| We had a wonderful time on this tour! The food was fabulous as was the tour guide. He taught us so much about the history, architecture, and culture as well as current life in the Village. It made us want to come back and spend a whole day! | ||||||

| I found this tour on a NYC website, read the reviews of others and booked it for 5 of us. We did the Greenwich Village Tasting Tour and LOVED IT! Cindy was our guide, very enthusiastic, well-liked by the local businesses (we even got a sit-down pizza tasting with wine from John's Pizza, which is not a normal thing), and totally educated about the surroundings of Greenwich Village!!!!! Our group even had a sighting of Paul Benedict (who was the crabby neighbor of the Jefferson's on that 70's tv show). We had a lovely day on Nov. 11, 2005 to walk the neighborhoods even though it was a bit cold. All of the tastings were great (especially John's Pizza!) from the other pizza place, the cheese shop, the bread shop and both of the wonderful pastry shops. We were all so full from our tastings that we skipped dinner that night. Several of us even went back before our trip ended and purchased items to take back to Texas with us from those local businesses. All five of us would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see a differnt part of NYC rather than the tourist trap areas of Times Square and Canal Street. | The Greenwich Village tour was outstanding! We were looking for an off the beaten path tour and this was it. This was the hit of our trip to NYC and we will be talking about how much we enjoyed this tour for a very long time. Cindy, our tour guide, was GREAT!!! She was knowledgeable and very entertaining. Our 3 hours on the tour went by so quickly. Every shop was unique & the food was wonderful. We received so much information which allowed us to come back and enjoy the area on our own. This is a must! | ||||||

| My wife and I enjoyed this tour so much two years ago, we decided to go on it again. We were not disappointed! While some of the stops were the same, they were several that were new. Cindy was our guide and she did a great job. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a "behind the scenes" view of Greenwich Village, its people and its wonderful food! | ||||||

| Cindy, our guide, has a terrific rapport with vendors and restaurants we visited, and we were treated like like long time patrons every place we visited. She is tremendously knowledgeable on the history of the area, and her enthusiasm made a fun tour just that much better. Plan to do it again and recommend it to everyone I know. | ||||||

| Thoroughly enjoyable. The guide was excellent, obviously a knowledgeable foodie. Also gave us lots of interesting historical and architectural information about the neighborhood. Definitely worth including in your plans. | ||||||

| This tour was the first thing I did during my weekend vacation to NYC. It was so informative and fun. I wish I could've done a tour of every neighborhood. The food was delicious and the tour guide was very knowledgable about the history and architecture of the neighborhood. I think the tour is a great value, at only $40. I have already recommended it to others and would even like to do it again. | ||||||

| the was definitely one of the highlights of our stay in the BIG APPLE! the food was the main attraction when making the reservation but in actual fact this was matched by the historical information offered up by our guide kurt. i'd recommend going as early as you can during your time in NYC, allowing you a chance to return to some of the eateries you'll visit on the tour - which you are sure to want to do!!! | ||||||

| Great food, places of interest in most tour books highlighted, host knowledgeable and able to answer most questions (good sense of humour and highly entertaining!) One of the best things undertaken on my short holiday in NY. Wish I had of had time to go to some of the restaurants mentioned on the tour! Chocolates were very impressive. | ||||||

| On a recent trip to NYC, this was the one activity that I had decided that I wanted to do, and my husband was just going along. Kurt was our guide, and he was terrific. He has a great personality and a real love of the village that shown through throughout our tour. My husband and I both enjoyed learning about the history of the area and trying some great food. My husband's favorite was the Turkish at the end. I liked all of it! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone - it was a nice group and enjoyable afternoon. My husband and I came back to the area several times to try out some of the places we had enjoyed on the tour. I'm interested in coming back and trying the Chelsea/Meatpacking tour as well! | ||||||

| This was a very well organized tour. Everything was well explained at the start and being provided with a map and water was very helpful. The tour guide was great, very enthusiastic and he built up a good rapport with the group very quickly. I loved the fact that we didn't know what types of food we were going to get until we arrived at a particular joint. Made it a bit like a mystery tour. Having a small group made a big difference too. | ||||||

| I puchased this tour as a birthday present for my best friend. We looked foward to it all weekend and we weren't disappointed. Our guide, Curt was erudite, witty and charming. His personality and quick wit were key to the fun of the day. His stories, legends and valuable insider tips were delivered in an almost conspiratorial manner. His love of the area and his familiarity with its often quirky history and the people who live and work there today made Greenwich Village seem welcoming and familiar to us..outsiders. Curt seemed to know everyone. The tour gave us what we could never have found on our own...views inside the heart of the Village - courtyards, gardens and secret doors. The food sampled was wonderful and we went back to several places to buy edible souvenirs. We couldn't have had a better time. Even the weather was incredible. It was a gorgeous Indian Summer midday in a more laid-back New York City than its old reputation describes. It is an experience not to be missed. | ||||||
