New York - we should have done it so much earlier. We fell in love with Greenwich Village and our guide MICHAEL was wonderful -so informative and enthusiastic. | I loved this tour, informative info about Chelsea area and sampling the food was great , Our tour guide was the best very entertaining and fun , loved the Chelsea Market and the history about the building and the wholesale foods there. I would recommend it to my friends. | ||||||

| We had a great time. Our tour guide, a resident, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Village. He spoke about the local legends and restaurants expertly. All the food tastings were delicious and we were full by the end of the tour. I am recommending it to all my friends. (Wear good walking shoes--you are on your feet for most of the 3 hour tour.) By the way, you don't have to be from out of town to enjoy this tour. Though I live in Boston now, I was born and raised in NJ and have been to NY many times--but I learned more on this one tour than I ever knew about Greenwich Village. | ||||||

| My husband and I took this tour on the last day of our trip, shortly before racing off to the airport to fly home, which was an error in judgment on our part. This tour demands to start off an authentic New York experience: the knowledge you gain on where to go and what to eat is crucial to getting the most out of your stay. Fortunately, we have every intention of returning to NYC as often as we can, and our first stops will be in the Greenwich Village vicinity to take advantage of the artisan cheeses, fine coffees, out-of-this-world Italian pastries, international spices and other specialties unique to this part of the world. Having started off my cannoli-eating experience with the very best of New York, I doubt anything will ever measure up! Thank you to FoodTours and our wonderful guide for taking such good care of us. | ||||||

| This was my second experience on the Greenwich Tour. I've also taken the Chelsea Tour. Obviously I enjoy the tour or I wouldn't have participated again. However, I found our guide this time to be significantly less enthusiastic and entertaining than the previous two tours I've taken. She never even introduced herself. I asked her name when the tour ended. She was very knowledgable about the area and establishments, just not very friendly or outgoing which in my opinion significantly detracted from the overall experience. | ||||||

| The tour is fun and informative. I really enjoyed it. The tour guide is friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the tour. Some suggestions: you should forewarn interested parties that in the winter time to dress appropriately; for those who do not weather the cold well, they should take the Greenwich tour which is 2/3 indoors. You might also mention to participants to turn off cell phones! | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed the tour despite the freezing weather. Our guide, Mike, was knowledgeable and charming. The food was tasty and it was great to learn more about the area, as well as getting a perfect restaurant recommendation for dinner! A good way to glean some insider information for non-New Yorkers. | ||||||

| Kurt was our tour guide on the 12/3 tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour. I loved learning all about Chelsea Market; the merchants there clearly have great passion for what they do. I also enjoyed touring the Meatpacking district. I would never have been able to navigate that myself, and certainly would not have enjoyed it so much. Great job!
